Yeah, whatever... PCI is such an old-school slot, you should be able to slide that in without any drama... you won't even need to shell out extra cash because you'll get the same outputs as your onboard audio, just with actual 7.1 surround support instead of that crappy basic stuff. Man, definitely let me know how it goes, I'm dying to find out if the issue is actually your sound card or if your whole home theater setup is just acting up...
Honestly, if you drop about $73 on a decent PCI slot, you’re basically set for life... I picked up my current one like seven years ago and the damn thing still runs perfectly fine without missing a beat... It’s wild how the price hasn't even budged after all this time... http://www.newegg.com/?item=sound-card-example
I mean, I don't even know anymore, maybe you’re just losing your mind a little bit... honestly, just grab yourself a Creative PCI sound card like I did and call it a day. I totally lost my cool with the crappy onboard audio on my motherboard, so I went out and bought one, and now, whenever I upgrade to a new motherboard, I just swap the card over and everything works perfectly... total lifesaver. This is the one I'm rocking:
the way I see it, you should probably just grab these: Operating System Windows Vista x86/ Vista x64/ 7 x86/ 7 x64/ 8 x64/ 8 x86/ 8.1 x86/ 8.1 x64 6.0.1.7164 2014-05-19 198.93 MB
Look, if everything was running smooth before this, just double-check that all your cables are actually seated properly... even if they look plugged in, sometimes one might be sitting a little loose or just feeling kind of dirty, you know? Just give everything a quick once-over and make sure nothing is acting funky.
that laptop was built specifically for Windows 8.1, so you aren't going to find any drivers for Windows 7 anywhere just stick with that and you won't have any headaches, trust me
you could always head over to the site at http://www.acer.com/us/en/content/drivers type in your laptop model and grab the 8.1 drivers to see if they actually work... though honestly, even if they do, I really doubt they'll run smoothly...
You really ought to be leaning on that AMD Radeon HD 7670 m since it's definitely the powerhouse here... from what I gather, those two don't actually play nice together or boost each other's performance at all... just try disabling the Intel one in the BIOS and see if that does the trick
Honestly, I feel like those two are just constantly fighting each other... there’s really no point in having both active at once... if you just go into the BIOS and disable one of them, you can stick with the other one and stop dealing with all this nonsense...
honestly, just get used to the fact that Windows 8.1 is basically a walking pile of bugs... I mean, I deal with a ton of random glitches myself all the time... your best bet is to just run every single Windows update you can find and pray to the tech gods that it actually fixes whatever is breaking on you...
It doesn't necessarily have to be an issue with the graphics card either, honestly... it could just be a faulty ribbon cable connecting the laptop to the display
Honestly, upgrading your sound isn't going to do much for you... those integrated chips aren't really any better than some cheap little sound card you'd find at Best Buy... plus, your speakers actually play a massive role in the whole equation more than people realize...
just go ahead and install Speccy so you can actually see what kind of memory you're working with
Just give it a shot, man, you’ve got nothing to lose. Honestly, even if the website says otherwise, there's a good chance it'll just grab the drivers automatically once you get going. And hey, as long as you turn off all those flashy effects, you'll have plenty of memory to work with. This guy's actually alright

man, I already mentioned this above, you basically have to force it into pairing mode by holding down that power button for a while—or honestly, just check the manual, or if you give me the specific model number I can dig through the web and find out for you... usually, once it actually connects, the pairing code is just 0000 or 1234, or whatever the manual says, but those are pretty much the standard ones people use everywhere.
Honestly, I just hit Ctrl plus or minus in BS Player to tweak the subtitle timing on the fly, and boom—problem solved. Though, usually the player just prompts me to grab some subtitles automatically, and obviously, you just go for whatever one has the highest rating... I don't even bother hunting for subs myself; the thing always finds them and offers them up the second I start a movie or a show.

I picked up this little portable speaker from Belkin and the Wi-Fi sees it, grabs the driver and all that, but that freaking pop-up window for the PIN just won't show up, which is why nothing is actually working.
HELP ME OUT 😵
By the way, the speaker works totally fine when I plug it in with a cable—those 4w are surprisingly loud, honestly, it's crazy how much sound you get out of it
p.s.
whenever I hook the speaker up to my TV, the volume feels like it's stuck at maxed out and I can't find any way to turn the sound down at all🤦
pp.ss.
in the meantime I also realized it won't connect to my new phone, a Samsung Galaxy S series
