Good. That's just how it goes
I grew up listening to Motörhead, which definitely gave me a soft spot for faster, heavier sounds, though I haven't really been spinning them much lately. Lately, I've been revisiting the classics—realized I missed them

Anthony Jackson2 said:You're missing the point because your entire argument starts from a flawed premise. They didn't attack because of religion, they didn't attack because we're "infidels," and it's not some grand scheme to Islamize us (?). The attack wasn't about faith—it was driven by other factors that you, Emily Ward3, that wannabe comedian Ken, and the rest of you seem determined to ignore, which is exactly what this thread has been debating for three days now.
They use religious rhetoric because the people pulling their strings have brainwashed them into thinking there’s a reward waiting in paradise—but that isn't why the attack happened.
For three days now, you've been bashing Islam, yet you conveniently forget how many people have been slaughtered in the name of Christianity—and you also forget that "peaceful" Christians in this country have only managed to nearly wipe each other out twice in the last century.
Besides, when you start quoting the Old Testament—all those lovely verses about forgiveness and peace...🙄
No, Islam isn't inherently violent, just as Christianity or Buddhism aren't—even though millions have died in the name of all three. Why? Because there are enough corrupt people in this world to twist any belief system to serve their own petty interests. Attacking Islam is an insult to the millions of people who have lived peacefully in America for generations under that "violent" faith.
Personally, I don't think religion does anyone any good, but I can understand why some people need it. Still, seeing one religion like Christianity being placed on a pedestal above all others—it's honestly nauseating.
I don't see how criticizing an idea is the same thing as insulting the people who follow it for whatever reason they choose.
Sandra Johnson58 said:That's the honest truth right there. Europeans practically invented genocide and total destruction; they're just waiting for a breaking point so the public turns against Muslims, and then everything goes to hell. I guess the only thing we'll actually see come out of this is everyone losing their civil liberties just in the name of "security."
Americans trademarked genocide? You're being real, man. Pretty sure you just worded that wrong.
Humans have always had that primitive drive to wipe out anyone perceived as a threat or competition for resources. No one needed to "trademark" it; it’s just built-in. And it’s not just humans—it’s every living creature.
Noble Native American tribes were doing the exact same thing in isolation long before Europeans showed up; nobody had to teach them how to do it. The Japanese were pretty ruthless with the Ainu people in Hokkaido, and we all know what went down during the final years of the Ottoman Empire... for example. Americans were just more efficient and creative at it than the rest of the world.
Anyway, destruction and hate aren't specific to one group of people—they belong to everyone. Evil is just part of us. Fact. ☕

The Middle East used to be the absolute heart of civilization. It was where everything kicked off, the place where humanity finally grabbed the tools needed to climb out of the stone age... All along those historic lands sat the most stunning cities of the ancient world, famous for their incredible architecture, the first paved streets, massive monuments, and advanced water systems. It was the birthplace of the first libraries—actual places where knowledge was kept safe so it wouldn't just vanish into thin air.
In the lavish courts of ancient rulers, chemists, mathematicians, and philosophers worked to crack the secrets of the universe, and their breakthroughs often became the foundation for Western scholars centuries later. That old Persian Empire was even one of the first to push the idea of multiculturalism, letting conquered people worship whoever they wanted as long as they paid their taxes to the Emperor. This region was basically the fountainhead of everything advanced and noble. And then Islam hit.
Suddenly, that whole civilization collapsed right back to where it started. Where there used to be progress, there was just devastation. Not to give foreign invaders a pass, obviously, but they definitely played their part in the wreckage.
Any organized religion is potentially toxic, at the very least. But none of them—not even close—have consistently fought against the things we claim to value, like equality, the pursuit of knowledge, and actual progress, quite like Islam does (or at least, the mainstream hardcore version of it).

Nobody gives a damn about actual human suffering more than those big-shot animal rights activists. It’s no surprise most of these laws meant to protect "the defenseless" were basically ripped straight out of Nazi Germany...
And of course, they couldn't care less if a person can't even get a decent night's sleep because of some dog. I'd love to give them—and the owners who can't train their mutts—a piece of my mind...

