Personality tests: Thoughts? in Psychology ·
Don't take this test too seriously—it isn't some deep reflection of your character. It's really just meant for a bit of fun.

Honestly, once you install a font on your PC and load it into Photoshop, the font name should pop up right there in your list—just check your downloads or wherever you saved it. Alternatively, if you want to get hands-on, you can just design one yourself using a font maker tool.

How do I stop these suicidal thoughts from taking over?

Has anyone here gone through something similar? If you have, I’d really appreciate it if you could share whatever helped you pull through and stay safe.
Nail extraction procedure in Health ·
Megan Cox8 said:Hey everyone...😁
Calling this "nail ripping" felt a little aggressive, but that's basically what we're talking about... I've got ingrown toenails on both big toes. Everything was fine during the summer, but now that I've switched to closed-toe shoes, it hurts like hell—one foot is even starting to get infected. I kept telling myself it would just grow out and I'd fix my trimming technique later, but nope, nothing works. I went shopping for winter boots the other day and there wasn't a single pair I could actually wear without the nails digging into the skin and causing total agony. So, if anyone here has dealt with nail removal, please let me know... how bad is the pain, how long does recovery take, how long until they grow back, etc...
Thanks, thanks, thanks...🙏 🙏

A friend of mine had surgery on both of hers, and honestly, the recovery was awful and she didn't see any improvement. They ended up growing back crooked again—just her luck, I guess.
What kind of person should I strive to be? in Psychology ·
My philosophy on life is pretty straightforward: strive to be an honest, decent person who lends a hand whenever someone is in need. I believe in being polite and treating people with genuine respect, especially those who show you kindness in return. At the same time, I don't believe in letting anyone walk all over me or take advantage of my good nature—especially those who offer nothing but trouble. To me, it’s about finding that balance; being a good person when it counts, but knowing when to stand your ground and be firm.

Suddenly my worst enemy in Psychology & Therapy ·
Honestly, who cares? You’re here to collect a paycheck, not to win popularity contests. Why bother trying to bond with a group of people who are clearly terrified of one woman acting like she owns the place? She’s acting way above her station just because she landed a management role. It’s ridiculous how much power she thinks she has over everyone already.

Just focus on your work and move on. If you've really had enough, don't vent to us—take it straight to the CEO. They aren't stupid; they can handle the truth. Honestly, grab a voice recorder or use your phone to document what's happening. Once you have actual proof of her behavior, hand it to the boss and let them decide if they really want someone like that running their team.

It’s like watching a child playing princess trapped in the body of a forty-year-old. You were right to speak up, and you should stand by what you said. Respect isn't something you get just because you have a certain age or title; you earn it through your actions. If the rest of the office is too intimidated to stand up for themselves, that shouldn't force you to be like them. She’s targeting you because you’re different, and it clearly frustrates her that she can't manipulate you the way she does everyone else. Keep your head up. Don't back down. Sometimes you have to be difficult with people who treat you poorly just to show them where the line is drawn. Stand your ground and look out for yourself, especially since the others won't. Eventually, those coworkers might actually appreciate your backbone, though personally, I’d probably just keep giving her hell while staying true to myself.

Good luck.🙂
Would you ever help someone who abused you? in Psychology & Therapy ·
Would you ever help someone who abused you?

Not in a million years!
I have been enduring abuse for eleven years now, and honestly, I’d rather she just pass away. She will never receive my help—not even at death's door—no matter how much I wish I could show her exactly how much I despise her. I tried being the "good girl" and staying obedient my entire life, but she is an even worse manipulator. Every single day, she treats me more poorly, attempting to control every aspect of my existence. The moment things don't go her way, she loses it. She'll smash plates, seize my laptop for long stretches, or even cut cables just to stop me from getting online to look for work.
I have absolutely zero privacy. The only time I feel like I can breathe is when I head to NYC to visit my boyfriend; then, for a moment, I can forget everything before returning home to this "hell."

My boyfriend is the only person who truly sees what my mother is really like. He wants to rescue me from this toxicity and does everything in his power to help me become independent. My mother, however, is fighting with everything she has to tear us apart. She claims he isn't good enough for me and insists that if I don't obey her, I am doomed. In her eyes, no man is ever good enough for me. It doesn't matter if he has a steady job or a car; nothing satisfies her. She already sabotaged one of my previous relationships through her behavior, and my ex-boyfriend absolutely loathes her. She ruined my childhood, and she tries to ruin my life day by day, but I refuse to let her. She deserves nothing but the worst. Actually, she even resents my current boyfriend because he actually has a backbone and recognizes that he could help me succeed in life—something my mother simply cannot stomach. She constantly blames everyone else for her own failures. She always asks, "Why do other people have money and successful lives while I don't? Why is it always better for everyone else?" It's the same broken record every time. If she ever acts like a saint toward me, it's just another tactic; she thinks playing the victim might work on me, but it won't.

I am not giving up. I will fight until the very end to stand on my own two feet. I would honestly rather live in prison than share a house with her. I truly wonder: who in their right mind would have trusted a woman like this to watch their child in preschool? No sane person would. -.-
Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
I haven't had my period in 52 days.
My cycle used to be very regular, usually coming in every 35 days. I've also been dealing with a yeast infection recently, and while I'm almost finished with the treatment, my period still hasn't shown up. Should I be concerned?
