Thanks so much 👍

A few months back, I ended up rewatching one of my absolute favorite action movies from when I was just a kid—you know, that first American Ninjas flick? And honestly, I’m just crossing my fingers that this one isn't a total letdown, though whatever happens, happens, right? I'm definitely going to check it out because there's just something about those old-school action movies that totally transports me right back to being a kid again.

Has anyone actually sat down and watched this action movie yet? Is it even worth my time, or am I just gonna be staring at the screen wondering where my life went wrong? 🤷

Jose Thomas6 said:I mean, look, we already know just how massive Avatar was, and honestly, after all those blockbusters he’s put out, there’s no doubt he’s gonna stay one of the most in-demand guys in Hollywood. But for me? He’s kind of one of those actors who always has the exact same facial expression whether he’s laughing his head off or terrified out of his mind... nothing really stands out, you know? But hey, I guess luck plays a huge part in this business too....

I’m right there with you when it comes to his acting "skills." 👍

As for him making a ton of money, I totally believe it, especially since everything he touches is basically a massive, high-budget spectacle. But man, if anyone actually knows the specific numbers—like, what did he pull in from Titanic, then Avatar, and now this latest flick? Or even just where a guy can go to find reliable box office or salary stats online, I would be seriously grateful!

It’s honestly kind of wild when you look back at how much luck one guy has had, right? I mean, first he lands a massive lead role in Clash of the Titans, then he’s starring in Avatar, and now this latest flick—and yeah, obviously, I’m talking about Sam Worthington.

Does anyone actually have any idea what his paycheck looked like for his work on Clash of the Titans and Avatar?

So, I just caught wind of this upcoming movie I’ve been dying to see, and honestly, even if it doesn't blow my mind, I feel like it’ll be at least decent enough for a solid first watch—especially since it's a remake of that 1981 classic I actually haven't sat down to see yet.

Check out this shot from the '81 original.

What kind of vibes are you all getting from this? What are your actual expectations for a remake of a flick like this?

Synopsis:
In the movie Titan Clash, we're looking at this massive, ultimate power struggle where humanity goes head-to-head with kings, and those kings end up clashing with the gods themselves. But here's the kicker—this war between the gods could actually tear the whole world apart! Even though he was born a god, Perseus was raised just like any other guy, which leaves him feeling totally helpless when he tries to save his family from Hades, that vengeful god ruling the underworld. Since he's basically got nothing left to lose, Perseus steps up to lead a super dangerous mission against Hades before the guy can snatch power away from Zeus and literally unleash hell right here on Earth. Leading a brave crew of warriors, Perseus embarks on this wild, perilous journey deep into forbidden realms. To make it out alive, he’ll have to embrace his divine power, face down his destiny, and forge a path of his own while fighting off wicked demons and unstoppable beasts.

Donna Gray4 said:Oh, give me a break, stop talking nonsense. So according to you, whenever someone offers a critique, they're obligated to go out and make their own poll? What kind of ridiculous logic is that? Before me, plenty of people on this forum critiqued other polls, and were they all supposed to drop everything and start their own projects too? Come on, settle down. As far as I'm concerned, we settled this a long time ago; I said what I said, and it stands, so believe whatever you want.🙂

Exactly! You hit the nail on the head. It’s like you have to provide proof, otherwise, you lose the case automatically. Can you even imagine a killer facing trial for murdering 20 police officers saying "it wasn't me" and then the court just has to let him walk free because he couldn't prove his innocence? No way, that's not how it works—you need evidence to show you're innocent.

So, how about we keep debating if you're actually in the mood for it? Just kidding, mostly! I really just wrote this post to breathe some life back into this dead thread.

Honestly, I'm also super curious—what's the actual premise of this documentary?
Oh, absolutely.
I mean, look, it’s not just about America—it’s about Chinese cinema and pretty much every other film industry out there too. We desperately need more than just those endless, soul-crushing disaster flicks; we need movies from all sorts of different genres to actually keep things interesting, don't you think?