Moving forward, then! We are on the hunt for official openers for the other groups!Alex Cook said he’ll be in Group E. Unless he comes out and denies it, that’s my final word on the matter! 😁
So, they actually stayed! A, B, and G!
I'm in.
btw, sign me up to open the threads for the LP finals too.

No stalling around here, I already started typing and the intro for the States is basically done... ☕
I can't find the link you're talking about...

Just checking in about opening up Group D for the upcoming World Cup ☕

Trolling on Example
in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The whole point is that La Liga, with this exact lineup of players, should be a legit topic where people can actually debate, banter, write something useful, or even troll a little bit... IF the vast majority of regular visitors—specifically the die-hard Real Madrid and FC Barcelona fans—actually had the decency to stop arguing about stupid nonsense, like whether Cristiano Ronaldo carries a briefcase or a gym bag, or just move those dumb comments to another thread... that's pretty much it for me.
btw, looking at the regulars here, I’ve been around long enough to tell you things used to be way worse. That’s my biggest gripe, honestly; everything could be so much better if people stopped constantly fighting over absolute garbage.

So, if you're annoyed by the lack of quality, just put in the work to improve the thread. It’s much easier to sit back, act bitter, and demand the moderators fix things when they can't solve everything, without actually lifting a finger yourselves.

brightpilot6 said:It really makes you wonder—why wouldn't there be ten full pages dedicated to Messi’s tax issues if there was enough interest to drive it? Or why is it that some reporters are allowed to look the other way when it comes to Real Madrid or Barcelona, while others face nothing but stigma just because they aren't interested in Getafe?
Fine, if we’re such a nuisance to them, let’s just head elsewhere. I honestly couldn't care less where we end up writing. Just take all your internal bickering and trolling over to some El Clásico troll thread, or whatever passing drama is happening in American soccer. I don't understand why that kind of behavior is perfectly acceptable over there, yet completely taboo here.
It’s not just about the mess with Messi, there’s so much other crap going on, it feels like a new drama every single day. If one day we're obsessing over Messi, the next it's everyone trying to kick Raul out of Madrid, then it's Ronaldo's body issues, then Messi sitting on the bench against Bayern, then the whole thing with the mole, and so on... I don't care if people write ten pages about Ozil's transfer or whatever, but the endless back-and-forth bickering? That's what really gets old...
It’d actually be bearable if it was just like ten people going at it internally. That used to happen on every thread—back before things got watered down—and it actually made sense. But now that there are 30 people all chiming in about some nonsense Dad said in the newspaper, following the conversation is basically impossible unless you want to get sucked into the drama...
I don't know if I need to say this again, but I don't have a problem with you or anyone else on the main thread. Some posts are actually decent to read, and there's some good banter here and there. We’re just talking about moving one guy's specific argument to its own thread... honestly, there's no need for all this drama...
Jeffrey Edwards76 said:Look, the fix is painfully simple. Just spin up a dedicated thread for them—somewhere you can dump all that nonsense once they start acting out. It's not like they have to stop posting everywhere else. Sure, the quality might drop to MLS or maybe even USL levels, but at least it'll be readable. For God's sake, we’ve got fifteen different threads over here just trying to expose the corruption in American pro soccer, yet when people who spend two days arguing about growth hormones try to weigh in, we hesitate? Makes no sense.
exile 🙂
😁
Amen.
Look, I get it. If you're a fan of the Lakers or the Celtics, you're gonna talk trash and mess with each other—that's fine. But there's no need to bring that nonsense into the thread meant for following the MLS. Just start a new thread for the banter or whatever you want to call it...
Matthew Anderson4 said:Nobody is talking about hair gel or mental health here. Honestly, I suspect there's a witch hunt going on. But don't worry, we know a thing or two about magic.
What kind of witch hunt? Look, we should be able to act like adults and just say what's bothering us without all the whining, and if someone else has an opinion, they should just answer properly.
It’s not like anyone on the Pushimer team is bothering me, and I wouldn't dream of kicking anyone out. It’s just that after four years—where we decide we need to change something every six months—I'm honestly just sick of hearing the same old crap...
Matthew Anderson4 said:Honestly, I think VB16/VRM13 have more right to be running the Primere thread than anyone else posting there. Personally, I wouldn't even care if Robert Torres and his crew just started their own separate thread and left ours alone.
Nah, forget that, Pušimera is my kid☕
No seriously though, what makes you think you have more "right" to that thread than I do? You haven't even been here that long. This whole idea that a thread belongs to one specific person is just stupid. Just like every other thread on this site, Pušimera belongs to everyone, and everyone should be able to post in it.
I’m generally against splitting threads up (unless we're just redirecting a specific debate elsewhere), but if there's no other way and the mods are on board, I don't mind them opening a new spot to follow the Spanish league...
I might sound like a total wimp saying this, but honestly, opening a separate thread for the lower English leagues makes sense since people follow them so closely anyway... keeps the main league discussions from getting cluttered. I’m fine with it.
But then why is it such a massive issue to finally just start one dedicated, chaotic thread for the VB16/VRM13 debates where all the kids ☕ can go absolutely wild and talk trash to each other? That way, I don't have to deal with it...

