Hypochondria Chat in Health ·
I’ve honestly spent more time at doctor appointments this year than I care to admit, seeing all sorts of specialists... but every single time they start the exam, my heart starts racing like crazy. So, when you really think about it, the conclusion is pretty simple: we’re all just a little bit nuts!!!!!🤣
Growing up with an alcoholic parent in Health ·
So, there are four of us sisters, and we grew up with a father who struggled with alcoholism. We’re all adults now, though we still happen to be living under the same roof... and honestly, we’ve seen enough to last several lifetimes, so if anyone out there is going through something similar and needs a hand, please reach out. Between our own history and some of the work we’ve done with youth programs, we know how to navigate this kind of stuff, so don't hesitate to send a message if you need to talk... sending good vibes to everyone
Quick question... my head is killing me in Health ·
Don't be scared, but seriously, go get a more thorough checkup, trust me on this... it’ll just give you some peace of mind. Let me know how it goes, and if you need any recommendations, I can probably point you toward a few solid doctors in the area. But anyway, to answer your question—I went through some pretty heavy health issues myself, and neither my blood work nor my eye exams showed a single thing. It wasn't until I developed facial nerve palsy that they finally caught what was actually going on with me. And honestly, having your vision get blurry from time to time isn't out of the question either. My best friend's mom is a nurse, and she always says that sometimes things just happen without any warning at all... you just have to deal with it.😛

Well, alright then!!! That makes me feel a whole lot better. I guess my main question now is whether this actually lets up after a while, or if it’s just one of those things you have to learn to live with forever... I mean, there are days when I don't even notice it, but then there are other days where it really gets to me, and I get this weird sensation like I might lose my mind or something. I keep asking myself how long this lasts and if it ever truly stops... thanks. I know I'm complaining here, but you guys have already been through this twice over. I really hope everything is okay with you all now? In my case, I had a clear spot on my cerebellum. Oh, and one more thing—did you find yourselves sensitive to extreme heat or freezing cold temperatures? Or am I just losing it?????🤣

So, has anyone here actually gone through with brain surgery????????
Brain surgery recovery: What to expect? in Health ·
About a year ago, I underwent a cranial decompression surgery, and honestly, I’m just desperate to find someone else who can share what they went through... Everything seems fine on paper right now, but I am still feeling these lingering effects—this constant tightness, aching around the incision site, those strange little pinching sensations, just all sorts of things... I really just need someone to tell me that this is actually normal. I went back for a follow-up MRI and the doctors insisted everything looks perfect, but I’m terrified I’m turning into a total hypochondriac... because I am seriously spiraling here!!!!!!:🙏
