Thomas Roberts9 said:I was wondering if any of you take pain relievers preemptively? I just took one myself. I can already tell my period is about to arrive and will likely start tonight. I’ve tried many times to simply "sleep through" the onset and wait until morning to take something, but those cramps usually wake me up around 5:00 AM, and I rarely manage to get back to sleep by 7:00. I really don't want to go through that again tonight... honestly, just thinking about it is already making my stomach ache. 🙂 🙂
I take them preventatively too. As soon as I feel it coming, I grab something for the pain immediately. If I wait, I end up needing a much higher dose just to get the pain under control.
Why don't you just go see a doctor and find out why swallowing is giving you such a hard time?
It could be psychological, sure, but there’s also a chance it's purely physical. Take me, for example—I deal with this too, and for me, it's strictly physiological because of a condition that keeps my mouth from producing enough saliva.
Could be low blood pressure, blood sugar crashing, overexerting yourself, or just plain dehydration... especially when you're hitting it hard at the gym.
Joshua Jones13 said:What you're saying now is a completely different thing. It’s one thing to say—this is the rule and it applies to everyone—but it's another to say, "I'm not sure if this email actually belongs to chocolatecookie." Because if the point is the rule itself, then it applies whether we know for certain someone leaked their info or not, I guess.
Look, Joshua Jones13, this whole email situation is a total gray area to me. I'm genuinely curious about which specific cases are allowed and if people should even be posting emails on the forum at all.
I saw some emails left in a PDF earlier where people were just dropping their contact info, so this topic is definitely worth digging into. I don't want someone coming after me tomorrow because I left someone else's email in a post and they ended up getting harassed because of it.
Joshua Jones13 I don't own forum.org, so I’m not the one calling the shots on the rules here. If things go south and someone decides to file a lawsuit over some bullshit, that’s on the owner, not me.
Look, I can agree or disagree with a rule all I want, but at the end of the day, it's my job to enforce it.
Joshua Jones13 said:Well, I'm pretty sure she leaked her own data and not anyone else's. I guess if enough people step up and confirm it really is her email, would that change anything? Or maybe the doubt just sticks around regardless.
Joshua Jones13, how should I know? 🤷

You don't have to be rude, I asked nicely.
Oh, please. I know what a polite question sounds like. Addressing people on this forum with such condescension and implications about shitting around doesn't exactly fit my definition of "nice." You should probably stop talking to people like that. And since there are plenty of people here who know chocolatecookie far better than you do—myself included—who could actually give you a real answer, why don't you go ask the moderators or send a private message? Ask them if cookie could have leaked someone else's data on the forum and if that’s really our main concern right now.
I have nothing against the laws regarding not posting emails on the forum. Absolutely nothing. But how does it work where certain laws apply to some of you, while everyone else gets to act like they're above them? 🙂
First off, I haven't been talking down to anyone in this thread, especially not to you.
Second, where exactly did I say you guys were talking trash? I said you trashed the thread, and I was being literal—I meant all that bickering on the previous pages where everyone is just taking shots at each other.
Do you honestly think all this fighting is going to achieve anything besides getting the thread locked? 🤷
ruggedjackal46 said:But look, we're discussing a specific case here, and moderation is always about dealing with the specifics. Sometimes someone will post something like, "Hey, send dick pics to my email at anderlon@forum.hr," and then we'll know they're probably lying. Other times, you get a situation where the email address is likely legitimate. The point is, there’s no sense in deleting EVERYTHING; you have to leave the cases where it's highly probable the person isn't lying about their contact info.
Then you run into the issue where some people are allowed to post their emails while others aren't (specifically those using their full names), and I can already hear someone else coming out of the woodwork to complain that the rules should apply equally to everyone.
What about when someone puts a company name in their email? That isn't a first and last name, so it could slip through just like this cookin' email—it wouldn't count as personal data. What are we supposed to do in those situations?
ruggedjackal46 said:You can't know for certain, because let's face it, you can't know almost anything in this life with 100% certainty.
What you can do is weigh the situation and see if you can reach a level of confidence that's "good enough." In this specific case, we have a user who's currently under a ban, yet she's providing her email address so other users can reach out via private message. To me, it sounds perfectly plausible. I don't see any logical reason why she would go through the trouble of posting someone else's contact details. I’d say there’s a 99% chance she's telling the truth about it being her own info. I’m leaving that remaining 1% just in case she completely lost her mind overnight.
If you want my take on moderation, doing it without using your brain is like going skydiving and deciding not to pull the ripcord.
I was responding to Bradley Sanders4's post; I wasn't targeting any specific individual.
