I play recreationally over in Columbus (the courts are a bit smaller than regulation, so there’s less sprinting but you’ve gotta have lightning reflexes). I’m part of this local club—membership is dirt cheap, plus there are plenty of solid players around, so it’s actually a blast to play. Honestly, I wouldn't want to waste my time playing with a total newbie, unless it’s just to show off some squash moves or hang out with a buddy. 😎 We usually get court time on Tuesdays from 5 to 7 PM and Saturdays from noon to 4 PM. I also occasionally swing by on Thursdays to hit with one of the guys from the club.
On Saturdays, we sometimes get more than two hours of pure playtime, though it’s never one continuous marathon like that session we had back in Chicago. I was playing with someone from the club, but we drove out to Chicago to play (that 100-minute stretch we talked about) In Chicago, they had two five-minute breaks, and man, you really feel it when the ball flies out of bounds (sometimes people do that on purpose 😳 )
By the time we finally sat down afterward, we were absolutely drenched in sweat. 😎
I don't even know how much a tennis lesson with a pro actually runs $17. Usually, you're looking at $17 for the court plus another 50 for the coach, so you're hitting roughly $33 total.
With squash, you basically just end up slapping an opponent's firm backside . I honestly thought Benjamin was more of a workout 😎 . But look, the main thing is just how you feel afterward 👋 . If you actually wore out the trainer, you'd be even sexier 👍 . Might have a few other guys trying to get lucky, too .
