I’ve got the Premium version. It was running as a trial when I first noticed this, but even though it’s fully activated now, it keeps showing the exact same thing.
Looks like I'm definitely not the only one dealing with this, right?
http://www.isitdownrightnow.com/malwarebytes.org.html — you can clearly see here that plenty of other people are running into these same issues.
Could this be some kind of virus lurking on my computer, or is it actually an issue on their end?

I tried all of the suggested steps for my Chrome browser and the browser is able to access your web site OK, but your application program "Malwarebytes Premium" still gives me the error message that it cannot access your server to update itself.

Even after running ADW, I'm still getting the exact same error message... seriously, what's the deal with this?

So, honestly, just give it a shot and see if you can track down those drivers... and then once you've done that, maybe try something else? I mean, my Start menu just completely vanished on me, and I have no clue if that actually has anything to do with the graphics card or if it's just some weird Windows bug acting up, but hey, give it a whirl and let me know how it goes, okay?

Is that really the Dell Latitude E-series you're talking about? I honestly can't tell if it's just a regular 250 or the G1 version or what... I’m totally lost when it comes to laptops since I've never actually owned one, especially not a Dell Latitude.

Look, if that's definitely the machine, then you just grab all the drivers and go—why are you even overthinking this? Just make sure you check if your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit first!
You don't even really need all that diagnostic stuff or extra software.
It is kind of weird that Windows didn't just hunt down the drivers for you automatically... hmm.

And for heaven's sake, you have the Snipping Tool right there on your screen, so why on earth are you taking pictures of the monitor with your phone?

Anyway, somewhere in those specs it has to list the specific components inside the laptop, which basically gives you the answer to which drivers you need.
Since I don't know exactly which parts are tucked away in there, and it's way too late for me to be digging through manuals right now, just search for the specific component names online.

Basically, you just need the exact model name and the operating system you're running (like Windows 7 32-bit).

Hope that helps you out a bit.
Honestly, you probably would've gotten a much better answer if it wasn't already 3:00 AM...😍 I'll swing back by this thread tomorrow and we'll see how things are looking.

mellowtiger83 said:It’s a killer build, seriously! Though, I gotta ask, why on earth did you go with that tiny Zalman case??

Exactly my thoughts.

Timothy Kim60 said:Well, look, the board is mATX, the GPU fits perfectly fine, and it's got USB 3.0... Honestly, if you look at other cases for that kind of cash, they aren't even better quality or more feature-packed, they're just probably bigger.

But wouldn't it be better to just get a larger one so there's actually some breathing room? Plus, a standard MIDI tower looks way cleaner, and you can find them for next to nothing these days.

Aside from that, those mini cases always look so cramped and claustrophobic to me.

You’ve actually got some pretty solid alternatives to Office if you're running Linux - https://www.openoffice.org/dev_docs/setup-linux.html - check out OpenOffice.

Man, how old are you even..? Like 12..? Seriously, looking back at all your posts, I’m starting to think you’re maybe 12 or 13 at most...

It definitely helps with performance.

It’s just like back in the XP days, you seriously have to go in and tweak all those annoying little settings yourself.
Just head over to Computer>properties>and look for the adjust visual options menu on the side... kind of like what you see in the screenshot.....
BTW, that thing you're talking about is just TRANSLUCENT SELECTION RECTANGLE

The big reason your card is dragging is that DDR3 memory... honestly, I've got a 1GB GDDR5 setup and I am totally stoked with it,

That’s basically my whole setup right now. Honestly, I really need to swap out that graphics card, so can you guys help me find the perfect match for my processor? I just want to squeeze every last bit of performance out of this computer, you know?

Wait, is that card running on GDDR5 or GDDR3?
I’m rocking an HD6670 1GB DDR5 myself, paired with a 6790K overclocked to 4.3GHz and 4GB of RAM, and honestly, it handles everything I throw at it. If things get slow, I’ll just pick up another card later, but for now, games run just fine.

