Thanks!
My explanation was pretty bad. Just use Google. Bump up the FSB in the BIOS and if you hit a wall, just ask.
Do you know how to navigate the BIOS? If you do, look for where it says FSB 100. You'll probably find an option to bump up the FSB. Try increasing it by 1 to 4—say, to 104—then save and reboot into Windows. Keep an eye on your temps using Core Temp. Just keep bumping the FSB until the system fails to boot. That failure point is your max clocking without touching the voltage. If you want more, you can nudge the voltage up slightly to get even more out of the processor. Your RAM is likely running at a 1:1 ratio with the CPU right now—both at 100. The RAM might cause issues, though, so if it does, just lower it so it isn't running 1:1 with the processor anymore. To get the exact specs of your rig, just download Everest.

I've got an Intel Core duo E4300 processor, an NF650iSlit-A motherboard, and 2 gigs of 800 MHz RAM (Kingmax). I heard this processor can be pushed pretty far through overclocking, so I want to know how to go about it without frying my hardware. Thanks in advance!

You can change the Clocking in the BIOS, or just use Clock-gen to do it right from Windows.... Give it a shot. You've got nothing to lose, though I doubt you'll see much of an improvement...😳 Do you even know how to overclock?

New project. Picked up three car lighter USB chargers with blue LEDs (the super bright kind) and gutted them. Used about two meters of wire, did some trimming, and rigged them up. Now, one light flashes when the DVD drive is active (replacing the front one), the second for RW, and the third for HDD activity.
Drilled three holes in the case between the RGB fan and the red LED, tucked them in, and used some silicone at the bottom so they don't wiggle.
Now, whenever the hard drive is working, I’ve got a blue ring blinking on the ceiling. Same goes for the optical drives.
Bryan Wood49 said:Look, Joseph Carter9... why would I bother taking pictures of some basic case that hasn't even been modded? If you really want to see it, I'll snap a photo and send it to your PM. I'm not going to annoy everyone here with pictures of a basic case.😁
No, just take a photo and post it here... Please... I want to see it too. By the way, what kind of case are you running?

The Core 2 duo E4300 Radeon 1950 Pro and nForce650i-SLI Core 2 duo E4300 Gigabyte Radeon 1950 Pro are coming up soon. We'll see what this setup can actually do.
I'm mostly curious to see how much power the graphics card pulls with the improved cooling. I'll post the numbers here. Later.
Is that an AM2 ???? motherboard?🤣 🤣 🤣 My bad, but you can't put that processor on that board.... Recommendation: Gigabyte DS3
So, today I’m overclocking my cousin's AMD Sempron 2400 + which is currently running at 1.6GHz on some random ECS motherboard and some generic RAM... Without even touching the voltage, I managed to hit 2000MHz... You can't adjust the voltage or the multiplier on this board, either...
Paintball is killer... I was playing 3 vs. 3 with some friends, just pure chaos, we went through $57 200 rounds ($37 100 rounds + the marker) It was us six against the two guys who rented us the gear... We were all hit within 3 minutes.
Bryan Wood49 said:MY PC IS THE BEST!!! 😁😁😁 MY DAD IS THE GOAT!!!! Don't go attacking northerncrane33 right away.... Heh...🙂 _______________ Maybe he just wanted to show his rig can be overclocked. Doesn't matter how much or how. It's about the intent. I once overclocked my CPU just to prove to you guys it could hit over 4 GHz...😁
If he’d just said he clocked his CPU (which might even be stock) or his GPU, instead of claiming his rig is king and we're all losers, it would be different.👎
Joseph Carter9 said:Why are you even signing off on that??? The guy’s running a 6600 and you’re sitting there with a 9550. His GPU is at least twice as good as yours, yet you both have the same amount of RAM... and you're calling his setup worse? Interesting take. Maybe you don't realize that a 6600 actually outperforms a 9550. 🤣 If you ask me, his rig is better than yours.
Maybe you'll catch on eventually....🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Bragging about a Pentium 4... seriously?👎 Did I ever say he had a worse computer than mine or a worse GPU? At least I don't brag about my PC. I've never felt the need to. He’s out here flexing this piece of junk—so what does that make the people with rigs three times more powerful than his? He thinks he's "overclocking" a GPU? Give me a break. You click three buttons and the software finds the max core and memory for you. All you do is hit save. That's it. And one last thing, "buddy"—you're the pathetic one for bragging about a machine like that. 👎 🙂 🙂
It's not ATI tools, it's ATI TRAY tools.... Those temps are actually pretty low, maybe up to 140°F, but you aren't going to see much of a jump unless you start cranking the voltage.... Post some pictures of how you set up that cooling rig.....
Grab the ATI TRAY tools. You can just set it to pick the GPU or memory with the highest specs, then let it run its own tests once you bump up the MHz. On my rig, it stayed rock solid up to about 320/225... By the way, what are you using to monitor your temp graphs?
Nice job. I think the case needs a little work, though. I’m planning to add an 80mm fan where the optical drive goes and a 120mm in the back since I already have the mounts. One fan will blow over the hard drive. I still need to clean up the cables, but man, that's going to be the hardest part.
