This forum can be a pretty chill spot to hang out after work or school, most of the time anyway, provided people aren't being total jerks and actually know when to back off. Whether they're trolling or just hating on the mods and everyone else's posts, some people are just exhausting...

I get that every now and then a massive troll fest breaks out and ruins the whole vibe, making you wish we talked more about football. But instead of trying to tear down everything that already works, we should just start some cool new threads that are protected from the usual nonsense. Evolution over revolution, man.

It’s actually cool that you can have a normal conversation with the moderators and that they’re actually willing to listen to what users have to say.

Look, Jill isn't always a total riot, unless you count watching people lose their minds over what she says. Honestly, I don't even care. She’s a character, and we need more people like her...

Why be stricter? Stricter for who? There's really only one active thread on this whole site, Pušimera.
Hardly anyone even bothers posting anymore now that they've "cleaned things up."

why?

Why would management go after anyone?...

I’ve never seen a more ridiculous ban than the one Justin James10 just took 🤦. The guy didn't even do anything; some rookie ref just cracked under pressure from those angry Real Madrid fans and sent an innocent man straight to the gulag.

ruggedjackal46 said:It was quite the classic showdown, really. A heated debate, feathers flying everywhere... and now, thanks to that, restlesssurfer97 and Justin James10 will be out strolling around town for the next three days instead of hanging out here on the forum. Big deal. ☕

I honestly don't get why restlesssurfer97 was pushing for a permanent ban. Back when we were dealing with those massive fallout debates after the Champions League finals, we probably should have been asking for five bans given how much he was trolling us. But so what? Whether he was messing with people or if he was messing with Justin James10, once you cross the line, you get wiped and penalized, and life goes on. Or maybe it doesn't go on—maybe he just stays off the forum and stops posting. Yeah, a permanent ban sounds about right. 🤦

You hit the nail on the head, ruggedjackal46.

God, how many times have people been insulting each other and trolling on the La Liga thread? Me, you, everyone—and don't even get me started on "Chmarlos"—all without a single warning. And now, over one little ban, everyone’s whining and writing these dramatic apology posts 🤣

Whatever. Stop being such crybabies, that's all. Some users annoy the hell out of me too, and I've definitely called a few people names, but I wouldn't fight to keep them posting, nor would I point fingers at anyone just because they're ruining the "quality" of the board (what quality, anyway?)
It's simple: just don't talk to the people who bore you and peace out. It's the damn internet; you don't have to look at or listen to anyone if you don't want to.

ruggedjackal46 said:Classic Madridista behavior. While the rest of the squad was out there pouring their blood on the field, they were busy reducing Real Madrid to nothing more than "BBC."

Ronaldo style.

'I'm not saying Angrif, Sergio Ramos, and Sinquer are bad at debating, but I'd much rather hang with the trolls like Walter Grant5 and restlesssurfer97'

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the VRM13 crew—who definitely don't seem to be part of the inner circle—react to this. A civil war on the horizon?...

brightpilot6 said:It’s a tough uphill battle for VB16, considering they've been getting absolutely dismantled by the ZTC Trading trio for years now.

ZTC Trading 🙏

And on the flip side? You've got Ajuto, Narko, Ono, Overture, and Sid. They haven't settled on an acronym just yet—does anyone have any bright ideas?

Reducing the opposition to the dominant VB16 clan down to just three letters is pure ego...
What a total insult to all those respected VRM13 members who spent years grinding on the Real Madrid thread defending the club's honor.

I was watching this quiz show on PBS, the one that airs at 8.
Password.
There was this woman who had to answer questions—you know, the standard multiple choice, A, B, C, D format.
She was so clueless and uneducated that I actually felt a wave of sympathy for her.

I wasn't even tracking whether she got any answers right; she just seemed completely out of touch because she was born in Germany and moved here to live in America.

?!

ruggedjackal46 said:You know how it is when Real Madrid fans hype something up as being legendary, divine, or basically the GOAT, 🙏 🙏 but then you end up with some mediocre amateur hour that only works if you squint your eyes shut and pretend you didn't see it? ☕

It’s honestly so easy to manipulate those Madridistas.
Reminds me of how they used to treat young Asensi like he was winning a Ballon d'Or just because he pulled off a couple of flashy moves against some bottom-tier teams... predicted he'd be a superstar too.

brightpilot6 said:Well, this series isn't really meant to be a belly laugh kind of show. I mean, sure, there are some great jokes—and some weaker ones, obviously—but the foundation is humor built in the vein of Jerry Seinfeld. It relies mostly on those everyday situations and reactions where we see ourselves or people we know reflected back, all presented through a sort of relaxed, "whatever" perspective on life. For me, that makes it the kind of material you can watch multiple times without the individual punchlines losing their edge. That's why it feels like such a breath of fresh air; aside from the scoundrel and Gruntovcan, I honestly can't think of another American series I'd want to revisit like this, yet I've already sat through every episode three times.

Plus, there is always something refreshing about watching actors who aren't constantly in your face.

It's not that the show doesn't give you a decent, fun 20 minutes or that it isn't charming; it just didn't live up to the massive hype you guys built up. I expected it to absolutely wreck me based on how it was hyped...

ruggedjackal46 said:The foundations are solid here. The guys are actually hitting their marks, and you can watch the series without feeling that awkward cringey sensation—which, honestly, is a massive leap forward for American comedy. I didn’t go overboard with the LOLs, but then again, I wasn't trying to either.

I'm with him on this. If they were interesting enough to make me want to catch new episodes when they drop—and the only show I actually follow on TV is The Saga of Cholism, which is entering its eighth season with two more already greenlit—then they've done something.
Sure, the plot got a bit thin after season five and the constant cast changes don't help keep people hooked, but it still has its
moments ☕

You guys hyped this project up so much that I actually had to go check it out after hearing about it for the first time today. It’s not terrible, but it definitely isn't the masterpiece you're making it out to be. Honestly, most of it is pretty predictable... couldn't even bring myself to laugh once.

Banning smoking on the sidelines is one of the biggest moves ever made to kill off the spontaneity and mystique that used to surround this game.

It’s one of those sights I miss most about modern soccer. A close-up of a manager looking stone-faced with a cigarette gripped between his fingers. Nothing much is even happening on the pitch, but just that one shot—that single drag of smoke—would crank the tension up an entire octave...

Not long after those events, we transitioned into three years of a much calmer reintegration process. ☕

Dude, the moment you're talking about is way more like this...

The Storm is just getting started...

It's coming...

darkseal9 said:Man, all that cash wasted on trashy shows and garbage programming... honestly, I’m starting to dread even having the TV on when there's actually decent stuff playing outside.

Ugh. Seriously, out of all the nonsense in this world, I just don't get why people feel the need to throw money at some disposable, fast-fashion crap made by white guys...

Honestly, I don't even know what kind of TV I actually have—don't know the brand or the screen size, I'll have to go check. Pretty sure it's a Samsung, though. I dropped a decent amount of cash on it just two years ago. But for what? I only turn the damn thing on once a week to watch Cholov's disciples run wild... everything this thing does, my old Samsung that I used to watch the League on when I was a kid could do just fine. On/off, volume up and down, what else is there...
And there's no way he'll serve even half as long as that other guy did...

Whatever, to each their own. Respect...

Look, there was a reason they used to require you to actually win your domestic league first. Now? It’s just a joke. Honestly, I’d feel totally embarrassed walking around if I somehow won the LP without even being the champion of my own country. For real.

you're hitting the nail on the head there, Ajajajajuto

I’d be way too mortified to grab a coffee with Krist if I won some trash trophy like that...
