Temp didn't hit 45 at 1.55V. Can I push it to 1.6V without frying everything?
It should be fine if you ran yours that high 😬
Won't go past 3600MHz....

wiredmarlin5 said:So you can just throw 1.55V at it? Does that mean 325 FSB isn't even the limit? 🙂

I tried a 9x multiplier and hit 370MHz...
I'll stick to 1.45V so the voltage doesn't screw me over.
And Super PI 17,391 with 😎

Sam Martinez2 said:How much can I overclock a Pentium D 2.66 GHz using a stock power supply if I've got an ASUS P5LD2 motherboard?

You mean with a stock cooler???
Nobody knows how much your CPU can actually take. Just try it. I assume you know how to pop a processor out of a socket without breaking it...
By the way, I hit 3400MHz on an E4400 👍 at 1.45V 😉

Yeah, right. Mike's gonna carry the whole DNC forum crew in Super PI

lol, what a creep 😂

wiredmarlin5 said:Does he really need a side panel that badly? There are plenty of other coolers out there that take up less space and actually perform better. But hey, whatever.

And they’re cheaper, too...😉

wiredmarlin5 said:I know what it is, 🙂but why on earth would he pick this specific one? For that kind of money, he could've just bought a real Typhoon. 🙂

You can see how little is even in his case, but I have no idea how wide a chassis needs to be to fit a Big Typhoon or a Sears Tower...😕

By the way, Mike, where on earth did you even find a Typhoon?

Bryan Wood49 said:Honestly, I don't know much about Super Pi or 3DMark... (and I care even less)... so... fill me in...😁

When you run Super Pi, just crush that 1M test. Start with 16K, then move to 32K... eventually you hit the 1M and let it rip...🙂
That's basically all you need to do. 😁
Also, grab a CPU-Z screenshot and open CoreTemp to check those temperatures...😉

Run a Super Pi 1m, not this...
Come on, post some photos so we can actually see it....

You're running a GTS with 340MB... 😂
Everything works fine until your temps climb past 140°F.

Bryan Wood49 said:Just confirming that the Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 hits 4.0 GHz easy. Even with the stock cooler, I'm pulling 4.02 GHz without any issues.😉

I intentionally pushed it to 4GHz because your ISA is just so...😉

Kyle Sanchez4 said:A buddy told me overclocking an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 doesn't void the warranty? Does Intel guarantee it up to 3.0?

Yeah, right. Like they guarantee you can push it to 3.5 GHz whenever you feel like it, or even 4 GHz on an Intel Core 2 Duo E6700...🙂

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overclocking voids the warranty!!!!

Kyle Sanchez4 said:Is it even worth trying to overclock an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 using just the stock cooler?

Yeah, why not?
My E4400 hits 1000MHz without even touching the voltage, and a stock cooler can handle that easily...😉

Nobody knows for sure. Every single chip is different, and it all depends on your motherboard and RAM...
The E4500 has a high multiplier of 11, meaning if you push the Intel to 250, you're looking at 2750MHz...
You don't even need a high-end board for this CPU; plenty of basic motherboards can handle an Intel speed of 250MHz. It's pretty straightforward. Get it?😬

Honestly, this is always my first stop whenever I log onto this forum. 👍

And there aren't even many photos of the build...😛

First off, which forum are we even talking about here?

Just tuck them behind the drive cage or in the optical bay...😉

Seriously? Why?!

Because there aren't any PC modders. ☕

Super PI Raspberry Pi 4

Still trying to dial in my latencies. Right now I'm sitting at 900MHz with 5-6-6-21😕
Any advice?
