Everything is running smoothly on my end, even though I set User Account Control to disabled. Apparently, there's a known glitch where turning off UAC breaks certain desktop gadgets unless you manually tweak a registry setting. But honestly, if you aren't using them, it's really not an issue...
@Anthony Smith3/">@@Anthony Smith3, look, let me be clear—the movie isn't bad, nor is it a total disaster. I have to admit, after reading all those reviews online about it being a "brilliant American cowboy thriller," I was expecting just a little bit more. What I actually got was a pretty average flick full of clichés where you basically figure out the ending within the first thirty minutes. It feels unnecessarily "hyped up," so you go in expecting to be totally blown away by the end. Maybe I would've enjoyed it more if I had just stumbled upon it by accident. Taking your WTF perspective into account, I didn't see anything particularly spectacular or unique here. My final takeaway? It's just a simple, mediocre movie that's fine for a one-time watch.
I just finished watching it... Generally speaking, the movie isn't bad, but I wasn't particularly blown away or left feeling anything intense (unlike some of those folks over at the yellow Title crowd, for instance). To be honest, the film is pretty much riddled with illogical, boneheaded decisions from the main characters—at one point, I almost jumped up and started yelling at my TV! Not to be entirely negative, though, there are definitely some awesome moments in there, and the acting isn't half bad either. All in all, it could have been executed much better. As it stands, it’s just a "good one-time watch" and nothing more.
I remember how horrorhr used to be a constant "source" for copying 🙂 Powerbeating's content, whether it was full posts or just bits of movie reviews. I actually called him out on it once, but he just kept on plastering random posts from elsewhere all over this place.
Alright, maybe cosmiclynx57 got a little carried away with his last post and went a bit overboard. But man, you’re really reaching here—you even went as far as copying some "champion post" to prove your point. I honestly can't believe you think that if a movie title says 3D and you download it, just putting on some glasses actually makes it feel like you're watching a 3D film.
Personally, I didn't think the movie was all that bad. I’ve always been drawn to that kind of small-town eccentricity and those stubborn, fixed ideas—plus, I actually had a few good laughs. To be honest, I wasn't expecting some groundbreaking masterpiece or something totally unique, so for me, it hit the spot. As for Diklic, I thought his acting was great, though maybe that famous dialect wasn't quite a perfect ten. The performances from Gene Hackman and Diklic were solid, really high-level stuff. And Mira Banjac? She was wonderful as usual, a true pro.

The problem is I can't seem to get rid of this "uuu" network icon. I can't move it down or change any of its settings. I have no clue where it came from.
When I try to delete or edit it, I don't get any error messages or anything. It just looks like the changes were applied, but everything stays exactly the same.
A couple of times when I tried deleting it, it actually disappeared for a second, but then it just popped right back up.
So, that's the situation. If anyone has an idea...
Wait, when you hover over that "uuu" network with your mouse, does it jump right back under "Home"? Also, just a thought—check if "Connect automatically" is turned on there.

1. Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, then use your index finger to scroll the mouse wheel toward you 🙂 2. Go to Start, type "Restore" into the search bar, and once System Restore pops up at the top, just click it to find the option to turn it off.
I honestly don't get why everyone is making such a huge deal out of closing the old Funny picture thread just to start a new one without the GIFs. It’s standard practice on basically every forum out there to have Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and so on—it never causes this much drama elsewhere. People who posted in the first thread can just keep posting their stuff in the second one and it's totally fine...
I watched that one quite a while ago, and honestly, it wasn't really my thing. 🙂 Nothing special—it was just a decent enough watch, but I ended up feeling pretty bored and disappointed by the end...

Even if the directing isn't bad, the editing absolutely kills the vibe, leaving the whole thing—both the story and the execution—looking like a disorganized mess. Plus, there's an endless barrage of dialogue where everyone just constantly interrupts one another, which is just plain irritating.
I mean, come on, not every Romero flick can hit the heights of "Dawn of the Dead," but this one? It’s just... I don't even know. Is it horror? A thriller? A drama? Satire? It refuses to settle into a genre, so it ends up feeling like it's trying to be everything and nothing all at once...
As for this remake, I was actually pretty into it for the first thirty minutes. Everything felt snappy and well-paced, especially with how quickly they brought the military into the mix—it was a dynamic, gripping start. But things really start to stall when (don't ask me how) the sheriff escapes the "camp" and heads back to town to find his wife. Honestly, from that point on, the movie just drags. I think the biggest Achilles' heel here is that "The Crazies" themselves aren't active enough. Maybe I was expecting more of a classic zombie atmosphere packed with high-octane action and spectacle, but the attacks here are far too limited and infrequent. It's a shame because the film showed promise; Eisner did a great job with the visual concept, if only the writers had done their jobs better... After all, Ray Wright and Scott Kosar specialize in writing remakes—they're the minds behind films like Pulse, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Amityville Horror.
@Donna Gray4, did you even see the movie? This looks like an observation copied straight from Horrorhr. By the way, for me, the film was just o. k. I wasn't expecting a massive blockbuster from the jump, so it actually surprised me in a good way. It wasn't bad at all.
I haven't tried that myself, and honestly, I wouldn't. I’d just tap F8 right when the computer starts up; that error message isn't really a big deal in the grand scheme of things...