Bradley Sanders4 asked why she couldn't post her private info on the forum, so I simply asked how we were supposed to verify those were actually her details and not someone else's.
briskmoose90 said:Sure. You clearly decided to just ride the wave of change. Instead of sticking to the actual threads we opened on the PŽK regarding the forum issues, you pivoted to talking about politics, racial tensions, and self-promotion. You started pushing your own agenda with topics that have nothing to do with the discussion at hand. And you didn't even get banned for it. If you actually had the guts to post under your real name, I might feel something. Instead, seeing how much you back down just makes me lose respect for you. You claim to stand up for the underdog, yet you’re actually siding with the guy who holds all the power here. You're backing someone who can decide our fates on this forum without any accountability whatsoever. Yeah, that’s definitely the weaker side—the one that can ban you from this site forever. After dozens of pages of arguing here, nobody has actually achieved anything. All this did was prove that someone tried to purge the forum using 500-point bans, but the attempt failed because those bans were completely illegitimate. If a nation rises up against one or two dictators, that doesn't make the tyrant weaker just because he's outnumbered ten thousand to one. Numbers don't change the math of power. Weakness is defined by a lack of power.
Sure, we're the ones who screwed this up.
How did I not see that sooner? Kuki is just some brainless sixteen-year-old who clearly has nothing better to do than leak people's emails all over this forum. She’s just a total psycho looking for drama and blood.
God, what a massive wave of hypocrisy.
No, I'm the one who screwed her over.
Oh, what a brilliant realization! Because obviously, Kuki is just some brainless sixteen-year-old with nothing better to do than drop other people's emails on a forum because she's a total psycho looking for blood and chaos.
My God, what a massive wave of hypocrisy.
There's no need to be rude. I asked a simple question.
Kate James38, trust me, we all get why you're so frustrated. I am too. Honestly, I think we’re all collectively fed up with this healthcare system of ours. It feels like if you have the cash or the right connections, you actually get decent treatment, while the rest of us just take whatever we're handed. Believe me, I've been bouncing from doctor to doctor for four years now. I've seen it all, and frankly, it makes me sick just thinking about the fact that I'll be trekking through hospitals and checkups for the rest of my life (I've got a few chronic issues myself).
If someone doesn't want to share their diagnosis on a forum, that’s their business, and it's pretty low of you to come in here attacking people just because of that.
fadedtrucker5 Asks: Six left to go. I did one round with radiation, now I’m on double doses, then a month off, followed by five rounds of triple doses with month-long breaks in between. Honestly, I don't know what to expect, and maybe it's better that way. Before my first chemo, I read up on the side effects of Temozol and I was absolutely terrified. But none of that actually happened. My hair fell out right where I had the radiation—which, in my case, means part of my head—but all my other hair stayed put since Temozol doesn't cause hair loss. 😉 Look, at the end of the day, it’s all about the people. Honestly, the way you have to navigate the healthcare system just to get Temozol is more exhausting than the actual chemotherapy itself. It’s infuriating. 🙂
I hear you loud and clear. 😢
I really hope you don't end up dealing with any nasty side effects or nausea right now. 😘
fadedtrucker5 said:I’m doing great! 😘 Working, hanging out... just living life like anyone else. 😍 Had a headache for a couple of days which made me panic a little, even though it didn't feel like my old headaches. But people around me keep insisting their heads hurt too, even though they don't have my diagnosis... I obviously just ignore them. 🙂 I can't wait to get my next MRI just to be sure everything is fine. I think this will be my life from now on—always being on edge and questioning myself—wondering if my head hurts because of the weather or if I actually need to worry...
All in all, I'm good. I've got some jitters about the new chemo because I know how those first few days go (me and my friend playing the lead roles in a bathroom comedy), but it's just part of the process. 😍
Glad to see you're still staying so positive. 🙂 How many rounds of this new chemo do you have left?
Paul Johnson said:My primary care clinic takes appointments, and I am beyond grateful for it! 🙏 I used to see a doctor who didn't take appointments, and I'd spend hours waiting every single time. I don't get why everyone isn't booking ahead.😕
😘
Because the old ladies would just complain, so they figure this way is easier. 🤷
slywolf45 said:We’ve had the option to order online here in the States for years now. Yet, there’s still a massive crowd of people who simply refuse to use it. I suppose some folks just prefer sitting around in the waiting room, passing the time by gossiping with the elderly ladies there... though I can't quite wrap my head around any other reason for it.
That was me once. Sitting in a waiting room, listening to two old women, and one of them is going on about how nobody ever makes appointments because you have to wait for your turn anyway. Well, fine. If they don't want to schedule, let them sit there for two hours instead of twenty minutes.
For me, this system is great. I used to waste my entire morning just trying to handle a single prescription.
I’d have them sorted out in no time. They might complain a little at first, but they'd settle down eventually.
It was the same exact nonsense when my doctor implemented an appointment system. Everything that wasn't an emergency had to be scheduled. Sure, the old ladies in the waiting room made a huge scene, but they all ended up booking slots—the ones who didn't? Well, they got stuck sitting there for an hour or two instead of just 15 or 20 minutes. Personally, I think the whole scheduling thing is great. If it isn't urgent, I book ahead knowing I won't waste four hours in a waiting room. But if it is an emergency, I know I can just show up and get seen without any hassle.
