Listen, it isn't Maximus. It's sold out, but there aren't any tickets left—not because they're being scalped, but because they're just gone... 😁 For the first time, I'm actually heading to see Bernie just because I've always been a fan... 😁

It’s pretty obvious there are all sorts of people in the stands, each showing up for their own little reasons. But honestly, even if the folks in the North Stand spent the last five years relentlessly mocking him, they could keep it up for another fifty and achieve absolutely nothing. The financial structure at Real Madrid is just too massive and driven by too much interest... and when I think back to that whole Lionel Messi style of play, or when I politely pointed out that his head wouldn't be moving from the club anytime soon—even with those "Get out, thief" signs—I ended up getting banned constantly, forcing me to make new accounts just to speak my mind. Yet, the reaction from those critics was actually the opposite of what they intended. He tightened security like we were living in Korea; during a standard game against the USA with maybe 3,000 people in attendance, it took nearly 45 minutes just to reach my seat. First, you're funneled through the metal detectors at the gates, then they check you against a blacklist, followed by a pat-down, and then more searching inside. If they find you even slightly suspicious, you get sent to a secondary screening area for an invasive search, then back to another list check, and finally toward the stands. It felt like a psychological tactic designed to drain whatever willpower you had left after such a long wait.

You're absolutely right, Tom... I completely back you because you know your stuff, but I honestly feel like the response needs to be even tougher when things like this happen. It would be way more effective if we just cleared out the defeatists from the stands—I mean, what is the point of a fan section if it’s just used for insults? We need to get rid of anyone trying to sabotage the club, whether it's through flares or those constant negative chants...

Everyone knows we need to fight for change, but the Lakers are the Lakers. No matter what happens next, this is the club we ALL grew up with on this damn forum, so the passion is there for everyone, regardless of how much they've trashed them in the past.
I'll say it again: there is still plenty of fighting ahead of us to get back to a better, more transparent, "old school" Lakers, but that doesn't mean you should hate the club or the people who still consider it number one despite everything.

Exactly. I think those certain anomalies are a major reason why the group has dwindled to its current size. It’s fine to have an opinion, but when arguments run dry, people resort to ad hominem attacks... subtle insults. Ever since the 80s, the group has always been at odds with management, leading to constant infighting that just erodes everything—from boycotts to the whole battle over reclaiming the Lakers name, through the Dalton brothers era, and even the Eto situation. As much as I once wished for the day they'd finally shut him down or take him out, seeing how much time has passed, he clearly thinks he's untouchable. We might as well place bets on what our next fight will be... maybe it'll be about the coefficients while they renovate the official offices. 😁

Anyone who feels any emotion toward a club like this is sick, one way or another...

It’s just fools and a few weirdos posting here. This isn't some legendary franchise; this is just GNK, the biggest mistake ever...

Hang in there, losers.

Look, man, I've been tied to this club for three decades, for better or worse. Here's the thing: even if you boycotted, nothing would have changed for the next ten years under that ownership. Don't let your best years be wasted on bitterness and hate. I mean this sincerely, even though things haven't been perfect for me since the Canjuga era—back when the Lakers had that killer squad, but we were fighting just to keep the identity alive... obsessing over things you can't actually change only leads to one place. Most clubs run their own way without asking fans for permission. You're either in or you're out. Take care, and I truly hope you find some optimism... By the way, we can talk more if you think being a part of GNK is just a formality...😁 Guys, hang in there. (I still remember that cup game in Chicago against the Red Sox, half the Lakers fans behind the goal while the rest were standing up in the East... we need to move past those divisions...)

If you look past the occasional ups and downs, this club actually has some depth and structure now. For once, I can actually watch them pull off a couple of solid one-two passes during a game. I guess I’m just old school—don't get me wrong, I'm no fan of Mamich—but I can just feel things shifting in the right direction. It looks like we might have a group of gritty players coming up, though based on what I'm seeing, there will always be those critics who find something to complain about. Honestly, none of that matters if we can finally start seeing real results on the court...
Bad Boys in Fans ·
John, what do you mean by defeatism? Why even bother showing up to the games if that's how you feel? Are you one of those people who thinks everything is just Mamich's fault and everyone should just walk away... Come on guys, take it easy. For years, the North Stand tried to push back against Mamich, but nothing changed. In the end, they couldn't move him, and they never would have been able to do it that way...

Robert Cooper60 said:It wasn't even about the tickets, it was just the ridiculous lines. You have to stand there for an hour when there are only 5,000 people at the stadium. Even if you join the club and get four games of your choice, you still have to wait in line just to get your pass made. I was wondering if season ticket holders can just walk right in or if they have to wait too... because even with a membership, the digital code doesn't work, so you end up waiting at the box office for that free pass (so, more waiting)

Man, what a mess. I’ve been stuck in those lines myself, and honestly, I’d rather be chopping wood than standing there. It got so bad that scammers were even showing up to take money from the people at the back of the line. There might only be 7,000 people at the game, but it feels like Madison Square Garden is sold out, and even then, the organization is a joke. I heard a rumor that you don't actually have to wait for them to make your card since you can handle it all online. If that info is wrong, my apologies, I guess the league officials know better than I do)

