Look, I’ve gone through the whole ritual of factory resetting my phone more times than I can count, just hoping it would magically fix things, but it’s still locked tight... honestly, it feels like those two things don't even have anything to do with each other, you know?
bluewolf82 said:Man, I don't know, there've been these random updates popping up for a few days now... I installed some stuff yesterday and today I'm already seeing more updates for Microsoft Lync and Office 2013... I guess the question is if they're tucked away in the Windows update list somewhere... I might have messed something up a little bit 😉
Just grab the fresh driver right here so we don't make this any more complicated than it needs to be: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/pro...Chipset-Family
EDIT damn, turns out that one is actually from 2012 😁
bluewolf82 said:so does this show up in Windows update? I mean, my win update is turned on and everything seems fine, running smooth as silk, nothing weird happening yet. My biggest worry was honestly just my graphics card giving up the ghost anytime soon (that integrated 😠), but I did a little digging on Google and apparently win can get all buggy and unstable... we'll see how it plays out... might end up having to just wipe everything and do a clean reinstall if things go south... 🤔
Look, even if it is enabled, you gotta actually hit that "check for updates" button and see if it finds anything useful... the driver for your graphics should pop up there... if it doesn't, just go grab it manually from the manufacturer's website and call it a day.
Honestly, you could probably fix this without much trouble if you've got Photoshop, but it really all boils down to how crappy the scan quality is... and looking at what you guys posted here, it’s basically impossible to save without a massive amount of grunt work.

But wait, hold on, it’s actually all still there. It's just buried under the users folder 🙂
Look, man, if you installed Mint the standard way, obviously you aren't gonna see all those Windows desktop files just sitting there on the Mint desktop. It doesn't work like that.
Just navigate to your old desktop from within Mint by going to C:\Users\YourUsername\Desktop then just grab your important stuff and drag it onto a thumb drive or something

It seems like you took the advice Larry Ortiz5 gave you way too literally. If you take something like DVD Decrypter, it handles the whole process pretty smoothly by burning that .iso file directly onto a DVD just like it’s supposed to. Basically, it takes the contents of the .iso and turns it into a standard, functional DVD complete with all the necessary files tucked away inside.
Is everything running okay for everyone else? I’ve got this nagging feeling that something is seriously funky with their network setup... honestly, I'm starting to wonder if the LAN chip on my motherboard is just straight-up dying on me...
Carl Moore57 said:The issue is that the DVD or CD-ROM drive isn't showing up on my Computer or anywhere else at all, even though I can hear it mechanically spinning and working
it could be that some cable shook loose from all that rattling, or maybe the circuit board just fried on you check under Device Manager to see if there's even a sign of any CD/DVD drives listed
Hey, could you maybe walk me through exactly how this isn't working? I honestly can't wrap my head around what you just typed there... seriously, give it another read and tell me if that actually makes any sense to you at all?
PS I've got over an hour's worth of cable here and there's zero power running through it.
so if you're staring at a blue screen of death right now, it basically means something in your rig is straight up failing on you... honestly, just back up all your important files immediately before everything goes south and then maybe try swapping out your RAM first (just borrow some from a buddy if you don't have a spare lying around) and see if that fixes it...
it's the same deal with your hard drive, man, so you've just gotta troubleshoot by eliminating things one by one until you find the culprit...
wearybison47 said:So, I guess that's what they call a deep clean. Can someone tell me the actual difference between these two options uninstall and quick uninstall? Which one is better, maybe?
I mean, just look at the names, man—it’s right there in plain English: "delete" versus "fast delete." If you pick the regular uninstall, it's obviously going to be more thorough because it's doing the heavy lifting, it's just basic logic, really. 🙂 😱
maybe give this a shot: just right-click the thing, hit properties > compatibility > check that box for "run this program in compatibility mode for" and just pick Windows XP sp3 > ok, then try launching it again
also, man, you gotta give me more details next time—like, which actual program are we even talking about here?
So, I'm just getting this totally blank error message from explorer.exe? It literally says nothing else, just shows up out of nowhere and then asks me to hit OK. Any idea what's going on?
