I’m really not in the mood for concerts right now.

I honestly think absolute beginners is a fantastic track; I find myself looping it all the time. 👍

Sometimes you just have to switch things up professionally to keep from losing your mind to the daily grind.

Luckily, I’m juggling two different gigs right now, so this "side hustle" keeps me from feeling stuck in a rut. 😁

Nice work!! 👍

Brilliant series, though if you ask me, this scene is hands down the best part 😁

What an absolute masterpiece. Just a quick thought on Stinkfist.

"First listen: This track is about fisting.
Second listen: It’s actually about pure overindulgence.
Third listen: It’s about the internal battle of self-acceptance and finding the vulnerability required to truly connect with someone else.
Fourth listen: It’s back to fisting."

I’d take Mina over her any day.😁

I’d probably be in the same boat after a night out with a heavy hitter like ExxonMobil 😁

If we were voting on an album of the week, I’d probably snag a single vote, and it would be mine. 😁

Total noise canceling. I can't hear a single thing my coworkers are doing at the office.

I was actually sipping on some sparkling water at a backyard BBQ yesterday; I guess that’s just who I am now. 😁

Heading out to get my shot today. Honestly, the worst part is knowing I won't be able to grab a cold Budweiser tonight. 😁

Arise

Desperate Cry is hands down one of the greatest metal tracks ever recorded.

There’s this one album I’ve been meaning to suggest for ages but never quite got around to it, which is basically Acid Bath - When The kit string pops!

The thing is, the record label that owns the rights to this album is absolutely obsessed with scrubbing it from YouTube whenever someone dares to upload the full record or even just a single track. They actually go as far as picking fights with fans over it, which, if you ask me, is a pathetic, low-class move. Since they keep everything off YouTube, there’s really no point in posting it here because nobody can actually hear it. You can find a version at this link where the audio is pretty muffled and rough, but hey, better than nothing. If you have an account, it’s available on Spotify if you want to give it a spin.

As far as the music goes, though, Acid Bath is this incredible fusion of everything under the sun, and they are hands down one of my all-time favorite bands. They’ve got grit, aggression, melody, and those twisted, dark lyrics—they really cover the whole spectrum. The album cover itself is actually a painting by John Wayne Gacy, also known as the killer clown (God, I hate clowns), who was one of the most notorious serial killers in the US.

I’m sitting here with this playing on the car radio during my morning commute, and honestly, I’ll probably be humming this tune all day long. Some guy on the station was claiming that "braintunes" are just a sign of an unstable psyche 😁

Honestly, that's garbage because you're dealing with shared bandwidth; I’ve had setups where the speed is lightning fast during the winter, but once summer hits, the whole thing crawls along like a snail in molasses.

The best move is probably just to ditch the internet entirely—it cures all those modern ailments and actually lets you live a normal life.

I’m just too old to be drinking late at night and expecting to act like a functional human being at the office the next morning. 😁

Here’s my two cents regarding the Album of the Week situation, since we’re clearly in the middle of an "airing of grievances" right now. The quality started tanking the moment we opened the floodgates and allowed an unlimited number of albums per week. We really should have found a middle ground—maybe 7 or 8 albums a week if 5 feels too small—because otherwise, the whole thing just burns through content way too fast. Let's be real, there aren't even more than 7 or 8 people consistently participating in this thread anyway.

Second off, if you suggest something and it gets approved, but then you fail to actually post the thread in real-time (before the next poll), you should honestly be banned from making any suggestions for the following two weeks.

Thirdly, I’m actually really attached to this thread. It genuinely makes my day when one of my picks gets chosen, and I truly enjoy the process of writing those intros. It’s a shame that because there are so many different threads, things don't stay active; I feel like there’s a tiny burst of energy around Thursday, and then everything just goes dead until the next Thursday rolls around.

At the end of the day, we could just wrap this up at 100 posts and try again sometime this fall, maybe with some slightly stricter rules in place.
