Go with Dr. Ostojica. I had both my nose and my breasts done by him and he’s honestly incredible. Zero complaints on my end.🙂
jadedriver0 said:Look, being real here—it's gonna hurt. You'll be swollen, you'll have bruising under your eyes and around your nose, and there might be blood in your throat. It'll be rough. You won't be able to eat anything hard for at least two weeks, especially anything crunchy. Your nose is going to stay swollen for a while. You won't see the actual results of the surgery for six months, and honestly, it rarely turns out exactly how people picture it in their heads. People end up disappointed, so you really need to think this through.🤷

....none of that is true...☕
Gerald Cruz71 said:Also, I still can't feel one toe on my right foot from the anesthesia.

...everything feels fine except for the area just below my nose tip. It's still numb.😁
Gerald Cruz71 said:plus my right eye stayed bloodshot for about five weeks after the surgery

..same thing happened to me. Tears for two days, then a bloody eye for about a month😲
Sarah Booth11 said:If the surgeon actually did their job right, nothing visible on the nose should change. My nose looks exactly how it did ten days after surgery. I just waited for the swelling to go down, and once that was over, that was it. It's always had this shape.

...mine turned out great, but it definitely changed over time. Don't speak for me—the changes are obvious.☕

I'm getting this surgery to stop obsessing over my nose, not so I can spend every single day checking if it grew back. ☕

..if you picked a decent surgeon, your nose should stay smaller, not bigger. I assume that's the goal. ☕
stormyharbor2 said:So you're saying I could end up with a pig nose right after surgery, only for it to turn pointy again nine months later?🤣

Depends on how you look at it.🤣Hell yeah, obviously not. If he pulls the pin on that bone, it’s gone. Period. As for the size thing? Sure, maybe. But if you think you can just skip looking in the mirror for a year, then don't even bother going under the knife.☕
Gerald Cruz71 said:It's been 14 months since my surgery and my nose is still changing

I'll send photos via PM if you ask.

..Facts. It's been 9 months for me and things are still shifting...😁

Apparently, my posts look like ads to some people, but they aren't. I paid for my own surgery. Maybe I was just too intense about how much I love it since the results still blow my mind—I used to look like Cyrano, but now I'm getting compliments left and right. Maybe it's my personality, too; I've always been pretty blunt and Spartan. Plus, I'm 30, so I'm probably older than most of you, which might be why we aren't clicking.
Anyway, good luck to everyone getting surgery, whoever your doctor is!
Over and out!

...speaking of age, I think I'm the oldest here, but it doesn't matter. I just want to lower the tension. I don't need to force myself into spaces where I don't belong. I got my surgery done and I'm happy with it. If anyone actually needs advice, hit me up in a private message.🙂
..everyone’s entitled to their own choice. You should do your homework and vet whatever surgeon you're thinking about. To me, this stuff about Greeneyes feels like a straight-up ad. Sorry, but we all get a say in this. My choice was Dr. Ostojić, and that doesn't mean everyone else has to follow suit. Just because he did a good job for me doesn't mean he's the right fit for everyone else. So, quit trying to shove these ads down our throats.☕
Matthew Turner4 said:Picture this: you have an idea of what your perfect nose looks like, but reality isn't even close. Then you go see Branko Glušac, and he doesn't just give you that nose—he gives you one that's actually better than your dream version, perfectly balanced with your face. And it works perfectly, too.
My partner saw me and said: You really ARE the "nose queen."

This is for anyone still sitting on the fence.
It’s been 10 days since surgery, and the results speak for themselves. I had a full reconstruction (septoplasty included, obviously) plus reduction.
I picked Branko Glušac after doing some online research on rhinoplasty surgeons in the States.
I didn't bother with consultations elsewhere because once I see what I want, I know it.
Later, I saw people complaining about Branko Glušac’s personality or look (some nonsense about him being unshaven, blah blah...). Honestly, those people are just distracted. They don't know if they're here for elite (septo)rhinoplasty or to judge whether the doctor would be a good roommate. Their focus is totally off.
I usually avoid posting on forums (and I don't read them much either), but I had to break my rule to share this with everyone who thinks their nose is hopeless.

...it would be great if you posted some before and after photos for the indecisive ones😍
stormyharbor2 said:If I pull the trigger, I’m going to Glušac. He claims he uses closed techniques for everything.

