Reddit is down again in Feedback & Suggestions ·
^ It’s useless.

There’s clearly some sort of timeout window—I haven't clocked exactly how long it is—where you have to hit "post" if you want your message to actually go through on the first try.
To save my sanity, I’ve started copying everything before I even think about clicking submit. If it fails and kicks me straight to the login screen, I just hit back, hit F5, wait for the page to reload, paste my text back in, and then finally try to post it.
I’m doing the exact same dance with the Quick Reply box, too.
Even with all that extra work, it still failed on me once already.
Is it irritating? You bet it is.

PS.
And honestly, I’m starting to think this is a Windows thing. 🤔 I can't be sure, but this issue has been hanging around forever and nobody seems to be fixing it.
Donna Reyes11 said:I took my mom to the hospital on Wednesday, and after she got some IV fluids and meds, she perked up just a little bit—but only for a fleeting moment. She had breakfast at the hospital on Thursday, and then she just fell asleep... forever. Her heart finally stopped beating on Saturday morning.
Honestly, I’m surprisingly calm. I actually feel grateful for the COVID-19 lockdowns because they gave us those two months where we were almost constantly together. In any other normal situation, you could never afford to spend that much time with her—just grabbing coffee every single day, having breakfast, watching "Married at First Sight" together during lunch or dinner... most of our time was spent just being home. Since the kid wasn't going to school, he stayed home with Grandma doing his homework or playing chess.
I did my crying a week ago. I said my goodbyes, told her everything I ever wanted to say, heard everything I needed to hear, and ultimately, I gave her permission to let go and find peace.
In the end, there wasn't even any pain; her body just couldn't hold on anymore.
Safe travels, Mom. Reach out from the other side every once in a while so I know you're watching over us!

Does anyone actually know anything about this?
When I was reading through the latest posts this morning, I was honestly on the verge of tears, especially this part:

Eric Newman75 said:(...) It doesn't matter if you've endured unimaginable horror and suffering. What matters is that despite all of that, you can still feel love, compassion, closeness, and happiness... A genuine respect for another being and for life itself.

It’s hard to explain that to someone who hasn't been pushed to the absolute brink. To someone who hasn't stood right at the edge of the abyss. Someone who hasn't let that void stare deep into their soul. But there is something incredibly cathartic about it. It’s liberating.

Absolutely.

There are days when it’s just hard—really, really hard... and yet...

I wish she were here, even if just for a moment, to see this new version of me—the one who rose from the ashes, covered in scars, but stronger than I have ever been.
It's her birthday soon, and I know I'll cry. The grief is massive, but I am happy.
Happy that I had her as a parent, from our very first day together until my very last.
Happy that the abyss stared deep into me while I was balancing on its edge on my tiptoes.

Angela Wright said:(...) just tell them you're going to be okay. That’s the most important thing—it means everything to them. (... )

Oh man... I had no idea. 😳

Looking back now, I realize I should have said it. I did tell my mom, and I remember seeing this subtle shift in her expression (she was pretty non-responsive at the time). Not long after that, she passed away. 😢

Why does it matter so much to them?

Give me a break!

Look, I haven't personally had a single issue with you on any other thread, and I haven't even gotten into a direct argument with you here, but you have obviously lost your way. I don't know if it's due to personal complexes, some weird group mentality, or who knows what else, but you've lost the plot.
If I could offer you one piece of advice, it would be this: just calm down. Unless, of course, you’ve been appointed as our official spokesperson or something.

🙂 🙂 🙂

If anyone has lost their way, it's definitely you. 😉

Honestly, we don't need a lawyer here, especially not Sandra Kern38. What really baffles me is how much time people spend hanging out on this site without actually making any effort to understand how it works. Every time someone tries to step in—with good intentions, mind you—to explain things, they end up being labeled as condescending or whatever. Then, of course, everyone immediately pivots to petty bickering. 🙄Where did the ability to have an actual conversation go?

ps.
A post popped up right while I was typing.
Anything said without linking to specific examples is just empty talk, and usually, those complaints just get ignored.
From what you've written, it's pretty obvious you aren't quite familiar with how the forum or the moderation team (including the higher-ups) actually functions. But hey, look, you learn a lot of things once you're on the other side or by following certain threads here. But to get there, you actually have to talk—constructively. If you even know how to do that, or actually want to.

restlessheron8 said:Here are a few girls who are obsessed with Sinan from the Alps series—Faziletkinja basically drove them crazy because she convinced them they were actually clones.

