Do you have any thoughts on what kind of specs I should aim for? What specifically should I be looking to pick up if I want the absolute best value for around $300 to $350?
I'm looking to give my PC a bit of an upgrade since it’s been a few years now, and honestly, I just can't run any of the newer titles without some pretty nasty stuttering...🙂
According to Speccy, here is what I'm currently running: Intel Core i3-4170 @3.7GHz 8GB single channel DDR3 @798MHz Asus B85M-K motherboard (LGA 1150 socket) Nvidia GeForce GTX 950
Do you think it's even possible to swap out most of this for around $1000 and actually see a meaningful difference, or am I just dreaming?😁
If my plan is to eventually upgrade the processor and grab a new GPU in a year or two, do you think this setup will hold up... or should I just go ahead and grab the ASUS and that 500 W1 now so I don't have to worry about it later?
Based on what I put together above, if I go with that 500 W1 power supply and the ASUS motherboard, the total comes to $1312. That’s a bit higher than my initial budget... Is it still a solid deal at that price point, or should I be looking to build something better for under $400?

I'd actually love to see two different options. One would be a complete setup without a DVD drive,
and the second option would exclude the hard drive, the optical drive, and the power supply—since I've still got those parts from my old rig and I'm thinking about recycling them...

I'll definitely check it out. It's been way too long since I've seen a truly solid comedy... most of what gets churned out these days just doesn't land for me at all. That said, I've always had a soft spot for French style humor, even when it's adapted... 🙂

Is there anyone out there from the Seattle area who gets out on the water for sailing or maybe some paddleboarding? Honestly, I'm open to anything... I'm just trying to figure out which clubs are actually active in the Seattle area and if there's any way to sign up for a proper school. So far, the only thing I've managed to track down are sailing programs specifically for kids, and let's just say I don't exactly fit that demographic🙂
