So, just like the title says—I’m not getting any notifications for new posts in my subscribed threads. Sometimes they actually show up for a few specific topics, but then most of them just... nothing. Total silence.

Is this some weird glitch with the forum itself, or is it just my Outlook acting up? I mean, is anyone else dealing with this headache right now?

Reddit is down... in Forum Help! ·
It’s alright enough in the mornings, I guess, but once it hits around 5:30 PM and stays that way, the site just refuses to load on Reddit. I keep getting hit with those constant 503, 504, and 408 errors 🙂🙂

Last night, I couldn't even get in until basically midnight. Does anyone actually know what's going on? 🙂
Would you ever help someone who abused you? in Psychology & Therapy ·
I honestly wouldn't lift a finger to help. It’s pretty obvious she’s just trying to play you—seriously, don't let her get in your head. I actually live with someone exactly like that, so I know the drill. One minute they're being perfectly sweet, then suddenly they snap, and then they're back to being great again... it's just this endless, exhausting cycle. I mean, your situation probably works the same way, where things seem fine for a couple of days before everything just reverts back to the old ways.

And about those photos? If they really are what you think they are—well, karma's a bitch! She's finally getting a taste of her own medicine.
Student-teacher dynamics vs. parent-teacher dynamics in Students & Teens ·
My class went through something pretty similar back in sophomore year of high school. We were in a vocational program, so we did all our shop work right there in the school workshop, split into two different groups. The teacher for the other group was honestly amazing—she’d been teaching them for three years straight, and they only just got a new instructor this fourth year. But my group? Man, we basically changed teachers every single year. In freshman year, we had an awesome instructor, but in the second year... oh boy, let me tell you.

That woman was constantly screaming at us. There were only 12 of us in the group, but because she gave everyone different instructions for sewing, everyone was doing something completely different. Naturally, by the end of the project, half the class had failed because she’d given them wrong directions in the first place. And if we actually tried to point out her mistakes? She’d just snap that she never told us to do it that way.

Not everyone knew how to use the industrial serger, so she’d spend her time yelling at the beginners who didn't get it yet, then tell the students who *did* know how to go over and help them. She actually ordered me to do that once, so I asked another student to run the machine for me—but the serger ended up jamming or something. And man, did she lose it! I don't even know who she was more mad at, the girl she made cry or me. She started going off about how I was always trying to get other people to do my work—which wasn't even true, mind you, it was literally her direct order!—and just kept ranting. Luckily, another girl helped me figure out how to use it during lunch break.

By the end of the first semester, she totally tanked our grades. I ended up with a C, even though I had three Bs on my record. Her excuse? She claimed I was being too dependent on her and that I was constantly begging for help, so she gave me a C. But then, when you don't ask for her help and instead ask a classmate or try to do it yourself—only to have it turn out wrong because of her bad instructions—she screams about why we aren't asking her.

One time, we were doing some projects for the school district, and they promised us all As, but those As never showed up. I don't even know if she ever recorded them, but she definitely knew how to hand out Fs.

She was insanely jealous of the teacher who taught my group during freshman year. Once we realized our current instructor was giving us bad info, we’d sneakily ask the old teacher for the correct way to do things whenever she was nearby. She’d give us the right answer, but as soon as our current instructor caught us, she’d start shrieking about how we shouldn't be running to other teachers while she’s supposed to be supervising our shop time, and she'd threaten us with failing grades.

She even gave one girl two Fs just because she didn't like the way she looked.😕

She barely even watched what we were doing or checked her own demonstrations. It wasn't unusual for someone to follow her instructions perfectly, only to realize they’d cut two left sleeves or two right sleeves and had to rip the whole thing apart. It slowed everything down so much, making our projects take way longer than they should have. I remember asking her once if she was absolutely sure she showed us the right way, and she just insisted she was.😕

We complained to our homeroom teacher constantly, but nothing ever happened. She was clearly on the instructor's side. I remember complaining to her once about how the shop teacher was always yelling, and she just shrugged and said, "Well, that student is just getting under her skin." Seriously? If someone got under *my* skin and I started yelling at teachers, I’d be in massive trouble.

I eventually went to the principal with my mom to lay out the whole situation, only for the principal to tell me, "That can't be right, she's an expert."🙄 Though, she did promise she'd have a talk with her about the yelling.

After that, my homeroom teacher actually pulled me aside and asked why I went to the principal and "told lies" about the teacher in front of the whole class.

The instructor calmed down a little after that, but it wasn't a real fix. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if she bought her degree somewhere.

I just needed to vent, I guess.

Raymond Rivera6, I really hope things settle down for you. That teacher of yours deserved at least a formal warning before being fired, but apparently, they're untouchable (just like the one in my story).
Eat up, kid! Come on, get some food in you! in Psychology ·
So, I actually live with this kind of person—it’s my dad. He was literally just trying to force me to take a whole pile of cookies into my room to snack on. I kept telling him, "No thanks," but he just wouldn't drop it. After I said no a few more times, he ended up dumping the entire bowl into a tiny little saucer and started chasing me down! I managed to bolt 😬
This is just insane! I mean, seriously, what is going on with those parents and doctors? It’s honestly wild how much craziness is actually out there in the world... I guess you really can't have everything, but still. They should be absolutely ashamed 👎
How to master lucid dreaming? in Psychology ·
It’s honestly so unfair. I’ve had two lucid dreams now, and the second I realized what was happening, I snapped awake immediately. I actually tried to "fight" myself—like, I was literally wrestling with my own brain just to stay under—but man, it just wasn't working. I remember this one dream where I was hanging out by a pool, maybe somewhere like a fancy resort in Scottsdale, and suddenly it hits me: *wait, I'm dreaming.* Just as I was getting ready to really lean into it and have some fun, I felt this weird sensation, almost like I was being sucked up into some kind of portal above me that leads back to the real world... basically, I was just slowly drifting awake. I was trying with everything I had to just stay grounded and keep the dream going, but I couldn't hold on—the portal just pulled me in and I woke up.
Why do people need a scapegoat? in Psychology ·
So, we have this one guy in my class—and I noticed something pretty wild today. For the first two periods, there were only five of us in the room (since there are usually 12 of us total), because everyone else had headed out to some competition or whatever. During those two hours, he didn't insult anyone once... honestly, we were all getting along so well, it was actually kind of chill. But then, the second the rest of the class walked back in? He immediately went right back to being a jerk and insulting people. It's like he can only act normal when there aren't enough witnesses, I guess.