Anthony Jackson2 said:Honestly, you both have a point—partially. The issue lies somewhere in the middle. Like I said, trolling isn't inherently the problem, especially if it's actually clever. A little bit of trolling can spark a debate, which drives up the post count, which in turn drives more clicks. And we all know this site exists for the clicks ☕
.
That said, there has to be some level of restraint. When people show up just to drop brainless one-liners that make zero sense, it turns into a circus, obviously.
Then there’s the crowd that doesn't know how to handle a troll—they get it, but instead of responding, they just start whining, spamming emojis, and calling for the mods. Meanwhile, those same people will troll the second they get the chance. It drives me crazy, and frankly, it’s usually that exact group that ruins a thread with their stupidity. If you see someone trolling, either ignore them or shut them down with actual arguments 🙄
.
It's the same story with people who don't even follow the league, yet they jump in to troll because there's plenty of material or enough naive users to bait
.
When you put it all together, you don't end up with a debate seasoned with trolling; you just get a pile of nonsense that isn't interesting, funny, or anything positive. It sucks.
So, what's the fix? Start a live chat, I guess ☕
.
Just kidding—we'll talk it out, but things are definitely going to change
.
P.S. If anyone has feedback regarding the moderators, please move that conversation over to the Private Lounge 😉
.
Is anything actually going to happen here, or should we just wait until next season for things to change?
ruggedjackal46 said:Seriously, why even have a sub-forum for fanbases that don't actually exist here?
"Runs smoothly"? Give me a break. The Premier League thread is a ghost town, Serie A has been dead since the league lost its spark, and Ligue 1 isn't exactly a hub for high-level debate either. Look, once the notorious feralgardener36 and that inner circle moved over to the Premier League section, they left a vacuum for fans of the big league. And who stepped up to fill it? Absolutely nobody.
Quote:If you aren't scrolling through pages of filler, you'll lose the will to write just the same. You're one of the few people actually providing substance in the La Liga thread; if we opened a separate thread, you'd be one of the few people providing substance (and perhaps one of the few users at all) in that one too.
It’s also possible there are people who *would* contribute if the structure allowed it, but they just don't. Take me, for example. I've been around here a while, but when I show up and have to scroll through five pages of the exact same repetitive garbage, I just lose interest and log off.
Look, open the thread. It doesn't cost me anything. I’d gladly trade my dignity for a single thread that actually fosters a lively, constructive atmosphere for clubs outside the usual suspects. But I think this whole argument relies on flawed logic—it's not like Barcelona or Real Madrid are responsible for the trolling happening in their own corner.
I'm not necessarily demanding a thread that completely ignores the talk about LA or Miami. That was just one suggestion.
As far as I'm concerned, what Alex Cook suggested could work too—splitting it into two threads, one for the trash talk and another for actual discussion. But for that to work, the regulars would actually have to have the discipline to move the trolling over to the joke thread and try to act like adults here... 🤷
ruggedjackal46 said:That would actually make sense if there were a significant number of people who actually wanted to write constructive pieces on Spanish football—but they can't because of the constant trolling from VB and VRM. But let's be real: are there actually Sociedad fans who find themselves unable to get a word in? Are there La Liga enthusiasts who show up to the thread and then immediately flee? As far as I can remember, the only long-running, continuous debate outside of the Barca/Real circus was just the endless trolling between Athletic Bilbao fans and... well, more Athletic Bilbao fans. It’s the same nonsense under a different name. Is the number of constructive posts really going to change just because there's a second thread? I'm betting it won't.