Jason Cook30 said:Hey everyone, so I'm running into this massive headache with Windows 7. Every single time I boot up my laptop, it tries to run an update installation right at startup, but of course, they never actually finish installing! Instead, the whole thing just reverts back to the old settings, crashes, and restarts, so it takes me like five minutes just to get into Windows every single time I turn it on. Is there any way to stop this endless loop of updates failing to install every time I start up? Does anyone have a fix for this?? Thanks in advance! 😉

Look, if that doesn't fix it, try going into Windows Update and unchecking the boxes or clearing out whatever shows up as failed. Honestly, I'm guessing you might be running a non-genuine version of Windows 7, which would explain why those updates are hitting a wall, but personally, I only dealt with this kind of glitch once, so maybe try what I suggested first... and if that doesn't work... 🤷

WINDOWS 7 GOD MODE!!! ... you basically get access to a massive pile of settings all at once. Just create a new folder and name it GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

1. MSI MAG B550
2. 500GB Toshiba HDD
3. 2x4GB 1600mhz
4. NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti
5. Intel Core i5-3470 3.60GHZ X4
6. Standard Power Supply

I just finished getting Windows 10 Pro set up and I'm sitting at the desktop right now. I'm gonna try installing Call of Duty: Battlefield later on... hopefully this thing can actually handle it. I'll let you guys know how the graphics look on max settings once I get it running.

Also, could someone maybe explain how SLI/Crossfire works? I'm a bit lost there.

🤷
Man, this setup is honestly kind of rough, first off, why on earth didn't you grab a card with GDDR5 memory instead? And that power supply... wtf????? How many watts are we even talking about here? Seriously...🙂

Zachary Smith2 said:I've already got a case and a power supply, but I guess I could swap them out for something actually decent if needed. Right now, I'm running this 500GB Toshiba hard drive. I did a little digging online, and apparently, an HD 6670 is supposed to be the sweet spot for performance with this CPU. I’d probably drop most of my cash $1333 on that. Also, is this hard drive kind of a joke just because it was the cheapest one they had?

I'm guessing they're talking about SLI/Crossfire, you know, like when you run the 6670 alongside the integrated graphics at the same time?

So, I'm currently rocking an HD6670 with 1GB of DDR5, and honestly, I can pretty much run most stuff on High at 1280x1024... it’s definitely not breaking any speed records, but hey, it gets the job done! I've been thinking though, maybe it's time to grab a slightly beefier processor, you know, something starting with a 6

Sometimes I totally lose track of who actually started the thread, and then I find myself scrolling all the way back up to the very first post just to figure it out. 😠 It makes such a massive difference in discussions where everyone is specifically replying to the person who kicked things off.
On some other forums, they actually put an "OP" tag right next to the username.

CPU: Intel Core i5, FM2 socket, 3.8GHz, 4MB cache, Quad-core, about $217

Motherboard: I'm looking at either an ASUS or an MSI board—which one of those is actually going to be better for me? 🤷about $160

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX, 1GB GDDR5/128-bit, PCIe 3.0, D-Sub/Single-link DVI-D/HDMI (GV-R725OC-1GI), roughly $250

Power Supply: Something in the 450-500W range—just as long as it doesn't go over $133

RAM: 4GB DDR3 (single 4GB stick) from Kingston, 1600MHz, CL9, HyperX, KHX1600C9D3B1 $133

Cooler: A 92mm ZAL-CNPS5x PERFORMA CPU cooler, maybe around $50

Case: A Thermaltake MIDI tower, probably near $83

This all came out around $1000 🙂

I’ve got a few things on my mind here... do you think a 400W power supply is going to be cutting it, or is that actually way too much $333 for the graphics card? Is there maybe something a little easier on the wallet that isn't going to tank my performance? Also, does the shipping and assembly come free, or am I looking at extra fees? From what I can tell, buying from Micro Center is going to cost me an arm and a leg... I'm living out in Savannah where we don't really have many tech shops around, so I'm probably going to head over to Best Buy to check out their prices before I get back to you,,, thanks so much for the help!

The hard drive uses SATA, but the burner is using PATA...
Well, look, it’s really not that big of a deal if I just end up grabbing a new burner since they aren't compatible anyway, right?
