I'm really starting to look into Smith. Honestly, more and more, I'm thinking about making him my doctor.

Yeah, I cut the muscle under my lip. Don't sweat it, though. You'll be fine. 😁Even before surgery, the doctor asked if I actually wanted him to go in and cut. I told him yes—I wanted that facial movement fixed. Every time I spoke, my nose would twitch or feel all tight. It was annoying. 🙄
Don't sweat it. You'll be out cold under anesthesia anyway. Honestly, getting your nose done sounds way worse than just cutting one muscle. 😁Recovery's taking a bit longer than expected. That area above the upper lip still feels pretty tight, but honestly, given how bad that incision was, it’s not surprising. 🙂
My recommendation? Go with Dr. Smith. 👍
Back again just to give a shoutout to Dr. Ostojic. The man is a freaking legend. My nose looks absolutely incredible. If you're out there stressing over which surgeon to trust with your face, just go see Dr. O. He’s on another level. I know this sounds like a blatant ad, but I don't care—I had to say it.😍
Rebecca Gomez37 said:Listen, if you want to deal with bruises and swelling, stop wasting time. Just tell me what methods and products actually work. Spit it out.
All I know about is New York, and I've got surgery right around the corner.👋

It’s day 11 since my surgery and I’m still bruised as hell. I’ve been slathering on New York nonstop, but honestly, I have no clue if any of this is actually doing anything. 😁
I don't know about other products. My doctor told me all those creams are total garbage. Said I shouldn't be slathering anything on it and that it'll just clear up on its own. 😁
driftingpuma26 said:Zachary Nguyen29, just send me the photos already. 😁
Skin issues are a joke. My whole face went bone dry from the adhesive, but my nose was an absolute grease trap. 😁A week ago, I started washing my face with just plain water—nothing crazy, maybe 3 or 4 times a day—and switched over to Johnson & Johnson. A week later, I look like a whole new person. 😁

Haven't taken any photos yet. Still dealing with some swelling. 😲Even the base of my nose is super swollen.🙄As for face washing and Johnson & Johnson, I just use New York. 😂Looks like I got hit the hardest with these bruises and swelling. 😁
Rebecca Gomez37 said:I don't even know what to tell you. I dealt with this nightmare for a month straight—first just whiteheads, then full-on pustules. And I have never, ever had issues with my skin before.
Hang in there, it'll pass. Your skin was basically suffocating, plain and simple. Seven days is a long stretch, though.-7 days is a long time🙄

Man, same here. My skin was perfect until now, and now this is driving me insane. I can't do anything about it either.😁
...Can anyone tell me what to use to get rid of blackheads on my nose after surgery? They're popping up right where the mold was placed 😁
help please 🙏
Rebecca Gomez37 said:Zachary Nguyen29—you get that mold out yet?
What do you think? Hit me up. If you can, DM me some pics.😉

Yeah, I am. Definitely today. 🙂
Our nose is perfect. Honestly, looking back, I don't even regret all that fear and misery we went through. It was worth it. 😍
Everything’s just swollen right now, but it’ll all settle down eventually. 😉
Scott James2 said:Hey everyone. I'm from Indianapolis and just went to the doctor because I can't breathe through my nose and my throat is constantly irritated. My surgery is set for May 7th. The report says "septoplasty and potentially turbinoplasty, due to a deviated septum and hypertrophied right inferior turbinate." I just want to know if this septoplasty includes fixing the shape of my nose. It used to be straight until I took a tennis ball to the face, and now it's got a bump 😁

Pretty sure fixing the look of it falls under cosmetic 🤷

you look seriously cute now 😉, gotta admit the hair looks good too 🙂
most importantly, the nose looks great now 😉

Rebecca Gomez37 said:I’d just dip a Q-tip in some olive oil and wipe the earwax out myself. Simple.😉))
So Dr. Smith keeps the mold on for seven days? I honestly thought my doctor was the only one who did that. Usually, everyone else just pulls it off after four.