It feels sketchy though, seeing his site claim these surgeries are painless and that you "go home without bruising or swelling." Everyone deals with swelling and bruises afterward.😁

He also says this:

...these surgeries really are painless. But saying you won't have bruising? I wouldn't bet on that. At least not for me. Everything is different for everyone, I guess. In my case, they had to deal with broken bones, so obviously there was going to be some reaction.😍
Even after surgery, the pain is gone.🙂
...as for open techniques, I don't want to act like an expert since I haven't tried it. Let someone who actually went through it weigh in. All I know is that surgeons here in the States don't typically use that method.😁
stormyharbor2 said:So I should be getting an open procedure then. 😳

...your doctor will decide what's best. They know which technique fits, but honestly, 95% of these surgeries are done closed-style. 🙂
Hannah Long82 said:Who decided closed technique beats open? Open is the standard American approach most surgeons actually use. Results are killer. The surgeon gets a clear view and way more precision. You won't see a scar under the nose because it heals perfectly. I went with the open method myself and the result is fantastic. I was swollen for maybe 10 days. Two weeks later, I looked totally normal without any makeup. A friend of mine did the closed technique and she was way more swollen than I ever was. Now she’s miserable and already looking into a revision. Anyone telling you closed is the only way to go clearly doesn't know what they're talking about. Do your own research online and see for yourself.

...everyone picks their own lane. You choose the technique you want if the doctor works with it. Nobody's claiming one is objectively better; both have pros and cons. I personally went with the closed technique and I'm stoked. It healed fast and there's zero visible scarring since that's how the technique works. ☕
Megan Moore76 said:I want to know more about the closed technique Branko Glušac uses. Is that approach actually effective for fixing minor issues, like lifting or slightly refining the tip? This whole "closed technique" thing is throwing me off.😢 Does the surgeon get the same level of access during an endonasal procedure as they do with open rhinoplasty?

Most of them are just using closed techniques anyway. ☕

With the closed technique, all the surgical cuts stay hidden inside the nostrils and the upper lip area. You won't see any external scarring.
If you've got severe tip deformities or a nose that’s been through the ringer with multiple surgeries or trauma, "closed" methods won't cut it. You need the open technique. It leaves a tiny V-shaped scar right where the columella meets the upper lip, but that's the trade-off for getting actual results. Just a heads up: expect more swelling at the tip than you would with a closed approach. How long that lasts really just depends on your skin type.
Nancy Perez74 said:He didn't ask my permission because I walked in from day one wanting this nose lifted. Whatever it takes to make it happen—I'm down. The end justifies the means.🙂 I’m four days out from surgery now and I can breathe through my nose just fine, no biggie, but man, I look hideous. It's hard to wrap your head around getting a purely cosmetic procedure and ending up looking like you got run over by a freight train.😉😉

...ugh, if you only knew how bad I used to look, total disaster 😲, but hey, everything should settle down in about two weeks.😍
Nancy Perez74 said:@Zachary Nguyen29 - yeah, I feel the same way. Thinking about construction tools smashing bones is way worse than cutting muscle. I don't get why everyone's freaking out over it...🙂
eh...and your signature is pretty cool 😍

tnx 😍
...also, we didn't mention to the ladies that Dr. Ostojić doesn't just cut muscle whenever he feels like it. He asks first. He wants permission. I said yes because my nose felt crooked whenever I talked, and that little bit of cutting naturally lifts it up. 😁
Nancy Perez74 said:I finally figured out what’s going on with my lips—they cut that muscle in my mouth and now everything is just swollen... that's why I look like this. I have a feeling this is gonna drag on for weeks.

@stormyharbor2/">@@stormyharbor2: You're definitely getting pain meds, everyone does. And you can grab heparin over the counter.

Man, I feel like my mouth looks like a total disaster right now.

...yeah, they cut that muscle in mine too and it felt exactly the same.😁
And I agree, when you're under anesthesia, it doesn't matter what they're doing. Honestly, breaking bones with a hammer—that "nose hammering" thing—is way worse than a little muscle incision.😛

@stormyharbor2/">@@stormyharbor2 - plenty of stuff says you can't get it without a prescription, but here in the States, those rules don't mean much. Just head to the drugstore and buy it.😁
stormyharbor2 said:http://www.centar-zdravlja.net/lijek...heparin-krema/

This junk? A doctor actually prescribed this?

Agreed on the "don't look in the mirror" part. Best advice I've heard yet. 😁

Just self-prescribe 😁, grab it over the counter at a CVS 🙂
stormyharbor2 said:🤣

Thanks for the info. Good to hear. So you actually get pain meds? rustygardener172, did you get them too? (Assuming you saw the same doctor).😬

@Nika... Heparin, huh? *scribbles in notebook* 😁 I'll probably look like a wreck. My skin is basically Snow White levels of pale—I bruise if someone even looks at me wrong. Worried about it because I can't stay in the city where my doctor is for long; I'd have to travel home looking like a giant bruise. 😳

Yeah, Heparin is the way to go. But I heard from some girl who just got home after surgery that she used cold compresses on the back of her neck and didn't end up with any bruising at all.
🤷
