Here is a suggestion for future moderators (assuming we actually get any future moderators). You should open a dedicated thread for feedback, critiques, and suggestions. The garbage content seems to be getting stuck in those few existing threads, and I think there is a lot of untapped potential here. At one point (back in early December, if I recall correctly 🤔), things were actually quite lively.

First off, I really feel for the position you're in right now. But we've reached a point where nobody in charge actually seems able to moderate effectively. You don't have the bandwidth, Simplica (if I recall correctly) is busy with a newborn so her time is limited, and the admins are, predictably, always tied up with more pressing matters... As a result, the PDF is the one paying the price.
If they were to bring on two new moderators, I think that would actually make a difference. At the end of the day, it's obvious that the same handful of people are always the ones reporting posts. This whole mess could probably be settled by bringing in some fresh blood; new moderators could just send private messages asking people to stop off-topic rambling or to actually read the rules. You give them a warning first, then an official strike if they persist, and the problem is solved.
If any part of this is incoherent, my apologies—I've been battling the flu for three days straight and can barely keep my eyes open.

Uncle Strilet, I respect you, really, but you claim you clean things up whenever you get a chance. Honestly, with only two current moderators left, you shouldn't even have to deal with cleaning anything up. We aren't talking about 500 problematic posts a day on the trash board; it’s closer to five.
But even those five posts aren't the core issue. The real problem is how people fall into off-topic discussions day after day, and how nobody bothers to tell the newcomers to read the rules. That is precisely what a moderator's job entails.

That’s exactly where my frustration lies. What I was trying to get at is that if they decide to bump up the image sizes, we’re going to end up scrolling for an eternity just to bypass a sea of the same mindless, oversized graphics.
I'm less concerned with how the forum would function under those circumstances; my focus is more on what the end result would actually look like. 😳
The image dimensions are perfectly fine as they are. If we bumped them up any further, the whole layout would become an unnavigable mess—especially on a third-party mobile browser. Besides, I deal with this daily: some user ignores the rules entirely, starts quoting everyone in sight, and then we’re stuck scrolling through a million identical images just to find anything useful.
You could have specified which part of the Rockies you're heading to; it's not like there's just one single resort out there. Take this page, for instance. It provides a full list, but everywhere it claims "0 cm" of coverage next to the snow—which leads me to believe these people think "snow" means something else entirely.😬

From what I gather, most of the heavy lifting is done by checking IP addresses. But let's be realistic—most people know exactly how to mask an IP, especially those intentional about creating burner accounts. There's also the issue of shared IPs. If two people are using the same computer or hopping on the same Wi-Fi, they could easily be a married couple or roommates backing each other up in the threads.
Personally, I don't have any interest in playing the cloning game. I have zero desire to risk a permanent ban by engaging in that kind of nonsense, nor do I have any need for it, but curiosity gets the better of me. My apologies if this topic is out of place or if someone has already covered it elsewhere.
Look, we need to be levelheaded here. Discussions on alternative platforms ought to be structured so that both sides engage with the core issue through a lens of scientific rigor and logical reasoning. It shouldn't be a circus where one side clings to blind faith while the other refuses to even glance at the evidence.
