Once you actually sit down and realize that having two TVs, a receiver, a media player, and a handful of chargers plugged in all night long is basically leaving the house on standby mode, you see how much money you're just throwing away on electricity.

Do you guys ever actually use your local public library? Yeah. No.
How often do you hit up your local public library in a month? I'd say about four times. What brings you into the library most often? Feel free to pick one or two reasons. I agree with Mark Martinez4.I can't stand how people try to cancel books just because they're meant for leisure. Borrowing books for school or university. c) Using the library and its resources
How often are you the one to strike up a conversation with the librarians at the circulation desk or in the reading room? (Rate from 1 - never, to 5 - always) 1 2 3 4 5
How would you rate your communication with the library staff? (1 - poor, 5 - excellent) 1 2 3 4 5
When you talk to librarians, do you ever notice their tone, their pace, or just how they carry themselves? Yeah. No.
10. How much attention does the librarian actually pay when you're explaining what you need, and do they seem genuinely interested in helping? (1 - not at all, 5 - absolutely) 1 2 3 4 5
How would you rate the effort a librarian puts into their job on a scale of 1 to 5? (1 being the lowest, 5 being the highest). 1 2 3 4 5
What do you guys think we could do to make talking to librarians a bit smoother and more productive?
So, just a heads-up... if you're using "quick reply" mode and try to post something with more than 10 emojis (or images, or links), it won't let you go through without an explanation.
I find it pretty hilarious how the women this thread is mostly targeting just rolled their eyes and joined in on the joke—which led to some seriously witty replies—while one guy ended up feeling personally attacked 🤷.
In a real-life emergency, I’d love to have him by my side to protect me, but honestly, I think I’d get bored of all that moralizing pretty quickly (or maybe it's just called being a total killjoy 🤔 ).
Where have you been living? It’s pretty clear you don't know the first thing about men. Like they actually care about looks. As long as they say yes, they're happy. And even if they don't, just look at this.
Raymond Robinson37 said:Man, no offense, but I’d rather take a job I’ve never even touched than deal with this. If this is actually how things are going, God help anyone working there. Either he was drunk on the job or there's some other issue at play. Adding an extra hole just made everything worse. That's why I went with wireless—so I don't have to be drilling holes all over my house. Honestly, it feels like he showed up with a mission to wreck your house... 🙂
Jebateled, I just realized 😲. The guy found out his wife was flashing her chest to rapidrider3's husband over the fence 😲:
rapidrider3 said:...(he doesn't know, but his wife was showing off her chest to my guy over the fence 🤣, total jerk... they were joking around, then she just lifts her shirt... 😲😲, I didn't see it, and honestly, better that way... it's my little ace in the hole if I ever need to crush someone...)☕
Since he's barely five feet tall and skinny, the guy decided to get revenge using his own specialty. An impact drill. 😂.
rapidrider3 said:Thanks. I should probably add a few more details.
1. Regarding the gas—it was obvious from day one there wouldn't be extra charges for that. He just made that up on the last day when he finally came over to clear out our cart that he’d blocked off with pipes (he actually ran a pipe right over the wheel!). He showed up grumbling, trying to blame us for the mess (even though I told him we had stuff stored in the pantry under the stairs and I'd move it, but he insisted it wasn't necessary)... once he cleared it, we started talking about the next phase of the job. Since we'd already handed him $1,000 upfront, we offered him another $1,000 max to wrap things up (because he was asking for another $3,000 just for labor). I pointed out he'd already been paid enough, considering he took $3,000 for labor but had barely finished laying the pipes... that's when the argument kicked off. He was valuing the whole job at $6,000, but there's no way he can be 50% more expensive than a licensed contractor who actually provides an invoice and a warranty.
I really needed to mention this part. 😂 He dragged a pipe right over the wheel. 😂 I'm going to lose my mind 😂.
He just walked off waving... while I’m standing here yelling... you still owe me twenty bucks! 🤣
I'm actually choking on my laughter. 😂
I know you're probably cringing by now, but honestly, I've started laughing like a maniac. I can totally picture you pointing your finger at him and shouting as he leaves 😂.
Go ahead and vent to us like we're your therapists—we're listening. It’s way better to let it all out here than to take it out on some poor contractor.
It’d actually be a pretty good comedy, too—there’s even some eroticism involved. Like, just some suggestive teasing through a fence 🤣.
As for a happy ending, besides getting a massive payout from Netflix for the script, we could always marry off your son to the little girl next door. Do you have a son? No? Doesn't matter, we'll just make one up. You know how these TV shows work—some kid from a previous marriage who's been lost for years.
Man, there’s definitely going to be more to this story.
🍿
What if you just gave up the sewing and started writing instead? I mean, those first few posts were such a wild ride I had to read them twice, but the fact that I actually *wanted* to keep reading says a lot. Your storytelling has this fast, punchy rhythm—it’s almost staccato—and I was just dying to see what comes next. And the descriptions? Man, they paint such a vivid picture that I felt like I was right there living the scene myself. 🤣
I'm totally hooked.
Write a comedy screenplay, pitch $67 and make $20,000 on a hit 😂. You should probably ask the lead actor if he wants to play himself 🤣.
Pasmater, I read this like it was a freaking thriller. I couldn't wait to reach the final 🤣 👍. Especially since I jumped in right during the "deadline" phase. I don't have the guts to handle things that way. Honestly, I wouldn't do it by any 😬. Unfortunately, people can push me around pretty easily. I guess it's just written on my face.
It's a total mess, $67, but the point isn't about $67; it's about how it drives you crazy for at least a month. And you'll probably think about it several times a day, talk about it at home, feel the weight of it, and need those $67 just to find some closure so you can move on with your life.
