Ladies, I’m starting to get a little worried... I was just reading on another forum 😁 about how some women end up developing these little bumps. I wanted to ask those of you who went to Tony Soprano if you noticed anything like that after your surgery? Here is what one woman wrote about it:
A bone callus can show up after a rhinoplasty if an osteotomy (bone breaking) was performed. It feels somewhat like cartilage, but it's actually just young bone cells. Once the bones are broken, the body tries to "patch" the gap by creating new bone tissue—sometimes it overdoes it just to be safe, which results in a visible bump. Over the course of two to three months, the body sends calcium to the fracture site, and the callus hardens.
Inexperienced plastic surgeons love to blame a bad rhinoplasty result on a callus. In reality, it’s quite rare.
But it does happen. One patient shared her experience: “For the first three months after surgery, my nose looked perfect, and I was so happy. At first, the bump was tiny—just a little nub—but after a while, it started growing, and it happened really fast. The Surgeon kept trying to reassure me, saying it was just swelling. But eight months later, my nose looked bumpy and had started to droop...”

😢 help

Heh, I already had the movie *Hostel* on my mind, too. (P.S. I hope you haven't actually watched it.) 😁

I know it's still early days and things will shift, but it looks great already—it's only day five post-op. 😍

CONGRATS! 😁 😁 😁 😁

The local anesthesia was actually fine for me; I didn't feel any pain, though I felt a little buzzed. I could still hear everything and follow along with whatever I wanted. I guess if you don't feel the need to know every single thing happening, you can just stay in your own little world... so just relax.

It's pretty strange how some people feel restrained and others don't 😁 but hey, you have every right to just relax. The most important things are that it doesn't hurt and that you can be in your own world instead of following every detail 😁
Maria Hall92 said:stormyharbor2 already gave you an answer, but yeah—they basically put a pulse oximeter on your finger so you can monitor your heart rate. 🙂
You’ll have an IV line running, but I guess you won't actually feel anything while the surgery is going on.
I guess you're just wasting your time. 😁 Instead of worrying about how your nose is going to look, maybe you should just focus on whether the sound system in the hall is going to start making that annoying "beep beep beep" noise. 😁

It really has to work out, because if it doesn't, Tončić is basically done. 😁 I might just kill him, haha. 😁
I'm just kidding, obviously... though what do I know? I guess it just feels like a safety thing. A guy I know was telling me about his surgery—he was under local anesthesia—and at one point, he felt it weaken, almost like he could feel his pulse racing in waves. His anesthesiologist ended up giving him another dose through the IV, and then things settled back down to a normal pace. 🙂 I was actually a little worried if my own heart rate would start dropping too. 😍
Ashley Gomez said:My heart rate was spiking between 145 and 150 beats per minute. 😲 If I had been able to, I probably would have grabbed something from that table; I just completely panicked.

isss I guess it might be the same for me😁 what a coward I am🤣
Carol Diaz31 said:Of course they’re going to restrain you.☕ When I was hospitalized for a while, the nurses used restraints quite often. After surgery, because general anesthesia can cause hallucinations, they might try all sorts of things, like pulling at IV lines. It's all for your own safety, I guess.😁 😉

They put you on that monitor... and you stay on it after the procedure. I remember lying there, listening to the rhythm as I drifted off, only to hear it getting slower and weaker. It makes you think you might actually be dying before you wake back up.😁 🤣 😂

Haha, my heart rate is probably going to hit a hundred beats per minute the second I hit the table.😁
stormyharbor2 said:YES.

YES.

Thanks stormyharbor2, I honestly thought you only did it under general anesthesia. I guess it's not that bad... though the tying 😲 🙂)
Maria Hall92 said:Fair enough, that was after the shot in the butt. 🙂 Even if it isn't, they have to tie things up. It's not like you're out in a combat zone or anything. 😁 Haha, I guess there's no point worrying about something that stupid. 😁

When I was caught. 😁
So, I have a bit of a weird question... do they actually put you on that machine where you can hear your own heartbeat? 😛
One more thing—do they put that needle in your hand during surgery? You know, the one in the vein, if you know what I mean. 😁 ?
I think I know what you're thinking... she’s probably watched way too many movies. 😍 I guess I'm just one of those people who needs to know every single detail. Everything seems to weigh on me. 😲 🙂
Yeah... and thanks for putting up with me. 😁
Maria Hall92 said:They work for me... but they have to... I mean, imagine accidentally punching yourself in the nose during surgery..

