Tried everything, nothing works. When I power it up, the monitor just says "no signal." I even tried plugging the monitor cable directly into the motherboard instead of the GPU, but still nothing.
My Windows just froze on me, and after a hard reset, now it won't even boot properly. The PC turns on, runs for about five seconds, shuts itself off, then restarts and stays on, but the screen stays totally black. No BIOS, no error messages, nothing. Just blackness.
Here’s what I’ve tried so far: I checked the monitor. When I unplug the cable, it shows "no signal" and displays the Dell logo, so the screen works fine.
- I have three drives: an SSD running Windows 10 and two HDDs for storage. I tried booting with just the SSD—nothing. Then I disconnected the SSD to see if I'd at least get into the BIOS using an HDD—still nothing.
- I've already reseated the GPU, the drives, and the RAM.
Anyone have any clue what's going on? The rig is only about six months old and runs Windows 10.
I just picked up a new rig, but I'm already running into major screen flickering issues while playing games like Pillars of Eternity 2, Warhammer Total War 2, and Madden NFL 19. It's pretty intense. I've got an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 paired with a 60Hz Acer monitor running Windows 10. I even tried some online fixes, like messing with the overriding scaling mode in the Nvidia control panel, but nothing worked. My drivers are totally up to date too. Honestly, I'm pretty bummed out because I bought this PC specifically to game.

I’ve already got my peripherals, including a monitor, plus some extra storage (one 2TB drive and one 3TB drive). So, I just need a boot SSD, motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, PSU, and a case—I'm honestly not even sure if all the USB ports on my current setup actually work, but that's a whole other story.

Hey everyone. I've got a nasty cold and I'm worried that when I blew my nose, some mucus got pushed into my left ear. It felt clogged and was aching a bit for a day, but the pain stopped and the pressure eased up—except now there's still something lingering in there. I've got this tinnitus ringing, and whenever I blow my nose, I can hear a whistling sound. Nothing hurts anymore, but it’s super uncomfortable. The sound definitely lacked some punch, but it wasn't a huge deal since we could still hear everything clearly. When I was doing radio work, we could talk normally, but here through the speakers, you really feel the power and catch every single note. It's not that Arcade Fire is a weak band or anything, so the lack of energy wasn't on them. I was in Boston late last summer and it was pure bliss and total chaos. Last night just wasn't quite there. Though, for me, it certainly wasn't a "disaster."

The reason people mention the old Yugoslavian squad is because they were telling him at the basketball game how that '90s team could have actually taken on the Dream Team—that was probably the hook for him. That’s honestly what separates top-tier sound systems from the rest. You actually hear the band, catch every single note, and can still have a normal conversation. You don't deal with that muddy, buzzing mess you get from busted local setups where you're forced to scream like a maniac while they play. The real issue here was the mix itself; it was poorly executed because the high end was totally washed out. Everything from the organ to the accordion and even the strings just got swallowed up. The crowd looked totally checked out, though maybe that was just the trauma from waiting forever in those damn wristband lines.
btw, were you wearing that Robyn shirt? If so, I definitely heard your complaints through the whole set. They were driving me nuts! 🙂

Well, I'm a total West Coast native myself, so during my first season (back when I actually had free time), I was at almost every single game. I'm just looking at the TV ratings and what the commentators are saying. 🤷

"Never" is a pretty strong word, but I totally agree that the Lakers have a much better shot at staying relevant than those other three teams did.
btw, some folks who worked over at PBS mentioned that the Lakers don't get much hype outside of NYC, yet their viewership numbers are actually pretty solid every time they're on. Sure, Real Madrid and Red Star Mexico City pull more eyes, but they aren't even hitting 30 percent—those numbers are just crazy.
