I’m not expecting perfection, obviously, but man, I’d be over the moon if it were just me getting the work done without all the extra baggage. And even if it doesn't scream "surgery" in photos, I still feel weird about it. It feels so stupid—I dropped all this cash just to get a slightly smaller nose, and yet it still looks crooked from certain angles. Who did you end up seeing for your procedure? Seriously, tell me everything about how that straightening went. If there's actually a way to fix the tilt, I am 100% in... otherwise, I'm terrified I'll end up looking like some tacky pop star. 🤣I've become totally obsessed with this idea.😂

I actually went to see Glushac, and honestly, I'm pretty stoked with how everything turned out. He delivered exactly what he promised during the consultation.

Ashley Gomez and Kate Taylor59, sending you guys nothing but the best luck!!!!!
driftingmoose47 said:Look, about a month ago—and I’m not saying it's a total disaster right now because honestly, the whole team was amazing to me, they were super professional, the surgery itself went fine, and everything seemed okay. If it came down to it, I’d still go back to him for a second procedure because, looking back, I feel like I partly bear the blame for not being more insistent on certain details. When I first took the cast off, everything felt alright; maybe it could have been a bit smaller, but hey, whatever. But then I take a photo and...😲 from the front, you can clearly see the nose is crooked! It’s just so obvious. It looks pretty deflated, and even though I know swelling takes time, I just know it won't magically straighten itself out perfectly. So yeah, I had a bit of a meltdown and cried for a few days. Eventually, I decided I’ll go back for a revision, but UGH, I really don't want to deal with another recovery period after those first seven days. I'll do it, obviously, but I'm terrified he'll just tell me it looks fine and that I don't actually need another surgery. I have my follow-up in a month, so we'll see what he says. I didn't want to cause a scene with him or stress myself out any sooner than necessary since I can't jump back under the knife immediately anyway, plus I have no clue how much healing time you actually need before a second round. 🤷

It seems like having a crooked nose is what really messes with the final result. Sadly, you can never fully fix a crooked nose because it's all about facial symmetry...
When I was sitting there during my consultation, Tony told me straight up that he couldn't promise a perfectly straight nose. Glushac told me he could fix it without an issue, but warned me it would never be 100% straight because of my specific facial structure. And honestly? He was right. It still leans slightly to one side, just way less than it did before. I'd love for it to be dead straight, but if it's physically impossible, it's impossible. So my advice is... don't just throw money away on a second surgery (if that's the only reason you're going back), instead, just try to make peace with it. 😁
Maria Hall92 said:Ladies, any of you smokers out there? I’m dying for a cigarette right now... It’s been almost two weeks since my surgery, and honestly, a smoke with a beer or a glass of wine sounds like heaven 😁 .. Has anyone here actually smoked after their procedure?

I quit 🙂
...though I still indulge here and there when the craving hits... you know, like having a glass of wine on the weekend 🙂
Sophia Booth35 said:If you think I shouldn't ask yet, well, I was already out drinking last Friday!
But come onnnn, I have to celebrate this. After all that waiting and the sheer amount of stress I've been through, I seriously need to chill out. Plus, I need something to do while I wait until I'm allowed to finally strut around in my new boobs and nose
!!!!!! Do you even stop looking in the mirror since you got back? 😍
Because honestly, I've been busy getting reacquainted with the "new me" for hours now!!!!!!!!!

Wait... how did I miss this? 😁
I seriously need pics of both, haha!
If you aren't showing off the boobs, then just the nose will do, thanks.😁
How are you handling recovering from two procedures at once?
Carol Diaz31 said:I'm gonna be flooding you guys with photos for two big reasons:

1) honestly, every single time I look back at my old nose while I'm sending these pics, I get this massive wave of pure joy. 😂