Isusek 😲 how did you manage that? Were you already high at the time? 😁
velvetrider18 said:Hey ladies, I’ve been lurking here for a while, but this is my first time actually posting. I finally pulled the trigger on nose surgery this year, and I came here looking for advice. After a lot of back and forth, I ended up choosing Dr. Tony. Today is my seventh day post-op, and I just got the cast off! I am sooooo happy!! The result is better than I expected. There's some yellowing under my eyes and the nose is a bit swollen, but overall, it's great. I have to say, the local anesthesia wasn't scary at all—it was actually kind of interesting. The whole team was wonderful, and the young surgeon who did the procedure was phenomenal. I can't wait for the swelling to go down to see the final look!

Could you tell me one thing? I heard they tie your hands... did they tie yours too 😲?
driftingmoose47 said:To be honest, I’ve heard all sorts of stories too, but the desire just outweighed everything else. I guess the thing is, it's almost like being on drugs—you feel and hear things differently, and then you're just indifferent to it all. Even afterward, it's the same because you can't really think straight. It isn't like going to the dentist where there's actual pain; it’s more like you’re fully aware of what's happening, but you're just in your own little world. You're relaxed, nothing hurts, and it doesn't feel traumatic at all. When I woke up, it was like nothing had even happened—just a bandage on my nose and I was ready to head home. Nothing special, really. 👍

Comforting 😁 thanks 😍
driftingmoose47 said:To the ladies who were feeling under the weather lately, bravo. I hope you have a quick recovery; things should settle down once the worst of it passes. 👍 Just wanted to weigh in regarding Tony's anesthesia. For me, it worked out fine; it was local-based, but I honestly didn't see, hear, or feel a single thing. Looking at these posts, I guess it seems like it's mostly just the younger crowd getting surgery lately.😕 The question remains: has anyone actually dealt with fixing Tony's botched nose job? I'm trying to decide if I should go through with him for my own procedure. 🤷

I was just talking to one of the girls on here about anesthesia. I guess the issue in America might just be how much people panic about it. 😁 Maybe you could just try to push it out of your mind—to forget it, feel it, or whatever helps. I don't know how things are going on your end, but if I hadn't read a few negative stories about that local situation, I’d probably be feeling much calmer right now. Instead, I can't stop dreaming about it at night. 😁 😁

🙂 Congrats!! 😍
Ashley Gomez said:I figured I should share some good news with you guys too. 😍

I had my surgery yesterday, and the doctor says the nose looks great. 😍 There's no pain, just a little bit of nasal bleeding, and I'm still figuring out how to deal with the nasal swabs—my husband is actually better at it than I am. 😁

The only thing is, I can't remove the tampons until Friday, 😢 but I get the splint off on Saturday.

Overall, I'm pretty happy so far. It’s been much easier than I expected.

Congrats!! 😍
What kind of anesthesia did they use, and which surgeon did you go with?
Here's another one, I guess. LOL

I'd kiss Glumicic right on his butt right now!
It's still swollen, my nostrils look pretty thick and uneven, and the bridge is wide, but it's only been 6 days! I told myself if things don't settle down in 6 months, then I might start worrying.😍
My sister says it just looks "deformed" because of the tape and the splint, and that it'll improve.

But honestly, it's great. The profile and front views look excellent. Even my friend said she was expecting a "plastic" looking nose, but that it looks totally natural and fits my face perfectly.
(I know she's my friend, but she swears she's being objective)

Gonna go pass out for a bit, then grab a drink!

🙂🙂 Congrats girl, we need pictures! 😍😍
Maria Hall92 said:Hey everyone, I just took the mold off and I have to say, it was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE !!! I mean, my dream actually came true—Tony did such an amazing job on my nose! 🙂 Just a heads up, Dan was my surgeon—he's a young doctor, but he worked alone and everything turned out so much better than I even expected. 😉 Rachel Fisher97, you should definitely go for it; you have my full recommendation. 😁 I'm honestly just so happy. 😍😍😍

🙂🙂🙂🙂
Did you ladies take the mold out yet?? Good luck today everyone!! Let me know how it goes :*
rustygardener172 said:As if... they’d probably hire someone else before they'd ever consider their own son... NOT.

And that's just facts. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I have zero interest in being "taught a lesson" by someone else. People always fall back on that old trope about being older or more experienced, but honestly? I'm mostly interested to see if this younger generation can actually build some genuine trust. In my view, that's really the deciding factor in all of this.
