gentlemaker46 said:Yeah, go to Ostojić and he'll just mess you up even worse while charging you an arm and a leg$3.75. I went to a different doctor for a second opinion and here's the deal—my right rib didn't heal right, it basically slumped, leaving this gap like it cracked. He stripped away way too much cartilage that actually needs to be rebuilt with a graft, and the supports aren't sitting right... basically, I'm looking at another surgery costing $2,500. So now what? Every time I think about going under the knife again, facing that long recovery and doing it all over, I wonder if it'll even work this time. Anyone got advice or some actual comfort to offer?

Did Ostojić screw you over too? I have an appointment scheduled with him, so I need the real story. If anyone's been in his chair, tell me exactly what happened, please.🙏
Hannah Newman42 said:It’s been about nine days since my surgery and my nose still looks huge. I get that there's swelling, but does anyone know how much more it’ll go down? I read somewhere someone said just another 5%. I’m hoping for a bigger drop. What’s your experience? It’s smaller than before and flatter, but not by much, and it's not perfectly straight. I told the doctor I want it smaller, shorter, and straighter. I want it way smaller—shrink it! Can I actually hope for that? Help me out here. Give me some comfort.

Who was your surgeon?
The swelling's gotta go down, it's still super fresh right now. 😉😉
Joseph Edwards31 said:Yeah, you've got a hump.

..that's not a hump, but surgery is still necessary....😁
rowdyrider21 said:I sent you a DM too, but I guess it didn't go through because I keep getting an error message.
I just had my mold removed today, and honestly, Google, 😲 😲 I'm stoked!!! My nose is a bit swollen, everything feels tight, and I've got massive dark circles under my eyes from the swelling, but that'll settle down soon. Even now, I'm already loving the results! 🎉 🎉

Never got anything😛
Glad things went well for you.👍 Let me know if you used local anesthesia, how long the wait was, etc.—basically, give me all the details. 😛
You can just hit me up in the DMs. 😉
rowdyrider21 said:I had my surgery with Dr. Smith, and there’s zero info on what he actually did. I'd love some clarity. 🤷 (I'll ask him next time)

Look, just tell me straight—are you happy with Smith? I'm thinking about booking him too. 😉
gentlemaker46 said:I had this bump before too. Just when I thought it was finally gone, here it is again. It’s smaller now, but it’s still growing. I called him yesterday and he told me to come in next week so he can take a look, but then he hits me with—"I can't do anything for you until a year has passed, and every surgery carries risks, maybe something else won't turn out right." Just imagine... Look, I get that every surgery has risks. I accept that. But I paid for a better nose, plain and simple. If he couldn't deliver what I paid for, he should've told me right from the start.

Man, that is seriously shady of him.😢
Honestly, I'm speechless...🤷
gentlemaker46 said:I went to see him myself, and I’ve still got a bump on my nose eight months later. Think twice. Maybe you'll get lucky and everything clears up, but if it doesn't, he isn't going to admit he messed up. He's just playing me for crazy in the most subtle way possible.

Yeah, but what I really want to know is if you had a hump on your nose before the surgery. I don't have one, but I'm just looking to shorten mine a bit.😁
No matter what happens, he needs to own his mistake and make it right with you.🤷
rowdyrider21 said:Yeah, I'm going with general anesthesia. Told him straight up I wanted general. He mentioned local was an option, but said 90% of patients opt for general because it's easier on us and way less work for him too. $667 costs more, but I don't want to remember a single thing about this surgery. I don't want any bad memories hanging around. 😛

😁
I'd probably go local. I think I can handle it, haha.🤣
Keep me posted on everything, thanks.😉
rowdyrider21 said:I went in for tests today—blood work (a few vials), then lung and heart scans. I’ve got an appointment at the hospital this Friday to go over all the results. I didn't get many referrals; I honestly expected way more 🤷. The doctor mentioned I could get it done through his clinic within a block of the office, but it'll run me about $467. Alternatively, I can just use the referrals from my primary care physician. It's cheaper that way, and since I don't live in NYC anyway, this works fine for me. 👋