2) I want to hear people tell me how gorgeous my new nose looks just as many times as I used to hear about how ugly the old one was. 😂

hahahahahaha 🤣 hahahahahahaha 😂
urbanowl13 said:I’ve been wondering about something—for those of you who actually went through with the surgery because you were totally obsessed with your nose or just felt super insecure about it......does that "obsession" actually go away once it's done? You know what I mean—does your confidence just skyrocket instantly? Do you finally feel pretty and satisfied with yourself?
I absolutely loathe my nose (and I’m not being dramatic, it is genuinely hideous), and I’m terrified that even after I get it fixed, I’ll still be stuck with this weird fixation on it!
🙂

Well now... that’s a heavy one. 😁
Personally, I never had a complex about my nose. It wasn't crooked, it wasn't huge... nobody ever pointed it out. But over the years, it started leaning more and more to one side. 😁 Eventually, I noticed it, then other people did too... and they'd make jokes about it, though never to be mean. Plus, breathing was a total nightmare, so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone and just get it fixed.
I don't necessarily think I'm prettier or more satisfied now... I've always been me... but at least I can breathe properly now, hahaha!
But when I really sit down and think about it... clearly, that "nose obsession" didn't just vanish. I'm still hanging out here on this forum even though my surgery was nine months ago. 😁 I still find myself staring at it, wondering if there was something else the surgeon could have done better... and I'm still constantly checking in to see how other surgeons work or looking at everyone else's results.

...speaking of which... Carol Diaz31... did you send me that photo? 😁
Maria Hall92 said:no, it’s not 🙂... things just turn out looking different because my camera quality sucks and my phone photos are honestly trash.. it's just bad.. but ugh, maybe I'll actually send 😁 in about a month once I look a bit more put together, without the dark circles under my eyes and once my nose finally settles down a bit 🙂..
I mean, I’m probably not the best benchmark for how his work turned out since my nose was pretty messed up to begin with—the tip, the sides, plus I had all those old scars from five years ago, so I'm definitely not your "classic" case.. I just wanted him to straighten it out as much as possible, so I wasn't aiming for one of those tiny, cute little button noses 🙂 that's not what I was going for.. but hey, I finally have a nice nose now, which I definitely couldn't say before 🙂

But that’s exactly what you want! You want them to take the nose you had and make it beautiful, not go for some total identity overhaul.
That "natural-looking plastic surgery" vibe totally rules!! 🤣
Maria Hall92 said:Yeah, honestly, what Kate Taylor59 was saying is spot on... it really sucks. I went to take some photos the other day just to show a friend how I looked, and man, they turned out terrible. It looks nothing like how I look in person. It doesn't matter if I use the flash or leave it off, either way, the lighting is just trash. The shadows fall all weirdly on my face and suddenly my nose looks huge or whatever. It's so frustrating. Guilty as charged. Whatever, I’ve officially given up on sending out photos of my new nose. Honestly, if I’m happy with how it looks, that’s what matters most—I mean, we’re always our own harshest critics anyway, right? I don't feel the need to hunt for everyone else's approval just to feel good about it. 🙂Take my word for it. 🙂

So, here’s the deal: I look in the mirror and my nose looks perfectly straight to me, right? No issues. But then I go to check out some photos—maybe a quick selfie or a candid shot from a friend—and suddenly my nose is leaning hard to one side like it’s trying to escape my face. It’s honestly such a trip. It leads you to this one inevitable, slightly existential conclusion: the version of yourself you see in pictures is the actual reality, while the version you see in the mirror is just... a lie your brain is telling you. You think everything is fine, but the camera doesn't care about your self-perception. It’s wild how much our own brains can just totally gaslight us about what we actually look like.

Honestly, there’s zero point in taking a photo of your nose right now—it’s way too swollen to show anything real. You might as well wait at least a month before posting that first shot. That’s about the earliest you’ll actually start seeing some kind of actual result.

