To me, seeing all those flannel shirts in *My So-Called Life* was such a vibe—it really captured that whole era. I mean, back in '95, grunge was absolutely killing it!

Honestly, whenever it comes to musicians, I’ve always absolutely hated that condescending, "this is beneath me" attitude people take right out of the gate. Maybe it’s because I feel like loving music is all about actually identifying with it—not just vibing with some watered-down, mediocre stuff. To me, if you actually take your life seriously, trying to claim an affinity for something that's being labeled as "inferior" is just... I don't know, kind of pointless? It feels totally disconnected from who you are.

It’s been such a wild, traumatic stretch—my record player actually caught some kind of "illness" and then, out of nowhere, just healed itself. Like, magic!
And man, things have been moving so fast lately—I've picked up some awesome new finds and finally let go of some old stuff, like Teach Me Peaches 🙂.

Album of the week: Unsubstantial Things—honestly, the stylization is just glorious and notorious.

Oh, they actually did a tribute concert at the Knitting Factory too—I think it was in the main hall!

I swear, I memorized the whole "Obstacle 2" track by Interpol after just two or three listens. Talk about a total earworm!!

Interpol is seriously incredible—every single time I hit play again, it feels like I’m hearing a brand new record for the first time.🙂

So, after about six weeks, I finally ditched Placebo and swapped them out for the old-school Interpol. Honestly, while I was totally vibing with the whole Placebo (placebunt) era, /every me'n'every you, without you, .../ , Interpol is looking seriously promising. It just perfectly captures that vibe—you know, like those crisp, chilly autumn days we get here in the States.

I mean, Rufus Sewell is a total snack—he’s just not quite "snack" level yet, if you know what I mean

(I know that song called Lyric (with two degrees of freedom) and honestly, it’s just kind of meh to me. But I totally dig the music video because of him and that cute girl)

So, I caught this version where the dubbing was honestly pretty terrible—I think it was the French version? Anyway, I’m really crossing my fingers that Eight Women turns out to be a much better movie!
