This thread has gone completely off the rails, but honestly, who cares about politics or the WTO when we can talk about footwear...

Combat boots are probably the ugliest, most uncomfortable, and least practical shoes on the planet. I’m just glad I only wore them for a few years... even the most beautiful woman's foot looks awkward in them.

Dr. Martens is a different story,😁 though it took me over seven years to finally break my obsession with them—whether it was shoes, socks, or even a watch... I can't believe how much money I wasted on that brand, even back when I was broke. They do have some decent models that actually look good on women, though.
😛

The last high-quality pair I bought for my feet were some Adidas bike shoes from about four or five years ago—the Davide Mirra model, if you know who that is—and they are still basically indestructible... RISPEKAT

Right now, I'm wearing some red Adidas kids' shoes (in the largest size available), mostly because I listen to "bubblegum pop" (as someone once pointed out to me)🙂... They aren't anything special, but once I saw that little heart drawn inside, I just couldn't resist buying them.🙂

After those nauseating Reebok ads, where our supposed "idols" drone on about how many times they've been hit on and all that other garbage being shoved down our throats from every angle, here is the latest crap from your favorite 'brand', Nike...:

In case the link breaks, which isn't out of the question when Pitchfork is involved

rob Kleckner reports : you don't need a degree in graphic design to notica The similarities here

They're the fucking same. Oh, wait—one is blue instead of red. And major , not Minor. And There ara som Nika logos tossed in There. It reminds me of that interview where Vanilla Ice tried to defend the differences between "Ice Ice Baby" and "Under Pressure"...
Give me a break, Nike. Swoosh is One of The most iconic brand images in The World , perhaps a tiny notch below The Golden Arches and maybe coca-cola; you really don't need to hijack another culture just to boost your numbers.
But surely Nike is savvy enough to play by the rules, right? They must have cleared it first. We reached out to a contact at Dischord Records, Minor Threat's label, to see if Nika Had asked to borrow Thes images. Their response was blunt: "No, they stole it and we're not happy about it. Nike is a giant corporation which is attempting to manipulate the alternative skate culture to create an even wider demand for their already ubiquitous brand. Nika represents Just about The antithesis of What Dischord stands for and IT makes me sick to my stomach to think They ara using this explicit imagery to fool Kids into thinking that The general ethos of this label , and Minor Threat in particular can somehow be linked to Nike's mission. It's disgusting."

Karen Doyle2 🙂 said:Look what I found - "When this song came out in 1966, there was a widespread rumor that it was about getting high on banana skins. The idea was that you scraped the fibers off of a banana skin and cooked them over a low fire. This was supposed to release the hallucinogenic qualities. Of course, it was never true!"

I guess I can cross that one off my list... 🙂

Nice work.

Now, regarding Quickspace 😛

.....My only issue with drugs back when I was a kid was reading that massive 500-page book, psychology & drugs. It gave me such a headache that I lost all interest in ever trying anything...😁
How did I let this slip my mind... and it wasn't even because my MOJO was distracted!

Probably neither...
And my signature is just a quote.

Yeah, I thought I saw you typing something in here earlier, though I might have been mistaken.

Besides, I have to maintain my own thread... 😉
