Hey everyone, 😁
I made it through surgery yesterday too. Going in today to get the tampons removed. Everything went fine, except I’ve got massive bruising and I'm swollen as hell right now. 😲
Hey, and big kiss to you, Paul Sullivan88 😍
rustygardener172 said:Exactly. I’ve been thinking the same thing... That’s why I’m going to the top expert in health first, then worrying about aesthetics. I'm leaning toward... Dr. Baker... he’s the chief for a reason. I’ve been through surgery before using my insurance, and honestly, looking at how things turned out (since I have to go back), even those specialists weren't exactly 🙂 Nothing is guaranteed these days... maybe if you pay up...

Look, I don't want people thinking I'm shilling for Dr. Smith, but seriously—he specialized in facial and neck surgery and ENT, so he knows everything there is to know about noses. 😁
[QUOTE=Paul Sullivan88;25146089]You probably won't even show up until Tuesday... and you'll have a whole new nose by then!!! 😁
I'm counting down the days too!

Obviously I'm thinking about you, you're my best bud! 😂

And don't sweat it, you're in great hands with a real pro!

How you doing? You scared? Or just hyped?

Ugh... terrifying. 😲I can't wait for Monday. I'm done. My brain is fried and my head is pounding from all this crap. 😁
Glad you're thinking of me. 😉I'll hit you up Monday once this is all over. 😛

Get lost. 🙂
driftingsurfer96 said:Public hospitals always keep those swabs in for five days. You’re stuck there until they pull it out. Private clinics will try to torpedo you and ship you home the second you wake up from surgery. Different procedures, different rules...

I know that 😁
northernpanther12 said:Just finished my surgery. That’s it. Never again. This recovery is absolutely brutal—I feel like I’m losing my mind. And honestly? I don't get people who go back for two or three follow-up surgeries. It’s not that I’m scared or anything, but five days with nasal packing? That is pure hell.🙂

Look, with Dr. Smith, you’re stuck with nasal packing for 3 to 5 days. If you go to the cosmetic surgeon, they pull them out after just 24 hours. 😁Look, just hang in there. You've already hit rock bottom. 🙂
northernpanther12 said:I didn't get cosmetic surgery, but a guy in my room did. It wasn't anything crazy, but he got a "bravery shot" half an hour before they rolled him in. You feel great from it, then they move you to the table, the doctor starts talking, and the next thing you know, you're waking up outside the OR 😁 (didn't go to ICU, I was the only one who didn't need it). Got two IV bags, and two hours later I was basically marching down the hallway 😁. Sleeping? Zero out of ten. My lips are cracked like crazy and I've sneezed about 800 times already. But whatever, no pain. Just change the gauze regularly and you're set 🙂. ☕

If you guys want to know anything else, just ask!!!!

Thanks for the info 🙂, but honestly, as long as there's no pain, it's fine. This will all pass 😁
northernpanther12 said:Yeah, I am. My septum is a mess. 😁 Still stuck at the hospital.☕

So, did you actually go through with the cosmetic procedure or what? Give us the rundown—was it brutal or what? 😁Well, at least you finally got rid of it. 😁Get well soon. 🙂
northernpanther12 said:Dr. Mengele 😂

So, did you actually get nose surgery😁
?
Kate Thompson45 said:Dragaaaaa, of course I'm pulling for you! Just one more week... it'll be over before you know it, trust me.
It’s gonna be awesome, I'm sure of it. 😉

