It’s basically just shock and your body’s survival mode kicking in... then comes the massive wave of overthinking. Honestly, nothing weird or unnatural about it.
You’d probably stop freezing up once those moments become part of your everyday routine instead of just random flukes, you know? Just focus on training for yourself—not for anyone else—and your confidence will naturally step up when things get real. And hey, jumping straight into a fight isn't actually "confidence," it's just ego talking... anyway, catch ya later.
If you ask me, PitBull’s got the edge since they run those MMA sessions too—so it's way more focused on mixed striking overall... whereas Mornar is probably better if you're strictly looking at kickboxing.
Is this the exact same GPU that Amy Vaughn12 was talking about? Like, is this one actually better or worse than what she suggested?
I'm digging the beefier power supply, though—that's a nice touch. Just help me find a different case, because honestly... I'm just not feeling that blue color. 😁 Maybe something black or red? And I have no clue if all these brands out there are actually any good or if they’ll even fit this specific setup... I mean, if that's even a thing you can do... 🙂
Do I actually need a cooler? Just wondering if I can cut corners there and save some cash... And also, does this motherboard come with built-in audio and networking?
Hey, instead of starting a whole new thread, I figured I’d just drop this here—I’m looking for a build around the $8k mark (mainly for gaming, movies, and some AutoCAD work), so if anyone could whip something up for me... 🙂 I can pay cash, or we can just do an order through Amazon or one of our local shops like Best Buy.
A few ground rules: CPU - strictly Intel GPU - gotta be GeForce SSD - nothing bigger than 256 GB should be necessary Don't worry about a hard drive, I'll just scavenge one from my old rig if I really need it
Anyway, the main goal is to run this (which I'm assuming is totally doable with an $8k budget, right?...) 🙂 My monitor is a Dell HD 24, just in case that matters for the setup. The sooner the better, I'm actually ready to pull the trigger today.
Man, I used to hit up PitBull all the time back in the day—they were the real deal—but lately, it feels like they’re leaning way too hard into that whole MMA hype train, even though their kickboxing is still actually pretty solid if you know where to look... Anyway, if you're looking for a spot, I'd say check out Mornar or PitBull—though personally, I think Mornar's got the edge...
👍 I say go for judo. As for boxing—honestly, everything’s been tweaked these days to fit specific age groups... you aren't just going out there and trading headshots left and right. It’s mostly controlled stuff, maybe some light sparring with headgear once they've put in the time, focusing on points and all that—so it’s really nothing to be scared of.
But hey, at the end of the day, let the kid pick what he actually enjoys. He’ll probably fall in love with judo too, especially with all those throws and the way you use momentum and everything... 😁
I remember (not that they’d actually go for a knockout, since they're way too young for that kind of thing), but that’s not even really what I’m getting at with my recommendation. The whole point is just hitting those fundamentals—you know? Like, boxing and wrestling are basically the bedrock of everything else. Honestly, after spending enough time in a solid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym, you probably won't even feel the need to get into scraps... because the training itself builds up this massive sense of confidence and just makes you hyper-aware of how strikes or takedowns actually work.
If you’re worried about him being able to hold his own out on the street—you know, just general safety stuff—maybe look into boxing or MT for striking, or maybe some wrestling or judo if he needs those takedown skills... Just take him down to a local gym to check things out and see what sticks... he might find something he actually enjoys...
So, based on everything we've been talking about—all of it—I’d definitely suggest going with TKD, especially if you pair it up with some solo strength work—you know, hitting the gym or just doing bodyweight stuff at home at least twice a week...
The thing is, I don’t really carry cash on me—not my style, unfortunately—so I’ve just been scraping by finding these little local spots where you can pay per meal... if you're hanging around San Francisco.^^ Does that basically mean I should steer clear of Dell at those price points? Also, what exactly is a pivot? And which specific model actually comes with a glossy panel?
a these? I know they’re a bit out of my budget—totally get that—but honestly, grabbing them at Best Buy just feels way easier... plus, they look pretty slick, right? Maybe someone knows a better deal in this price range, though? Like, maybe something sitting on the shelves at Target or even just some random online shop?
edit: actually, would these be a better move if they're $133cheaper ? Does it even matter if the screen size is a little smaller... or maybe these🙂 instead?
I mean, I don't really know much about the club myself—probably just as much as you do, honestly, mostly just hearing stories and stuff from people... but I always figure the best way to find out is just to wait until you've run out of other options, unfortunately. 😉
So yeah, that's basically the only Jiu-Jitsu club in the whole city of San Diego... if you want to get serious about it. I mean, honestly? Just head on down there, check out the vibe, maybe grab a trial session—and just see how you feel about it. 😉