Wrong. She didn't "conclude" anything, and she certainly didn't figure it out on her own.

🤣 🤦 🤣

So what are you even doing on this forum then? :retoricki: You’re clearly lost. A blog would suit you much better than a discussion board.

Best,

You’re interpreting the reactions your own work provokes as some kind of desperate craving for an argument. 😢 😢
I have absolutely zero interest in doing that, or anything even remotely similar. I’m here to talk—or rather, I'm trying to, though that usually requires two people actually participating.

Regarding those "technicalities" you brought up: a warning can be issued for a single post, and if I recall correctly, that’s generally how the rules work here. Post reports are handled by the moderators with the colored usernames assigned to that specific section of the forum; L3gu isn't one of them, so there's no way they saw it. As far as I can tell, your appeal doesn't really make sense; the core issue seems to be right there in the title. 🤔 If you’re going to claim this is some kind of vendetta, you’d need to provide substantial evidence to back that up (especially since, in my opinion, Sandra Kern38 is a pretty lenient moderator). There is nothing unusual about you receiving what you call a collective warning, nor is there anything strange about it happening twenty minutes after the post was published—the mod happened to be looking at the thread at that moment, and you failed to take the hint despite other users repeatedly asking you to get on track. Honestly, even if you had received the warning 24 hours later in a specific instance, it wouldn't change the reality of the situation.

I’m not saying you should be kicked from the thread, as you suggested, but it would be a huge help if you would (finally) start listening to the other people discussing the topic and actually get a feel for the tone of the conversation.

Anyway, that’s my two cents. No hard feelings, please.

You’re wrong there. Honestly, over the years, I’ve disagreed with Sandra Kern38 more times than I can count, and I have no intention of starting now. But even when we're on completely different pages, she’s never once been negative toward me, nor has she ever resorted to that petty, vengeful attitude you see so often online. If you're looking for people you can actually sit down with and have a real, civilized debate—without all the usual drama—she and Ball are the ones to talk to.
Look, you really went overboard this time. Seriously, you crossed the line. I don't even know what to say anymore—you just completely overdid it. She killed him. Look, let’s get one thing straight about this thread. I’m telling you right now, I am not one of those soft, spineless forum dwellers you keep talking about. I’m not one of those people who sits around drooling over every little detail or leaving comments like they’re watching some high-brow production on PBS instead of just hanging out on a TV forum. I don't belong to that crowd, and frankly, I have no interest in being part of it. Soft little souls.Just pull your punches for once. This is where we actually get to see what a real culture of dialogue looks like—how people actually conduct themselves when they're engaging with one another. It isn’t just about dumping your opinions out there; it's about how you approach the people on the other side of the conversation. What do you guys think? I'm looking for some honest opinions here. And honestly, your take is even more flawed because you’re trying to build an entire argument based on just a handful of episodes you’ve actually seen. You're basically trying to construct a whole foundation out of scraps, which is why your logic feels so half-baked. You’re basically running the bank at this point. And honestly, it’s not just what you’re saying—it’s the way you go about delivering it. A lot of people around here feel like your whole approach is just way too over the top.

Look, you’re calling on a supermod who’s probably out enjoying some time off anyway. Even if he isn't, he shouldn't be expected to be glued to this forum twenty-four seven. And even if he is around, he needs actual time to get up to speed—he can't just jump in blindly; he has to read through the thread first. Being a supermod for the TV section isn't his only responsibility, you know. This isn't about how he feels toward some random people typing away in the comments.