Yeah, whatever. Smith keeps the mold for seven days, but the swabs only stay for 24 hours. 😁
Thanks. I'm gonna try that too—soaking some sticks in olive oil, just like you suggested. 😉I'll get on that once I grab the mold. Honestly, I'm still too nervous to mess around with it. 😍
Rebecca Gomez37 said:tell me what I should put on them to stop the swelling??
I used heparin to "erase" my bruises, but I didn't prevent them in the first place—it was a total nightmare!!!!
Might sound ridiculous, but Nick, I was taking Normabols and would sleep like a rock at night—waking up at noon, so the days just flew by....
Since you're awake by 8 AM, that's why I'm telling you; for me, it was the best rest ever—I slept harder than I ever have—even with tampons.
My new surgery is in two weeks, oh man, oh man....

I'm not taking anything, which is why I'm more awake than rested, plus sleeping on my back is impossible 🙄, I just end up rolling onto my side and keeping my head straight 😂, ughhh... pure misery
Fingers crossed for your next surgery 😉
Forgot to ask, how are you guys cleaning out those nose scabs? Like, what are you even using? 😛
driftingpuma26 said:Look, just run to CVS and grab some warm/cold compresses and cool down your neck... I was icing my neck for the first two days and didn't bruise up at all!!

....thanks 😉, but it’s too late for me now since the swelling is already starting to go down 😁
I saw that photo you posted where you had zero bruising or swelling, but I looked like I got hit by a semi-truck 😲 honestly, I couldn't have looked any worse. I'm just telling myself it's all slowly improving. I'm getting the mold removed on Monday, so hopefully everything looks decent by then 😉
Kate Thompson45 said:Nick, how you doing today?
Feeling any better?

hey Dragaaaaa 😉
I'm doing a little better today, but I'm still swollen. Honestly, I don't even look like myself 😲
They're taking the cast off on Monday, so hopefully everything's fine by then 😁
xoxo 😘
Chris Robinson6 said:Just realized what I'm getting into... my septum surgery is set for March 9th at the major hospital in NYC.....
Hopefully everything goes smoothly.......

Not trying to scare anyone, since everyone's different, and I’ve basically managed to hit every possible complication. Looking back, I don't know why I put myself through all this, but I'm just hoping I'll finally be happy without feeling self-conscious about it.😁
Good luck.😉
northernpanther12 said:I didn't even get the runs. I just had my septum fixed 😁, but I know guys in my dorm who couldn't even look at it

...same here. Hard to watch. 😲
William Turner82 said:I think that's nonsense. I'm 17, and I believe people should just look the way they were born. Everyone is born with their own flaws, and there's no reason to change them.

...it's all subjective and depends on the person. For example, I've dealt with an insecurity about my nose for years and have been planning this surgery for ages 😁, and you can't speak for everyone, because we're all different......
northernpanther12 said:The more you lie around, the higher the chances you'll end up with a massive breakout. Get moving. Walk a little and that shit will clear right up.👍

Thanks... I just laid down and now I'm just swelling up. 😁So, how’s the recovery going? You deal with any massive bruising?
Rebecca Gomez37 said:I was looking totally blue, bloated, with puffy eyelids too... go grab some heparin right now and start applying it, things move fast.🙂))
You can also get those homeopathic pellets for everything mentioned, they work pretty well too.
Hang in there—for a good result, it's all worth it.🙄
People forget the ugly part of this story pretty quick, and that's what matters most.😉)

Thanks a ton for the advice🙂, I need to go buy something because I'm terrified to look in the mirror😲, hopefully I won't have to obsess over this anymore🤣
Kate Thompson45 said:Dragaaaaa!
I was just thinking about you! 😁
Glad everything went smoothly! Is it hurting?
You home yet?

Look, I got home last night. Nothing hurts except a massive headache, but man, I'm totally wiped out. My right eye is practically swollen shut, plus it’s super red and watering constantly. Left cheek is puffed up too...🙄
At least I'm going in to get the swabs removed today, so I'll finally be able to breathe normally.😁
How are you doing? How's your recovery?
As for my nose, looks like it'll turn out fine, but it's hard to tell with all this swelling.😢
That's the update for now. Can barely even type because this eye is driving me crazy...😛
Kisses....