I actually had a doctor tell me she gives this to her own daughter as a preventative measure; she believes small doses can even be healthy for muscle relaxation. Personally, I hit a point where if I took more than 10mg of the blue pills, I’d end up polishing off the whole bottle in one day just to try and sleep... and even then, I wouldn't be able to drift off. Once the effects wore off, a crushing depression would hit me, feeling like a death row inmate with absolutely no hope for parole. It's a good thing the US has tightened regulations so you can only get a month's supply per prescription, whereas back in the day, you could grab them for $5.75. Nowadays, you see people in places like Chaplin picking up massive hauls, and it's honestly wild seeing elderly women walking out of private pharmacies with entire bags full of Normabel, Praxiten, and even Tramal. It feels like there's zero oversight from the government lately...
Fan-led charity drives in Fans ·
Honestly, there’s nothing more noble than this... giving a part of yourself just to give someone else a second chance at life. This group has been doing it successfully for decades now. That’s the whole point—living with a clear conscience and giving without reservation (provided health allows, of course)... others can call us whatever they want, but at least we can look ourselves in the mirror every morning and feel good about who we are.
Bad Boys in Fans ·
I’m a bit confused about the season pass situation. Isn't entry free all year long since it's a season ticket? I thought you guys mentioned we get four free games earlier... what gives? Also, I'm looking into that Washington, D.C. team. How strong are they really? Can we actually take them down? I just need them to round out my parlay...
Bad Boys in Fans ·
Come on, guys, what is this whole page even about? It feels like you're all stuck in some political asylum... There’s no denying a massive amount of money was poured into building Yankee Stadium, which still isn't even finished. It's just like what happened with Johnson... "whoever guaranteed it, guaranteed it." Personally, I don't think we need a massive venue like Madison Square Garden in terms of capacity. It would be more than enough to start with something for maybe 15,000 to 20,000 loyal fans. Yankee Stadium barely hits full capacity once a year, and honestly, I can't even remember the last time we actually sold out.

Drew Booth60 said:I get the feeling the cheering from the South sounds a bit more intense than what we're hearing from the North...🤷 When that "Serbus dear New York" chant used to echo through the stadium, things got intense. A buddy of mine was out East with his wife and a friend, and he told me the atmosphere from the fans was absolutely electric...

The logic behind the stadium design says it all. To me, the North Stand feels way too spread out, which just pushes a huge chunk of the crowd toward Forest Park... The South Stand has that nice oval shape that helps with the acoustics, though it doesn't hit quite as hard as I'd like. Meanwhile, once you get to the East Stand, the sound starts echoing everywhere like church bells... 😁

North, South... it’s all just semantics. There are plenty of legends, outcasts, and everyone in between 😁 . Look, guys, if we don't step up right now and turn this momentum into something real—whether it's joining the annual membership, showing up en masse to games, or hitting those blood drives—we're going to miss our window. More than anything, there was this sense of positive energy today, not that loser mentality... So, to you old-school fans who spend more time complaining at home or acting like you've seen it all—and I know some of you just live to find the negative in everything—it won't kill you to show up. Your crown isn't going to fall off if you make it to at least the first home opener of the season.

Regarding Vinkulj, if anyone is having trouble getting their card, I’d suggest trying through the Association (American Legion)... that's how my computer signed me up, though we did have to provide all our details, from our SSN to our date of birth.

Ugh. Just checking in after my trip to Miami... I honestly don't get the vibe lately. Is there some unwritten rule now where we aren't allowed to celebrate a win against a bottom-feeder, or am I just losing my mind? I realize domestic MLS games aren't exactly prime-time entertainment, but this whole mess feels like déjà vu. What good are all these trophies if we’re just fodder for goal differences in the Champions League? On a brighter note, one of the highlights was seeing the fans show up. We practically packed Goldman Sachs for a scrimmage, all under the leadership of Vaha Halihođić. He actually asked us to dial back the noise so he could focus on training the players before the Bruges match, so we made a little deal... about 30 minutes of pure chaos. Those were the true Thunder days. Does the fan leadership have any actual plan or stance for next season, assuming that absolute wreck of an owner stays in charge?

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...&fref=mentions HERE IS AN EXAMPLE: IF I CAN SEE THE FIELD FROM THE WEST STANDS WITH MY EYES CLOSED, WHAT ON EARTH IS STOPPING YOU ALL?...
Bad Boys in Fans ·
Look, everyone needs to start with themselves first. Forget about the drama surrounding the owners or management... If you want to support LA Galaxy like a true New Yorker, you’re more than welcome, regardless of your style—whether you're a skater, a metalhead, or a punk. If anyone has an issue with the songs we sing, they are free to find another section... I have a photo on Facebook I'll post later from when I was at a match against San Francisco; the West Stand was basically empty, while the North Stand looked absolutely depressing, with maybe six scattered people spread across the whole thing, which is just shameful ("I'd give a billion dollars just to see a full North Stand...") whereas the East Stand had 1,700 people, even if it felt a bit too much like being at a theater. The hardcore group, maybe 250 of them, were making enough noise to make it feel like LA Galaxy was playing at Wrigley Field (and twenty minutes later, two more buses of fans arrived). I've been making this pilgrimage for four decades now, so I stick to the West or East stands. In my opinion, we need a few respected guys to step up and establish some internal peace. No one is going to lose their status over a joke, a hat, or a t-shirt; once you get involved, how you dress is your business. Choosing which section to join matters too, because everyone knows where everyone else sits, but that's a minor issue. Nobody cares about the old management anymore, but what about us? Where do we stand? How long can this go on?...

Looking at all these posts, you have to wonder how much is actually being implied... It seems like a huge chunk of the passive fan base is just aching for some real change.