By the way, if you're looking to file an appeal regarding those cards, don't bother starting a whole new thread. There’s already a massive master thread pinned right at the top of the PZK board specifically for card disputes. Just jump in there instead of cluttering things up with a new post. 😉

ps.
One more thing—I honestly used to love reading your posts. There was always something substantial there, some real substance that kept me coming back. But honestly? If you keep this up, I’m going to end up hitting that ignore button. I haven't even gotten to that point yet, but the way things are going, it’s inevitable. Then again, since you're one of only three people actually keeping this forum alive, and I’ve already blocked one of them, bothering to use the ignore tool feels pretty pointless at this stage.

mellowotter17, look, you’ve seriously crossed the line on this thread. More than a few people here have asked you to just dial it back a notch, but instead, you just keep doubling down. You can't keep hiding behind the excuse that you're just sharing your opinion. I mean, come on—you’re watching less than half an episode of a show (and let’s be real, you can't really watch these types of series that way; sure, you could, but then you aren't exactly providing high-quality discussion; sometimes a single quick cut happens and you miss the entire context for a character's motivation, for those who aren't familiar with how these dramas are paced), and based on that tiny snippet, you form some big opinion and keep insisting that the show isn't suspenseful enough. Fine, maybe it isn't for you, whatever, but given the circumstances, try being a little more self-aware toward the rest of us who actually sit through the full two hours without missing a beat and actually enjoy it.
To be perfectly blunt, you've completely killed my motivation to write or ask anything, not because I missed something while watching, but simply because I've lost the desire to read your stuff.
Rachel Williams said:It’s been four months since we lost my mom, and I’m just three weeks away from giving birth myself. Then, to add insult to injury, we found out yesterday that my aunt—my mom's sister—has been diagnosed with lymphoma. It feels like one of those times where life just decides to pile everything on you all at once without even asking if you can handle it. 🕺

Look, you can't just generalize about this. The type of lymphoma matters immensely. We aren't all talking about the same thing here—there are certain types where you can actually build a life and live with it for a long time, while others are a completely different beast altogether. You have to know exactly what you're dealing with if you want to make sense of any of this. Easier. Suppose you’re dealing with someone who has, say, an autoimmune disease. 🤔
Raymond Smith53 said:I don't think I followed you perfectly. In reality, nobody just lets someone die without a fight. When dealing with "younger" patients—or cases where the tumor is actually curable—doctors go all out with aggressive treatments because they assume the body can handle the punch. But with older patients, or when we're looking at terminal metastases, the goal shifts toward extending life and maintaining quality. The scans themselves aren't everything; they’re really just tools to monitor how the disease is behaving. Besides, cancer isn't some external invader; it's more like an internal glitch. Tumor cells are forming in our bodies every single day; it's just a matter of whether your immune system is strong enough to wipe them out before they get a foothold.

To be honest, those words actually brought me a bit of peace. 🤔 For the longest time, I couldn't shake this gut feeling that the doctors had basically written my mom off from the very beginning—like they hadn't even bothered to try, or...
Maybe in time, it'll all make sense. Just one day at a time.

From the first time I heard about the trouble to the final outcome—it's only been 57 days. :neverica:

I think I’m officially ready for some psychoanalysis.
Starting with venting on an internet forum, anyway. Hopefully, that’ll be enough to keep me sane.
It’s the third morning without my mom by my side.
I’m currently under anesthesia, just waiting for the pain to hit me. I can feel it coming...

redhawk76, let’s get one thing straight on this specific topic: Earthse is just another forum user like everyone else here. Being a moderator in one obscure corner of the site doesn't give you special status everywhere else.
Based on this appeal, it seems like the only way you'd actually be satisfied is if the post were completely deleted—you aren't leaving any other room for negotiation. 🤔
And honestly, constantly hitting that report button (those reports only go to the moderators assigned to that specific sub-forum) isn't going to get you anywhere. In fact, I'd say it might just backfire and be flagged as a violation of the rules, which could land you in trouble yourself. You’ve already voiced your complaint here, a moderator from the main network responded, then a super-mod from the network stepped in; now, just wait for an administrator to weigh in, and that should be the end of it.
Look, I shouldn't even be poking my nose into an appeal that doesn't technically involve me, but I'm trying to be constructive here. Having been a moderator myself, I know exactly how this forum operates, and I also know that the current staff are already spread incredibly thin.
Post edit error: "More than one character required in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It looks like this happens right when the edit window is timing out. 🤔
I was right in the middle of editing my post, made my changes, clicked save, and—boom—suddenly I’m stuck in a quote block with some error message telling me I need to enter at least one character. This has happened to me at least three times over the last few months, and honestly, it's getting pretty aggravating.
