At this rate, a guy on a bicycle would probably set the fastest lap. Honestly, looking at how things have kicked off, I don't think anyone's even going to make it to the finish line intact; it feels like we’re heading toward a race where the winning SC driver finishes with nothing left but a bare chassis on the track.☕
Come on, Massa, let's go! I'm dying to see if Ferrari actually fixed their issues in the rain or if this whole "improvement" thing is just more corporate nonsense being fed to us.
stormybadger8 said:☕It’s an interesting point, really, but if you take a step back and look at last season, I'm not saying I'm out here defending Massu or anything—honestly, his driving style isn't even my cup of tea lately—but if we're being brutally honest about how things played out last year, without Massa in that seat, Kimi wouldn't have walked away with the championship.👎 ☕
I hear what you're saying, but honestly, that feels like a moot point to me. Just look at Hamilton McLaren; nobody is stepping up to bail him out. 😁
Samuel Cruz61 said:The Ferrari crowd is claiming they’ve finally ironed out those wet weather issues so we shouldn't see any more drama there, plus they're hinting that Kimi Räikkönen is going to be playing second fiddle to help Felipe Massa chase down that championship...
🤮Calling that "helping" is absolute garbage, man—if you're actually a driver worth a damn, you win the title on your own merits instead of having someone shove you toward the finish line.
I'm holding out hope for a Massa victory, but only if he does it completely on his own without anyone playing babysitter.
Just shoot a DM to the admin about what I asked for. I never actually got a response, but hey, give it a shot—you might find out that nobody even bothers to type a reply anymore.
It’s all about chasing that higher level of innovation and pure, unadulterated excitement I mean, look, if you’re stuck in some niche where every single race feels identical and they’re all running the exact same engines, why on earth would you even bother watching? If there isn't anything interesting happening, just turn it off, right?
Sam Roberts said:Yeah, because obviously a DNA test is going to determine if he's some Nazi or an Englishman
Bravo, really top-tier logic there.
lol
Sam Roberts, don't you dare mess with stormybadger8 unless you want me breathing down your neck.
Look, a DNA test could easily reveal his actual father isn't even English—get your head out of the sand. And to be fair, he didn't explicitly claim they'd find out if someone was a Nazi through a lab analysis, so just hush up already. ☕
stormybadger8 said:I honestly don’t get it, and you can kill me for saying it, but is there actually a rule that says you have to let him pass if you cut a corner? Like, did Lewis Hamilton fail to yield to Kimi Räikkönen? Does the rulebook specifically state he has to give him space at one meter, a hundred meters, or a full kilometer?☕
this penalty is just plain moronic☕
He’s supposed to let him through at whatever distance they were at before the launch, which is exactly what Hamilton failed to do.
I don't even know what to tell you guys; look, I’m a huge Ferrari fan, but maybe a two-place penalty would have been more reasonable.
My only real regret is why Kimi didn't just charge right into him and knock him off the track—honestly, seeing how slippery and passive he was... did you see that part of the race during the press conference where he was just sitting there laughing?🤷
Roger Wright94 said:I'm watching the German broadcast on FOX, and things are soaking wet at the US Grand Prix in Austin. The crew is out there clutching umbrellas, and everyone—drivers included—is bundled up in heavy rain gear and ponchos.
There was an interview with Sebastian Vettel, Niki Lauda, and the FOX reporters. Honestly, the kid is incredible; he reminds me so much of Michael Schumacher back when he was that age. I would have loved to get some footage of that peasant, but I just wasn't geared up for it.
Kai Ebel is rocking this pink shirt paired with a green and burgundy checkered blazer. 🙏
By the way, why on earth won't our local networks let us watch this German Formula 1 coverage? It would absolutely crush the ratings over at PBS. I’d personally write a clause into their licensing contracts to make it happen.
They feed us all this garbage programming, yet they hoard the premium Formula 1 content just for their own inner circle. It's disgusting!
My take is that two different networks usually can't broadcast the exact same thing. For instance, over here, maybe Hayat carries Formula 1 and nobody else, or if it's soccer, one network grabs the English league while another takes the German one—it probably works that way through some sort of exclusive deal.🤷