Thanks a lot. 🙂It’ll be over quick. This time next Monday, I’ll be on the operating table. 😲Honestly, I'm starting to feel the panic setting in. 😁
rustygardener172 said:Hey everyone.
I’ve been lurking here for a while now. Read every single post in this thread. Honestly? Some helped me out, but some just made things worse. 😁 It’s pretty obvious why I’m posting here... I’m planning on getting nose surgery myself, obviously. 👍 I'm not scared of surgery, and I'm definitely not worried about recovery. My only real issue is finding a specialist who actually knows what they're doing so I end up happy with the results. I’ve had one procedure before through my insurance—can't remember exactly which year—but I know I was stuck in a hospital bed watching the England-USA game. We lost that one thanks to a bad call by the ref, which I'm sure the guys on here remember. 😁 My nose isn't big or hooked, it’s just crooked. I went under the knife at the hospital to fix a deviated septum because I could barely breathe. Sure, the surgery fixed my breathing, but they didn't touch the shape of my nose. In fact, it’s actually getting worse. As the years go by, the bend gets more extreme. Pretty soon, my nose tip is going to merge right into my ear. 🤣 I can barely breathe anymore. Did some digging online, and turns out the surgery I need is called rhinoseptoplasty. According to Dr. Smith’s website, it’s basically the heavy hitter of nose jobs because it handles everything—the looks and the breathing functionality at once.
To cut to the chase... here’s my question: since I’m out in San Diego, I want to know before I even bother booking an initial appointment—do any of the doctors mentioned actually reply to emails? I was thinking about sending over a few photos first to see who responds, then I'll decide who to see. After reading through all your posts, I’ve "narrowed" my list down to Baker, Smith, and Thompson... though Miller and Garcia haven't totally dropped off my radar yet. And yeah, that's why I put "narrowed" in quotes... because it's still a pretty big group. 😕 🤷
Thanks in advance for any input.

I'm with Paul Sullivan88 on this one. I know from experience that Dr. Smith actually replies to emails.😉

Paul Sullivan88, you better be rooting for me. I’ve officially started the countdown.😛

I can't believe it.... 😁 😁 😁 I'm beyond happy 😁

glad to hear it🎉, swelling is normal and it'll go down fast😉
Kimberly Baker13 said:Did anyone catch Ms. Gotovac on CNN today? She just had nose surgery from Glumičić, so we’ll see how it turns out in a few days (can't leave us hanging 🙂). Honestly, her nose was fine before...

I saw her 😁, let's see if it works out. It'll probably be fine, but her nose wasn't actually okay before. She had a bump and it looked off on the left side 😁, so this will likely fix it 😍
Kimberly Baker13 said:I basically already cleared it with Glumičić and Ostojić for April. Just gotta give them a heads-up a few days before. Why am I leaning toward Glumičić? Honestly, I just know some people who went to him and had zero issues. As for how perfect the noses turn out... that’s subjective. Some people don't even know what they actually want. Me? I definitely want 🙂 Plus, his reputation helps. A ton of celebrities have gone to him and all that. I haven't personally known anyone who went to Ostojić, but looking at the before-and-after shots for both, Ostojić’s results look way better—smaller and more refined. The only thing I've noticed on this forum is that more people seem to complain about post-op complications when they go to him.

From what I can tell, only one person here seems unhappy with Dr. Ostojić. As for the celebrities, the doctor won't name names, but in that massive pile of photos, I caught a shot of Simonica who did her nose and lips with him. 😍
Kimberly Baker13 said:Jupa! I'm not the only freak here starting threads like twenty times a day!🙏

No way, no way... who are you even visiting, and when?
It won't let me use emojis.
Kate Thompson45 said:Everything's gonna be great! 😁
Only 11 days left, huh?! You hyped? Checking this thread 20 times a day? 😂

Man, 11 more days... I've stopped counting because I'm freaking out😢. I'm checking this thread constantly🤣. Ugh, I just want it to be tomorrow so this is over, but... it'll get here fast enough😁.
Kate Thompson45 said:My nose looks fine in some shots, but in others... it's a disaster.😢

Same deal here😁. I'm just worried about my profile view😂. Hopefully, they get it sorted out😍
Rebecca Gomez37 said:With Glumicic, you’re looking at 1800 bucks, guaranteed.👍
That sounds like the standard average to me...
Some charge way more, like Zambelli or Zgaljardic. Mine was 2000 bucks with my doc in St.
If that price from Smith is legit, I'm shocked.🤷
They all work together, and since you get an anesthesiologist, techs, and nurses alongside the surgeon during general anesthesia, that explains why the total bill is so high.

Look, I'm going to see Smith, like I already told you.😁 The price for general anesthesia is 11k$167—that's the real number. He has a full crew behind him, too: anesthesiologist, tech, scrub nurse... the whole works.😍

Heh, just realized that now.😵