Hey, why are you going under general anesthesia if you need all that done anyway? I'd just opt for local 😛
Can you choose those tests yourself, or does the doctor decide everything?😍
rowdyrider21 said:I’m scheduled for Monday. They pushed me forward a bit because I told them I wanted it ASAP for certain reasons. Won't be waiting long though—maybe a week or two at most. 😕 I’m happy with my doctor. He’s super polite, and the nurse is great too. He asked what I wanted to change about my nose, then walked me through exactly what he could do, the risks, the surgery itself, and the recovery process. He covered everything in detail. The consultation took just over half an hour.
And I guess we just have to sit around and wait for Monday to roll around, too. ☕ 🙂 🙂

Sweet.😉
Glad to hear it. Now I'm wondering about the research part—you planning on doing those searches with him or somewhere else?😁
Keep me posted on everything. I’m definitely heading over to see him. Fingers crossed for Monday.😉
😉
rowdyrider21 said:I decided on Ostojic too. I've got my consultation tomorrow. 🎉 When's your surgery? You already on the schedule?

😉
Not scheduled yet. Planning on next month.😁
Glad you're going to him too😉. Let me know how it goes and what the waitlist looks like.😁
I decided on Dr. Ostojic.😉
Not sure why, but I'm going. Did some digging into his work and it seems legit.🙂
Susan Watson31 said:Sadly, this wasn't my first time going under the knife, but it was definitely the best experience yet. I can't recommend Dr. Tončić enough. He and his entire team are top-tier—super skilled, professional, and just genuinely kind people. I could go on, but I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea... anyway, I just took the cast off and I'm so happy I actually teared up driving home. My nose looks amazing already and fits my face perfectly; you can't even tell I had surgery...
We all get to decide when, where, and how much we want to fix our noses, and I'm just glad I made this choice. Honestly, feels like a new chapter in my life is starting today. I'm finally done with this insecurity and moving past it. Yeah, I feel free and happy again...

So glad you're happy😉👋👋👋
vividfox said:I think the photo is decent enough to show it looks great and perfectly straight 😁
bravo!! 🙂 It was worth it!! 😍

The nose is totally straight. The photo isn't great for seeing how everything fits into her profile and all that, but I get why Laura Booth6 can't take a perfect shot yet since she's still swollen. For now, we're happy with the result, even if the picture could be better.😛
Laura Booth6 said:Here’s the photo. Did the best I could:

Thanks everyone!!!! :cerek:

vividfox—I had a couple too! 😬

How much can I see? It looks great.🙂
Come on, take a bigger picture. I can't tell. Without seeing your full face, I can't judge the nose-to-face ratio. I see there's no bump, which is great, but I still can't get a good look at the actual size.🙂
Still, I think it's great. Honestly, I'm pretty stoked about it.😉
Susan Watson31 said:I couldn't even get the forum to load yesterday. Probably just some server issues, nothing else went wrong...
So my nose is fine. Honestly, I'm shocked by how little pain there is. Yesterday some darker circles showed up under my eyes, but that's totally normal. All in all, this was way easier and better than I expected. For anyone still stalling on getting their nose fixed (even though you want to), don't sweat it. Once Dr. Tončić pulls the packing out of my nose, the only annoying thing left—dry mouth—should finally clear up.

Glad things are going well for you too, especially the zero pain part🙂,speedy recovery😉
ladies, post pics😍
Laura Booth6 said:I couldn't even get my laptop working, and then the forum went down on me too..

Got the mold downloaded—the print looks incredible now!! Bryan Reed4, I'll email it to you, might post it here later once I actually feel like editing the photo. 😁 😍

Still feeling a little buzzed and rocking some purple-green bruises, but honestly, I'm on cloud nine. Plus, my dog is coming over today, life is good!! 🙂

🙂

Really glad everything worked out fine.👍
After all that hassle, it was worth it. Good luck and enjoy the pup. 😉
Sophia Doyle53 said:Yeah, you'll get it. 😁That local boost is awesome, at least for me.

When are you getting your nose fixed?

I'm thinking sometime in November😉,once it cools down a bit and I can actually stay home more easily.😁
Right now I'm just building up the nerve. Who knows, maybe I'll pull the trigger sooner.😍
Sophia Doyle53 said:I used local anesthesia. 😁 And what about you? What's your move? 😁

I'd take the local boost too. Honestly, I'm kinda terrified of the alternative. 😲
Brian Adams3

Did you go under local or general anesthesia for your surgery?🙂
