There's also a whistleblower hotline for reporting stuff like that. Here's the link: Whistleblower Hotline
Timothy Wells5, this is the second time you've mocked and belittled someone who was just trying to answer your question and help you out. And what’s worse, it's the second time you've dismissed someone who actually knows what they're talking about.

It's really nasty behavior. Please stop doing this, or you're just going to end up collecting nothing but hate for all the provocation and trolling.

They won't. 😁 Honestly, any constructive criticism or advice is more than welcome here. 😉>
Dealing with gangrene in Health ·
Maybe try actually reading the rules once in a while.

The Health subforum is strictly tied to conventional medicine and science-based practices. You aren't allowed to push alternative views or treatment methods here. Under these rules, anything considered "alternative" means any substance or method that lacks official medical or scientific backing—basically, stuff that mainstream doctors consider useless or even dangerous. If you want to talk about that, go to the Alternative Medicine subforum. Also, promoting any drugs that haven't been cleared by the FDA is strictly prohibited.

As far as I can tell, colloidal and ionic silver don't count as conventional treatments. In fact, there are actual warnings from medical professionals stating they're harmful and should be avoided. If someone wants to risk it, fine, but we don't allow the promotion or consumption of that stuff on this forum.
Zoe, post those reference values. 🙂 It’ll be way easier for people to help you out if you show what’s actually off, especially since every lab uses different scales.
🤷 I remember one year back in the States, there was this massive swarm of bugs flying around and biting everything in sight. You couldn't even step outside after dark without getting absolutely eaten alive.

There's all sorts of creepy-crawlies out there, who knows what you'll run into.
Are you even sure you were bitten by something? For all we know, it could just be hives.

About a year ago, my SS-A and SS-B levels were borderline, and my ANA was fine, but my salivary glands were enlarged and full of cysts. My hands hurt like hell. I was on 4mg of Medrol, but they bumped me up to 20mg while I wait for more testing.

Uh, you've got the exact same combo as me 😢. I'm going to message you over on this thread instead: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) - Vol. 2. A lot of us dealing with SLE struggle with these specific issues too, so if you need anything, just ask. 🙂
stormyviper20 said:ANA positive at a titer of 1:40960

From what I can gather, this is incredibly high. What could be going on? I've been scheduled for more tests at the hospital in 10 days—specifically for immunology.

What prompted you to get the ANA tested in the first place? Any symptoms?

That is quite high.

northernpilot2 said:Nah, you didn't imagine it, I saw that too, but seriously, why the hell was that notice pulled down so fast? It honestly makes this whole thing look pretty unprofessional.🤷

And yet, it’s still plastered all over the forum as a global announcement.🙂

Benjamin King2, look, not all PDFs are created equal, and you can't just apply one-size-fits-all logic to everything. What’s being suggested here wouldn't fly if we were talking about healthcare.

mistyhound94 said:The Health section, just like most other PDFs, is packed with old threads. It’s actually pretty easy to find an existing topic that touches on what someone is going through and just drop a question there. The headache is that a lot of moderators crack down on bumping old threads, so we'd need a way to handle that if this changes. ☕

You can't just cram every single issue into an old thread, especially not in a section like Health. 🙂

I'm not a fan of this idea. If they go through with it, I really hope the Health section gets an exemption. Plus, plenty of people create alt accounts specifically for health stuff because they don't want the rest of the forum crowd knowing their business (especially the guys 😁).

Honestly, I’m not a fan of this idea at all. It feels like way too many people are signing up on Healthline just to drop a couple of quick questions and then immediately demand answers via DM or by starting their own thread.
Brain tumor diagnosis/discussion in Health ·
There’s already a thread about the brain tumor issue where you've already posted, so I'm locking this one down.

which of these tests are immunological and which are coagulation-related?
I think LAC falls under coagulation

-anti DNA antibodies (Anti SS DNA, DS DNA) - anti SS-A antibodies (Anti RO)
- anti SS-B antibodies (Anti LA)
- anti Sm antibodies

-anticardiolipin antibodies
-antiphospholipid antibodies - antiphosphatidylcholine
- antifosphatidylglycerol
- antiphosphatidylinositol
-lupus anticoagulant - LAC
-Factor V Leiden
-Factor II - prothrombin G2021A
-PAI I

The bolded ones are the immunological tests. Everything below that looks like coagulation to me, though I have zero clue what those last three actually are.

I had all of them tested except for those final three, and an immunologist wrote the referral for everything else.
Can I crush PPI tablets (like Microsoft)? in Health ·
🤣 How can you not swallow that? They aren't even that big.

I know you can grab stuff like Tums at a CVS or whatever, but that’s not even in the same class as Microsoft. If you actually need to knock down the acid, those won't cut it. You should probably check if anything else in the same drug family as Microsoft comes in different formats.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
I don't know. I just know that for some people, things settle down after pregnancy, while for others, the pain actually ramps up. Maybe right now your hormone levels are hitting some kind of perfect equilibrium.🤷
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
Have you actually checked your hormone levels lately? It might be that.

Women can be such a pain, honestly. If we're hurting, everything is terrible; if we aren't hurting, then something must be wrong. 🤣 It’s the same with me. When my breasts don't ache during PMS, I don't just enjoy being able to sleep on my stomach without discomfort—I immediately start worrying that something is broken.
