Give me a break. We're going to "uncover" some big secret and then the US government will just swoop in and haul us all away... if they even bother to talk to us here in the first place. 🤔🙂
Man, what a waste. That trilogy was actually solid, but now it’s just 😬 . I'm really hoping they find some way to tie this back to one of the earlier entries. If they play their cards right, the movie should be a hit for those of us who actually enjoyed the original run. But why do you think the last one sucked? Is that just your take, or... personally, I don't feel like this is the end. My gut tells me there'll be some survivor barely making it out in the final scene, basically auditioning for a role in a fifth installment 🍿, but who knows... honestly, it might be better to just call it quits before the whole franchise turns into a complete joke .
Honestly, I say just get rid of the ref altogether. If someone commits a foul or catches an offside, they can just hash it out and be fair about it. Me and my buddies actually experiment with stuff like that down at our local park pickup games...
I think they were reporting on this over at CNN; apparently, there’s some mention of this being used instead of standard surveillance cameras or something like that. Personally, I think it’s a solid move. It might feel a little weird at first—though, let's be honest, we won't see them everywhere just yet—but I don't see any downside here. In fact, it would be even better if they could act as assistants.
I’m actually digging these Real Madrid ones; they’re pretty straightforward. Does anyone happen to know what that emblem on the right side of the chest is supposed to be?

🤣 🤣 I really think league standings should be decided by head-to-head records rather than goal difference. It just feels more fair. Look at how things actually play out: some powerhouse club (Team A) might absolutely demolish a struggling underdog (Team B) 6-0 or 7-0 early in the season when Team B is already dealing with a bunch of injuries or suspensions. Then, a month later, another solid team (Team C) comes along, and by then Team B might have recovered a few key players and managed to scrape together a decent result, maybe losing only 2-0. But over the course of the season, Team C ends up beating Team A twice. At the end of the year, Team A and Team C are tied on points, but Team A looks way better on paper just because they padded their stats against that one weak team. To me, that feels rigged. 🤷
Jesse Patel6 said:The trailer honestly just leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and there's no way I'm sitting through the actual movie because it would just ruin the whole DBZ experience for me... When I look back at how I used to sprint home from school every single day just to make sure I didn't miss the start of the episode, those were the days...
🙏🙏🙏🙏 If you watch the movie without assuming it's DB—just treating it like some standalone flick that happens to borrow elements from the show—the trailer actually looks pretty decent. brightnomad712, you totally forgot to mention that in the series, at least during the early seasons, Goku and the gang are absolute legends.😂😂 It’s honestly such a shame that the little guy isn't going to be in it...👎
Robert Wilson said:That’s a perfect example, even if you’re just joking around; nice one. Look, the movies explain certain things. In one of the sequels, they clarify stuff that wasn't in the first movie—like how his skin is basically invulnerable, letting him walk through fire or head out into the freezing void of space. To me, it feels totally illogical to sit there watching and wonder if he’s feeling too hot or too cold... On the flip side, they never actually address what I mentioned earlier regarding why nobody knows who he is... and that is literally the whole point of the story, right? Just some random unknown guy.... Listen, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. Tell me what you think, or let me know if I somehow missed the part where they actually gave an explanation in the films??
Yeah... fair point. I didn't think about it that way... he can't exactly feel the heat if he's fireproof.😂🤷😂 And as for changing clothes, why doesn't he just strip down while he's giving his speech?
Robert Wilson said:Or maybe just the sheer cliché of it all—whenever you hear "shoot the gas tank" in every single movie, it starts getting on my nerves. Honestly, I feel like just farting in the tank and watching the car go to hell would be more effective at this point. And don't get me started on those horror tropes where some hideous monster chases a girl around. The villain moves at a snail's pace, which the whole movie emphasizes by showing how slow he is, yet the poor girl keeps tripping over her own feet. They just keep cutting back and forth between her and him, and then, in the grand finale, the famous bad guy catches her (probably because he hit the nitro when the camera wasn't looking, and then turned it off once he did).
Then there's that ridiculous physics where a villain gets hit with a 9mm Beretta—which is basically a standard movie trope where the lead actor shoots some side bandit and the guy gets knocked clean off the set by a single bullet. It’s unbelievable.
When I say "realistic," I mean realistic within the context of that specific film. To me, that means whether the movie actually provides an explanation for its logic, even if it is sci-fi or pure fiction.
For instance, there was one movie where the lead had a specific handgun, and in just a few seconds of screen time, he mentions he modified it to hold more ammo. Within the world of that movie, that feels realistic because they actually gave us an explanation. On the other hand, in other movies I've watched, you wouldn't believe for a second how much ammo could actually fit in a 16-round magazine.
To clarify what Jessica Rogers2 was getting at: I doubt anyone here is talking about real-life physics or things happening in the real world. Take a Superman movie, for example. Personally, I don't think it's great, but hey, I'm no critic. He flies around lifting buildings and destroying stuff, but the movie explains *why* he can do that, even if it's only for a few seconds. Because those answers are provided, the movie stays "realistic" on its own cinematic level.
Still, there are exceptions. When it comes to Superman, it always drove me crazy how he puts on that suit and suddenly nobody recognizes him, when in reality, he just took off his glasses... Give me a break. It's like an >.
Take a closer look at what I wrote under my Superman section🙂.....and how is it that he never gets cold in that spandex outfit and briefs🤷🤷???
Come on, people, look at Superman. He’s flying, he’s literally reversing the Earth's rotation, he's lifting cars with two fingers... and you guys are stuck arguing about sex in the water? Just so I don't have twenty of you immediately quoting me to claim I'm talking about a specific genre, let me be clear: I am being sarcastic... Personally, I find the phones in movies to be the wildest part. A guy picks up the receiver, dials a number, and boom—he's connected and they're talking instantly. In reality, before they could even say, "Your account balance is low; please top up your prepaid minutes" or "The number you have dialed is not in service", they'd be done. But hey, classics are classics. Take a typical fight movie: at the start, the protagonist gets into a scrap with the toughest guy in the flick (even though he doesn't want to, but the bully calls him a coward). Even though our hero fights bravely, he never backs down, only to get absolutely wrecked by the other guy at the end. So, he starts training with some martial arts expert (maybe a Brazilian master), meanwhile, he hooks up with the tough guy's girlfriend (or the guy kills/beats his brother, friend, or family...), ☕everything is perfect for a bit, a solid 5/5 scenario, but then they have a huge blowout fight and, of course, reconcile right before the final showdown. The fight starts, the heavy hitter is pummeling him—it's bad enough an elephant would drop dead—but somehow, our guy pulls off the win and walks off into the sunset with the girl... Look, I still watch those kinds of movies (even if I already know how it ends) 😕 and I have to admit, there are some good ones out there, at least in my book.
