Look, for heaven's sake, even in that dream cake of yours, there isn't enough room for a naked lady to fit without popping out the sides; they're just a bit too small for you, I suppose.🤷

Dennis Collins38 said:If you're such an expert, why don't you go ahead and change the tire yourself?

Look, sure, it might be a tight fit, but that’s why you carry the two-inch version. If you need a 10-inch strip, just tear off a piece, seal one side with a patch kit, and get it done.😁

I suppose we all have to learn the basics eventually.☕

Apparently, the color is an issue for him.😁

Pure racism.☕

It was incredibly rude and unprofessional of one of the moderators to act that way. People have specific needs here; they are trying to build an actual argument, and through their active engagement, they aren't asking for something inferior—they are pushing for a better, more organized Religion PDF. If you aren't willing to step up and actually help, the least you could do is stop making things difficult for everyone else.
Plenty of people don't bother checking that PDF, myself included, but frankly, why should you care?

There are plenty of things that can derail you, but a flat tire seems to be the most frequent offender. It’s also one of those situations where you might actually have a chance to fix it on the fly. Sure, you could snap a chain, crack a frame, or lose a brake cable, but at that point, there isn't much left to do except hope you're having some damn good luck.😁

Depending on your bike setup, if you’re dealing with quick-release skewers, you should carry a small wrench, a hex key set, a tire patch kit, a spare tube, and a pump.
Honestly, swapping out a tube is much less of a headache than trying to patch an old one, and the whole kit fits perfectly into a standard saddlebag.

So, when is the next big windstorm hitting the coast?!

True, but how on earth are you supposed to head back up against that wind??😁

hey there

The cheap ones go bald fast, while the pricier options tend to hold up a bit better. It really comes down to your riding style—you have to pick the right compound for how you actually use them. There’s a massive variety out there: everything from soft, grippy rubber to harder, more durable compounds. Just pick what fits your needs.😁

Let me know which ones you end up going with☕

Bryan Jones89 said:The point isn't that; unless a specific post violates the rules, it gets flagged with a red card to serve as a warning to the rest of the community. If a moderator slips up, that error should be handled transparently, not tucked away in some corner to avoid scrutiny.

I’d back that position. The only exception should be when posts are so incredibly offensive that they have to be scrubbed entirely.

Just bumping this thread so it doesn't die out on us. I’m constantly pushing my gear to the limit—currently running a recurve setup with carbon limbs, and I source all my equipment through Bass Pro Shops.

You’re far too talented, and frankly, that’s your downfall; the mods see you as a threat and won't stop picking on you.😁
I suppose you have to be a bit "off" to actually land a moderator role.☕

That’s just a natural phenomenon, following the old adage about cowards always running into the wind.🤣
Anyway, is anyone actually brave enough to be out in this gale right now? I tried making a quick trip to the local CVS and got absolutely hammered by the gusts. I'm staying indoors for the rest of the day.😉

It’s easy for you to defend us men, but just wait until the women over at the Women's Corner drag you down to their level, 😁

they're all busy right now, probably out shooting targets somewhere☕

Not here, but over there☕

Yeah, I hear you. It must be quite a mess when your vibrator batteries die out way too quickly.😁

Stick to Duracell from now on.☕

Bradley Taylor2 said:So, we’re back to this whole equality debate where women are being dragged through the mud and dismissed as nothing more than glorified incubators... honestly, it’s disgusting how some absolute bottom-feeders can just get together and openly discuss how women are essentially useless, have zero value, and shouldn't even exist... oh, and of course, they think they’re the absolute cream of the crop, the pinnacle of humanity... I truly believe this is blatant gender discrimination, and frankly, the whole topic has spiraled completely out of control. It seems like the moderators only step in to delete posts if someone dares to hold an opinion that differs from their own, while they let this kind of garbage stay up just to satisfy the whims of these bitter, sexually frustrated Neanderthals who probably missed out on enough motherly affection growing up... Beautiful. Just keep going exactly like this. Next, it'll be the LGBTQ+ community, Jews, vegetarians, non-smokers... you'd never guess we were actually living in the 21st century...

And we love you too🙂🙂

What on earth is wrong with my bike??
(

Honestly, nothing is wrong with it. It’s got more suspension than you know what to do with, which makes it perfectly fine for cruising around the neighborhood or taking the dog for a run through the park. Or are you joking? If you actually intend to tackle the route you're planning, you need a serious mountain bike with high-end components. For now, just strap that grasshopper onto a rear car rack; once you arrive at your destination, you can ride it locally.🤣

stormysailor7 said:Why on earth would anyone opt for a tent? 🤷
In the summer, honestly, the easiest way to go is just to crash out in a sleeping bag with a pad underneath you while you're out camping in the middle of nowhere.

Pack a tent—it’s non-negotiable. During the summer months, you never know what kind of spiders or snakes might decide to share your space, and you really don't want to deal with those surprises when you're trying to rest. As for gear, keep it minimal. Stick strictly to the essentials; overpacking is a rookie mistake that makes everything unnecessarily difficult later on. Water is your absolute priority. When it comes to food, eat light and frequent intervals—grab something small, fuel up, and keep moving. For your first trip, I highly recommend bringing a companion. Everything is significantly more manageable with two people, provided they possess the same level of grit and determination as you. Perhaps most importantly, though it's a bit cynical to admit: have enough cash on hand. Money can solve a lot of problems if things go sideways. At the end of the day, just get out there and start. If you hit a wall and truly cannot continue, stop. There is no shame in calling it quits, especially on your first outing; walking away isn't cowardly, it's practical.
Good luck. I'll be waiting to see what you come up with.😉

Olivia Moore51 said:you've once again proven yourselves to be lower life forms☕

There’s nothing inherently wrong with being a lower life form or existing at a lower stage of development—not if that individual remains consistent in their views. However, being a sycophant and a hypocrite while simultaneously pretending to occupy a higher moral ground? That is truly pathetic.
Trying to suck up to the moderators just to secure a better starting position or perhaps hunt for some unearned privileges doesn't make you superior; it simply exposes a complete lack of character.
A moderator is only as good as their ability to see through such transparent behavior.
