Totally agree Between all the driver issues and how unstable Windows 10 can be with its constant Googles You just didn't deal with this kind of headache back on the good old days of Windows 7, and honestly, they just shut it down
So, I’m running an Nvidia GTX 1660 6, and while I don't have that specific issue, something else just popped up on my end: Live kernel event 141 error And now, it’s basically bricking all my games. For instance, Tsv.exe is being blocked from accessing the graphics hardware.
It’s happening with every single game I try to play.
Everything is fully updated. The drivers are from Winsi I even did a clean reinstall of Windows along with that MSI checker tool. I’ve got Defender disabled too.
The PC is pretty much brand new. Windows is freshly installed.

I had that exact same issue once where my screen just went black on my desktop setup. Back then, it was still under warranty, so I took it into the service center. At first, we thought maybe the graphics card was shot, but after they checked the Microsoft memory and both hard drives, everything seemed totally fine. Then they finally tested the motherboard and—bingo. Once they swapped out the dead motherboard, it worked like a charm. It lasted about five years before both hard drives gave up on me—the primary one first, then the secondary. Honestly, it wasn't even worth trying to fix them since it was a ten-year-old Star Wars themed build, but oh well, I've got a brand new rig now anyway.
Zulu, you're totally right. They’re pretty much identical—the only real difference is a slightly weaker processor and a bigger SSD. But honestly, I've never seen them go on sale at Best Buy for more than they are now.
IBM, regarding the DVD drive... I actually just went out and bought my own at Best Buy a while back for about $100. The one built into my old computer was useless; it couldn't even recognize discs with DRM protection, let alone read them properly. But then I got this newer external DVD drive, and it worked like a charm! It still works perfectly today—it reads everything, whether it's original discs or burned ones (music, photos, important docs). I mostly used it for movies and music, but I had to get it because my old setup couldn't run things, especially right when Sims 3 first came out.
So, you should be able to trigger Safe Mode by tapping the F8 key right when the initial startup logo pops up—basically, start hitting F8 just before the Windows logo appears and keep at it until the Safe Mode option shows up on the screen.

That actually happened to me once too, though my GPU was totally fine. I had my motherboard sent off for repair and they initially suspected the graphics card. They tried swapping in a different one, but nothing changed. Turns out, it was a faulty motherboard due to a manufacturing defect. Since it was still under warranty, they just swapped the whole board out for a new one, and everything’s been running perfectly since then.
Flip the laptop upside down, but be careful with it Check if there's a sticker on the bottom with a long string of numbers. If you find one, that's your Command Key. Even if they have to reinstall Windows, they can just reactivate it using that number, so you won't have to go out and buy a whole new license.
Probably the hard drive. If you're constantly getting BSODs or black screens, that hard drive is going to hunt you down forever. Everything I just said applies. And honestly, even if the hard drive passes a diagnostic test, it doesn't mean everything is actually okay. It’s true—my own hard drive passed the stress test on Success, and yet, it still kicked the bucket anyway. It's much better for the hard drive to die than the motherboard. You can swap out a hard drive easily, but if the motherboard in a laptop dies? Bye-bye, laptop. With a laptop, I can pretty much only upgrade the RAM and the hard drive; you can't exactly swap out the graphics card or the motherboard.

Did you actually plug your headphones into the right port? Check all the jacks, try them one by one, and just keep testing until you finally hear sound. Also, double-check your settings—if they work fine when you plug them into your phone, then the headphones aren't the issue; you probably just need to tweak some software settings. And you really have to find the correct port. If you pick the wrong one, you’re going to get nothing but crackling or static. Oh, and make sure to check your audio drivers too! It happened to me a few times where I couldn't hit the right jack. It's no big deal, though—sometimes you nail it on the first try, and sometimes it takes a bit of hunting. 😉

Same here GPU at 65c MB at 60c CPU core 0 at 72 c core 1 at 65 c core 2 at 65c core 3 at 66 c both HDDs at 45 c He’s complaining about temps being at 33 celsius, though. Lol 😛
