Even so, the club turns a profit—tickets aren't cheap for nothing 😁. But I can't find any photos of Kate Bush, Tori Amos, and PJ Harvey together... whereas these three have plenty. That would be perfect for designing the posters 😬 😬 😬

Björk isn't really my thing... though she still seems like a better bet than Fiona, because if I pick Fiona, nobody's going to show up 😬. I mean, I'm still greedy enough to want to mix pleasure with profit, even if I'm just running this studio for the love of music 😁. Compromise is a beautiful thing 😉. Now I just hope Dust is more obsessed with Björk than the two of us are... and that they have her whole discography, since I don't own any of it 😁

I'm thinking about PJ, Tori, and Björk because I want to see exactly how many people would show up for something like that... we can get into the experimental stuff and weirder themes later on. Like I said, there will be plenty of sessions to come 😉

Where are some good spots to go out in Cleveland? 😁

I mean, look... at the end of the day... no matter how much people trash all the local clubs... having something is better than nothing. Honestly, I can't say I haven't had a blast at any of the places mentioned, actually 😉 it's just that... people always chase this perfect ideal and want everything to be more 😬

So, what we really want is a club that stays open all night (or even all day and night 😁), isn't filthy (meaning knee-deep in mud), has cheap drinks (and actual decent beer), plays music everyone likes (which will NEVER happen because our tastes aren't identical 😉), won't turn away anyone under 18 (unless they're incredibly hot and willing to charm their way in 😬), etc., etc. 😉

You aren't risking anything... I am such a wonderful creature. Just ask Dust, who saw me once in her life—that was enough to make sure she never makes a mistake like that again 😬 (except when she happened to end up in my listening room, but that’s a whole different story)

An Pierle? Never heard of them. Going to go give them a listen right now... and since you guys keep calling this "our" listening room... if anyone actually wants to work on this space with me, let me know. You have my blessing... or rather, you're accepted... just as a side project or something 😉

I guess I have myself to blame for my own trauma... I was skating around the yard (and even inside the house) wearing a block of cheese on my head and a Mickey Mouse tie (though, granted, the tie wasn't on my head). 😛...and she was running people over too... God help us. But anyway, moving on from that... I was going to list all the items from Route 66, but then I thought, "Actually, forget it." I'll just let people ask if they want to know about those, too. Same goes for the Anchor, the butterflies, and everything else. 😉

I wish there was just one club that stayed open all night and hosted a weekly event—maybe on a Friday—where you could actually count on having a great time. It would never get old if they switched up the DJ every single week. 😁 ..smuc

I know exactly what you meant 😉 but I just wrote it that way for comparison... usually there are more people inside Spunko than out on the street, unless they're playing outdoors 😁 and even then, you'll see more folks hanging by Melina's than all together in front of Spunko 😬

It’s all over downtown... honestly, you couldn't fit everyone into the whole Spunko building if they tried, given how many people are crammed in front of those cafes.🙄

Yeah, there are definitely some great shows in the US 😉

As for Boogaloo... I have some bad memories from that club, so I won't go there right now. Honestly, it wasn't really about the venue, just me and my tendency toward public embarrassment 😉

I honestly don't know what to tell you... there's Kset, which has a solid lineup but closes way too early, then there's The Roxy, which is exactly how I described it before. You’ve got Apple Hill up on the hill starting at 3 PM, or maybe that dive bar downtown where you get two beers for the price of one on Fridays—or maybe it's not just Fridays, I can't recall since the last time I was there was a Friday 😬. Then there's that metal bar where, for some reason I can't wrap my head around, a massive crowd gathers every single weekend—or more often on weekdays—just standing around, sitting on the sidewalk, and drinking, and drinking... maybe I'm just getting old, so it's lost on me. I have a few other spots I can mention later if you're interested 😁, but those are basically the "in" places 😉

But in the end, it always comes down to this: if you're with good people, the venue doesn't really matter 😉. At least, that's true for me. As long as you aren't freezing or getting soaked, everything is fine
