Final Score 35-27
The opposition players were playing incredibly dirty today. Honestly, their conduct was nothing short of disgraceful.

dustypanther6 said:It’s almost there—Denmark is pulling ahead! However, I am struggling to wrap my head around their strategy. They just had an extra player on the field and were setting up a shot from ten yards out, yet they passed it off. Where is the logic in that? What kind of coach allows such a move?
That shot was all Harrison's. Given that he was completely unmarked at the start, and considering they held a five-point lead like a heavy bag of cement sitting right in front of the goal, Harrison hitting that shot was the only logical play. 🙂

Ronald Brooks75 said:Tell Troll that Vlašić didn't attack Rudić or gips first because he thinks he's superior; it's because they refused to acknowledge almost all of Blanka's results, excluding world and European championships. They basically ignored everything from the rallies to the Diamond League. That is the core issue, not a question of talent. Once gips hit back, the whole mess spiraled out of control for everyone involved.
And that is essentially what you have been rambling about this entire time. I am merely summarizing it for you since you clearly lack the mental bandwidth to process long-form posts.
It is fortunate that the internet acts as an eternal archive; it preserves everything from Vlašić's comments on water polo and Rudić to these remarks regarding skiing and gips.
History truly does repeat itself. First, Vlašić comes out swinging at his "athletic rivals" with total bravado. Then, someone close to him likely whispers that he looks like a fool, leading him to retreat. Yet, he still cannot help himself from implying his sport is "the" sport while treating all others as mere side shows.
Man, the guy alienated everyone at HOO with his outbursts, and now he’s looking for some kind of validation.
As for my supposed "lack of capacity"...
It seems everyone down there shares the same "genetic trait" as Vlašić, as you simply cannot stop insulting anyone who holds a different opinion.
By default, everyone here is apparently dim-witted, incompetent, or just plain slow. 🤮

Out of all the sports at this year's World Cup, this is our best shot at grabbing a few medals—maybe even gold!
Honestly, we might have more luck here than the handball team or Blanka does at the World Cup.
Just imagine if we pulled off a double in taekwondo with both gold and silver!
You're betting on a sport you can't even pronounce correctly.
We aren't winning any medals in taekwondo. In fact, we won't see podium finishes in MMA, handball, or gymnastics either.

This whole saga is still dragging on. 😂
It truly baffles me how anyone can echo the views of such an ill-mannered individual driven by nothing but a massive ego.
Should I start repeating exactly what that peasant was shouting about water polo, Rudić, and the USOPC two years ago? Well, two years have passed, and that same egoist is throwing the exact same temper tantrums, only this time it's about skiing.
And people think someone like him deserves accolades? He should be handed an award for being the biggest unsportsmanlike character in American sports history. It’s mind-boggling how he can even dare to demand anything from the USOPC after the nonsense he spewed back then.
Who has he been picking fights with over these last two years? He's gone up against a coach boasting 9 Olympic medals (4 gold) and 6 World Cup medals (6 gold), and another coach with 4 Olympic medals (3 gold), 4 World Cup medals (3 gold), and 6 European medals (3 gold).
Gips has stooped right down to his level, whereas the USOPC, instead of just defending their decisions, could have issued a statement clarifying that anyone who belittles other disciplines—using arguments like water polo being a "left-wing sport" or claiming skiing is a minor sport just because there aren't Black athletes from Africa—and minimizes the achievements of others, doesn't deserve any recognition from the USOPC.

Good heavens...🤣🤣
Think of it like this: Balić is always the runner-up, yet he remains the ultimate outlier. 😁

To my mind, greatness belongs to those who truly rule their respective sports. Think along the lines of Blanka, Janica, Usain Bolt, Lionel Messi, Michael Jordan, or Balić...
🤣 😂
In what way does Balić dominate his field? He hasn't tasted gold since 2004, though he did secure one major trophy with his club team.
Yet, he remains elite, whereas Kostelić does not. It is as clear as day: Balić's silver medals represent true excellence, while Ivica's achievements are merely signs of mediocrity.

Perhaps I was being a bit too harsh by calling skiing a subpar sport and labeling Ivica an average skier. He isn't exactly "average," but he’s certainly not in the elite tier.
To me, true world-class greatness is defined by athletes like Janica in skiing or Blanka in high jump.
But what on earth are you rambling about?
What exactly does someone need to achieve to be considered "world-class"? Did he grab three medals at the Olympics? Has he been a World Champion? Has he clinched a Slalom World Cup title?
Should we count him as elite just because he finished 4th, 5th, and 6th in the overall World Cup standings over the last three years—essentially saying he belongs there because only three or five skiers were better than him? Is he currently sitting in third place in the overall standings with a massive shot at taking the top spot tomorrow? Or should we look at how he was the undisputed best skier on the planet last year before an injury sidelined him?
What more would it take for him to reach that legendary status in your eyes?

This one is explaining everything to me as if I were Zlatko Mateša myself. 🤣
Man, I am completely losing interest in both Gypsum and Vlašić.
If this bothers you that much, go protest outside HOO! You and Vlašić can team up.

HOO gave Vlašić his answer.
An Olympic silver medal beats out world gold any day of the week.

analogowl122 said:Let’s not drag this into the mix. It will just lead to endless, pointless arguments.
If I may offer a quick observation, I find this type of comparison entirely futile and unproductive.
It simply fails to provide the full picture.
-Roger Federer doesn't have an individual Olympic gold or a Davis Cup title. Does that make him significantly inferior to Janica?
-Michael Jordan only has one Olympic gold and no world championship medals, yet he isn't even in the top 10 for NBA titles won.
-If we had a four-time Formula 1 champion, how would that stack up against all of Janica's golds?
-And what about Tiger Woods? How many golds does he hold?
etc...
Therefore, I am quite averse to such comparisons. It is impossible to judge fairly, as subjectivity always plays a massive role.
What exactly are you getting at?
Did I claim that Janica is the greatest American female athlete ever? I did.
Is there any female athlete who surpasses her? If so, please name them.
What could possibly be the connection between Federer, Jordan, or Woods and the point I was making?

We shall see who walks away with the Laureus award on February 7th! 😁
I am uncertain if Blanka will claim the title, but it seems obvious to everyone that Janica remains the greatest American athlete of all time, and that legacy will stand for a very long time.
Four Olympic gold medals! Truly spectacular!
Five incredible World Cup gold medals!
Two World Cups!
She is truly in a league of her own. Absolutely nobody can even stand in the same sentence as her!
I’m not entirely convinced that Gips deserved that award for 2010. Furthermore, an egoist like Vlašić doesn't merit any mention while he’s busy attacking other coaches and sports out of pure wounded pride. He went after Ruduć first, and now he's coming for Gips.
It’s such a shame that Gips chose to descend to that Australian's level. Instead, he should have maintained his dignity and simply said, "If you want the award so badly, go ahead and take it—you've certainly earned it!"
In my view, Vlašić was treated unfairly back in 2010, yet her recent conduct serves as a perfect testament to her true character and who she really is.
