Question: I’ve got Netflix and Max on my Samsung Smart TV downstairs. I’m running everything over Wi-Fi since the router is upstairs, and the signal strength is actually great—I don't even need an extender down here. Netflix works flawlessly; it streams in HD without any buffering at all. However, Max is being incredibly sluggish. The resolution constantly dips between HD and something that looks painfully like 240p. Would using a powerline adapter between floors fix this by providing enough bandwidth for a steady stream, or am I stuck running an Ethernet cable if I want it fixed? Thanks!

Here we go, yet another entry in the endless line of exorcism movies. We'll see soon enough if this one just sinks into mediocrity or actually manages to bring something fresh and original to the table. The last flick on this subject I caught here was The Rite starring Hopkins, and honestly, I found it pretty ridiculous due to how poorly made it was.
PLOT: Back in 1989, Maria Rossi killed three people during an exorcism performed on her. About twenty years later, her daughter travels to Rome to visit her mother, who is currently in a psychiatric hospital. In an attempt to make sense of everything that happened, she accepts an offer from a priest to witness a real exorcism firsthand...
I read a review from someone who caught an advance screening of the movie recently, claiming it was just mediocre. I really hope they're wrong and that it actually turns out to be better than that. Besides, ever since I watched The Black Cat a few years back and saw the brilliant Jeffrey Combs playing Poe, I haven't been able to picture anyone else in the role; the man absolutely crushed it.

Actually, it's a shame they didn't mention Body Double, Sisters, and Obsession; I think they deserve it. I'd swap them on this list for Snake Eyes and Mission to Mars. 😉

Actually, I respect De Palma so much that I almost wish he'd just stop making movies altogether; it's pretty obvious he hasn't been in his prime for a while now, even if nothing he does can touch the greatness of his earlier work.
A huge disappointment for me... It was such a bland movie, I couldn't wait for it to end. I really thought > meant the master was finally getting back into form, but it looks like that was just a brief flash in the pan.

The director is Daniel Kušat, son of Ivan Kušat, and he's about 35 years old if I recall correctly. And man, that whole American vibe just practically radiates off this film...🤣 So, because this movie is set in America, you're automatically assuming it’s pushing some kind of old American nostalgia? Please. Are you one of those people whose entire family history supposedly started in 1990? Was your grandfather born in '91?

And please, let's not turn this specific thread about COCA-COLA AND GHOSTS into a debate over whether people enjoy American films or hate them... there are plenty of other threads for that. Furthermore, while you think it would be better this way and predict people won't like this version, others clearly disagree. We've all voiced our stances on the CGI aspect. Why drag this out? When it hits theaters, we'll see if it flops or flies—and then we'll see who was right.🙂

I get that, but we're veering off track here and going off-topic. My point was simply that the period setting shouldn't be a barrier for any kid watching a movie today; if the younger generation isn't interested in domestic films regardless, then unfortunately, no amount of price updates is going to fix that.

If a movie and its characters are actually well-crafted, even today’s most clueless kids can find themselves in the story—provided they even have the desire to watch domestic films or read a book. Back when I was a kid in the early '90s, one of my absolute favorites was Stand by me. It wasn't like I had anything in common with the 1950s, nor did I spend my time picking blueberries or working on a farm; I had virtually zero connection to those characters other than being roughly the same age as them. The fact that they didn't have video rentals, color TVs, or Walkmans didn't stop the movie from being phenomenal for me. Besides, it's better when a film is set in the past. The thought of Coca-Cola and the crew rocking Justin Bieber hairstyles, using iPhones, and talking in modern internet slang... ouch. 😁
From what I can gather, all these InMusic concerts are capped at 60 minutes, so anything longer gets cut—which usually means they're just playing the hits 👎
