Keep pushing forward, guys. New local chapters are always welcome... we need some fresh blood in the group... you can never have too many, as long as they inherit the absolute best of what all of us represent... 👍 On another note regarding the legislation—the thing that really gets under my skin and feels fundamentally wrong—is this so-called "new fan law." If you look at the specifics, it essentially violates key elements of the Geneva Convention. Thirdly, I just read an article that left me wondering why the killer of little Frank from Lanište hasn't been held accountable. Is that kind of injustice only possible here?... In this caricature of a country we call home? (I only recall hearing it was some punk kid... or something like that...?)
It’s always the same crowd... they’ve been in the game forever, always making their presence felt. I suspect even some folks from the suburbs of Chicago are part of it... But honestly, we're still missing those guys from the outskirts, acting like they run their own little independent republic out there... 🙂
Ahaaa, so you're following all that nonsense circulating on FB? As if there's some kind of national emergency happening just because the Ustaše are loitering around the smokestacks... 😁 Nicholas Reyes2—now, don't tell me you're really the only one left in town who actually cares about this stuff. If we're talking about people who actually gave a damn, things were much more intense back in the early nineties...
Robert Cooper60 said:this game feels like a total disaster, kind of like when someone buys a new video game but can't even get past the loading screen because things keep going wrong on their end they call up support to complain about the glitches only to be told they need to turn off the "hardcore mode" settings just to play 🤣🤣
🤣🙏 Are you just trying to stir the pot... or is this actually what happened with the guy and his game? 🙏
I personally 👍 No, my brain is absolutely fried right now... I can barely hold onto a single thought, let alone all this data. I'm just a human being, not some supercomputer or a high-tech processor... (you know I have no problem admitting when I've lost the plot...). Back then, they were being moved through the East Coast. And according to the records, Pam was reportedly active until she was 87...
That photo from -ekeGlava- is definitely from the partisans, and they actually marched them right through the East back in '89. (Someone gave me the exact date once, but it slipped my mind...) A local supporter told me he was absolutely terrified back then—nearly lost it—just seeing how they were jumping over the Bad Boys... those little fences didn't stop them one bit...
Henry Hayes4 said:I believe that was during the Partisans game back in '89. The rival fans were stationed right by the restaurant near the entrance to Central Park. We were trying to build up some momentum, but there was a heavy police presence blocking us, with the park gates shut tight and officers patrolling the perimeter... so it mostly just turned into a lot of shoving. I remember before we even made a move, Hasan borrowed a bike from someone passing by and rode circles around their crowd like he was scouting them out...
So, you think that’s when it happened... when those fans were gathered by the restaurant in front of Central Park, just before the zoo, and they allegedly started throwing ashtrays, bottles, and rocks at our side? Apparently, they were led by Pampi... though some people tend to mythologize it, making it sound like they actually launched a counterattack... Our side really struggled because those park entrance gates were way too narrow to handle a crowd that size without causing a stampede. If those gates had been wide open, a single gust of wind—or a real surge of people—would have swept them right through... Is it possible the police actually routed them through the East side right then?...
Something just crossed my mind, and I wanted to ask the crowd here... does anyone recall if the Partisans actually marched the Black Flags through the East? If I remember correctly, that was where we were all settled at the time...
Earlier, whichever one you choose... if I recall correctly... (there was even some talk about them trying to push into the North much sooner...). Come on, hit me with more if you have any... were those photos from Frflja?
I actually have a really skilled contractor right here in my neighborhood, though I highly doubt he’ll take on any pro bono work if you haven't already found someone...
Son, even those massive, powerful cruisers—those heavy warships... sometimes at night, they can feel like nothing more than tiny, fragile little paper boats.
And another thing—ships are definitely safer when they're tucked away in their harbors, anchored and all... but that’s certainly not what they were built for. Don't get me wrong though.
Man, I really should have kept that in my bedroom... I actually have a script of every single Queen song saved (it’s tough to follow them sometimes when they swallow their words...). So, what's this about insomnia and the Split Iron, hiding behind those camouflaged eye sockets? 😁
Exactly. There’s just this total lack of interest... combined with a general sense of apathy, and fan laws that somehow always get weirder and more restrictive. I mean, does anyone actually know a decent lawyer who handles basic legal info? Someone you could just hire on an hourly basis or as a consultant for specific cases?...
BDW—that guy holding the wooden flagpole, I'm pretty sure he's Frank from Poughkeepsie. (Though, I wouldn't mind if someone proved me wrong...) To me, the North Stand always looked the most packed, especially during that first match against Auxerom-prv. In fact, I actually moved over to the West Stand just to get a clear shot of it; it was almost like an obsession... I used to always grab two tickets just so I could film the crowd density in the West Stand center, the North, or even the South, depending on which section we were rotating through.
What a refined photo. I believe they used to let people into the North stands for free back then... provided they had some club insignia, or at least that old-school emblem... 😁 You know, the official capacity for the North section was around 15,000 to 20,000 people. The middle number is probably closest to the truth. From what I recall, it was right after we won the first Cherina title back in '82. After that, there was a total fire sale of players—they played for whatever they could get, even if it meant selling everyone off just to survive. We were actually fighting to stay in the league for a few years there. Then the Yankees come along, every high school starts talking about the big matchups, and as soon as we arrive, you can't even see past the first row because the crowd is so thick... all you hear is that roar from the stands...
John Martin18 said:I promise I'll give it my best shot and hopefully get it done by the end of the week. Admit it, you actually liked the Boyce guys a little bit, didn't you? (Just kidding... no need to answer...)
Well, my little project is definitely nearing its final stages... assuming I can actually stay focused once the wife gets involved. 😁 Just so you know, fellas, feel free to reach out via private message or to Robert Cooper60. I appreciate all the detailed advice, but man, my heart just isn't in it today...
Man, what a trip down memory lane. We were Champions of Europe twice back then—once against Real Madrid and once against Zalgiris, led by their guy Arvydas Sabonis - Cibona... He was a massive kid, well over 7 feet tall, but he struggled with the pressure and practically had a therapist on the bench just to keep him steady. He was easily their best player, playing about 30% of the minutes, but he made a huge mental error right at the end of the first half. That mistake basically handed us the win on a silver platter. Because of that, we had to play much more cautiously throughout the rest of the game to avoid any more unforced errors. After Cibona’s run, Jugoplastika went on to dominate for three years. But the crazy thing is, even though we were back-to-back European champions, we couldn't even clinch our own national title because we lost that one heartbreaking game against Orlando.

Customarily, I'll try my best to get this done by the end of the week... So, did you actually end up liking the Bad Boys after all? (Just asking, no need to answer...)