It’s easy to romanticize the fans of smaller clubs—as if they don't push marketing, don't troll, and are always being constructive. If only it were true, but in most cases, it isn't. If people are genuinely annoyed by the mindless trolling from VB and VRM, then that's a job for the moderators to handle, isn't it?
Calling everyone here a troll who just trolls for the sake of trolling is a pretty shallow take. I think plenty of people want to have actual discussions, and most threads work perfectly fine without needing moderation. The nonsense is mostly limited to La Liga topics, anything touching on it, Champions League, the Ballon d'Or thread, and lately, the Bundesliga since Dortmund absolutely demolished the Madrid teams. 🙂
I seriously don't doubt that a new thread would be mostly normal discussion, simply because most users active on this site right now who aren't focused on Barca or Madrid are trying to play it straight. And let's ignore that whole mess between Athletic and Atletico that flared up maybe twice in the four years I've been here and never even resulted in a single ban.
Whether there are Real Sociedad or Levante fans out there who want to write something but feel they can't... I don't think it matters. What matters is that those of us posting right now clearly aren't happy with how things are.
I wouldn't rule out the possibility that there really are people who might contribute more, but the structure of this thread pushes them away. Take me, for example—I've been around here a while, but when I come back and have to scroll through five pages of the exact same garbage, I lose all motivation to post and just log off. Lately, my activity is pretty much just following matches live. There are also Valencia or Deportivo fans who pop in occasionally and might have something worthwhile to say, but they can't get a word in edgewise like this.
Anyway, let's at least try to change something. Maybe it'll work, and it's hard to imagine things getting any worse than this...
Independence ☕!
Bryan Adams6 said:Wait, so Barca and Real aren't Spanish soccer? 🤷
If we want to have a normal conversation, why should we still have to deal with all the trolling?
Besides, if the mods actually stepped in and penalized the trolls instead of practically encouraging them, we wouldn't even be having this conversation.☕
Look, the truth is it’s almost impossible to talk about Madrid or Barca without someone starting crap, and honestly, hardly anyone here even tries to keep it civil. At least that’s how it looks to me. Even when someone tries to post something decent, some idiot will inevitably swoop in to shut them down, and before you know it, three posts later, the whole thread has devolved into an uncontrolled troll fest. Doesn't matter if it's about La Liga, transfer rumors, or the Champions League, it's always the same.
Personally, I don't mind a bit of banter or moderate trolling—I'm not here to lecture people on how to act—but man, I really don't feel like scrolling through seven or eight pages of losers whining about how Messi sat on the bench against Bayern.
I seriously doubt this place will ever have a normal thread where the nonsense is kept in check and everyone can actually enjoy the discussion. Honestly, the only real fix seems to be splitting things up. Or at least give the younger crowd their own sub-forum where they can just mess around without worrying about it... 🙂
Independence 🙂
We could physically split this mess in two: one thread just for Barca and Real Madrid talk (which is basically 90% trolling anyway) and another for everything else. Maybe then we wouldn't be constantly moving posts around and could actually get a thread where people can have a real conversation about Spanish football...