I’m basically putting a reservation on your photo because I am dying to see what Tony’s work actually looks like... honestly, he was my first choice when I was looking to book someone. 😉

Oh, I totally forgot to mention one thing: don't worry, everything stays strictly between us. Total discretion guaranteed. 👍
Look, I know you two were both there at their clinic, so obviously you’re going to jump to their defense... but honestly, I don't get why you're playing bodyguard when nobody even attacked them! I wasn't being malicious. And for the record, I never said he landed the job through some shady connection—I just mentioned it’s a family-run business.
Tony's place was actually my first choice, and I still think they're top-tier, but I just couldn't deal with that vibe of uncertainty during my consultation. That’s the only reason I walked away, not because I doubt their expertise.
Anyway, let's just drop this topic because it's pretty clear we're talking past each other 😁

Maria Hall92, I'm glad you're loving that initial look!!!! But if I can give a little unsolicited advice to you and everyone else here who just had surgery... maybe hold off on the celebration for at least a month. You won't see the real results until all that swelling finally goes down. I bet most of the veterans in this group would agree with me.
Good luck to everyone!! 😍
Look, I know I'm totally veering off track here... but let's be real, we all know how things work in America. Most people get hired because they "know someone" rather than actually being the best person for the job. So, honestly, this whole situation with Tony isn't even that shocking. It’s a family business—it makes sense that the son would step into his old man's shoes. But just because his dad is a top-tier surgeon doesn't mean he automatically has those skills. He’s going to have to put in the hours and gain some actual experience to prove himself. Even his father knows that; they've been operating together for years, and he won't just let the kid fly solo on nose surgeries yet. He's keeping him on a short leash, so to speak.
I'm genuinely crossing my fingers that he follows in his father's footsteps—not just by taking the title, but by actually delivering that same level of excellence.
Maria Hall92 said:From what I’ve gathered through the grapevine, my surgeon was actually one of the younger guys on staff... Honestly, I think you all might be blowing things way out of proportion. I mean, come on, they wouldn't just let him fly solo in the OR if they didn't trust his hands, right? There has to be some level of vetted experience there before they give someone that kind of responsibility. I had my pre-op consultations with him, and then when the big day actually rolled around, he was right there again. Before I even got moved onto the table, both him and the senior attending were hovering over me, going through everything for what felt like an absolute eternity. They weren't exactly rushing out the door; they were being incredibly thorough. Trust me, there’s no way in hell he’d be standing there if he actually had a clue what he was doing. He's just winging it, plain and simple.

Oh, please... they’ll hire some random stranger before they even think about giving his own son a shot. Yeah, right! As if that's ever gonna happen.
steelangler88 said:one month

Look, the tip is still going to drop just a tiny bit more, which actually helps everything look much more refined and slimmer. If you’re looking in the mirror and thinking your nose looks huge because of the swelling, don't sweat it... but if you honestly feel like it's massive—like, face-sized massive—then maybe worry. Because once the swelling settles, that's the size you're stuck with. That "outsized" look usually happens right after surgery while everything is still puffed up.
But hey, you already know the drill... this isn't even your first time going under the knife. 😉 One month is way too soon to be spiraling... you've just gotta hang in there. Honestly, I think the waiting game is the absolute worst part of the whole process. 😂
steelangler88 said:soooooooo tiny...... 🙂

How long has it been since the surgery?
I'm ready to go. Just feed me the posts, and I'll get to work turning them into authentic, gritty, American-style commentary while keeping that specific persona intact. No literal translations, no traces of the old setting—just pure, original English prose. Send the first one over. kaže:
Haha... honestly, just toss it in the freezer and call it a day. 🙂Man, I’ve got that too. Honestly, I’m pretty sure it’s something we all deal with at some point. 😁 Heh... what kind of theory are we talking about now? You've actually got my attention. Lay it on me. 😁

Nah, it’s not like that... just keep it in the fridge.

I can’t even remember exactly why, but honestly, I wasn't cut out for that whole eye mask thing either. I’d lean it against my eyes, hold it there for maybe sixty seconds tops, then toss it aside... only to pick it right back up again a minute later. It was just this endless, ridiculous cycle of "on, off, on, off." Total waste of time if you ask me.
Maria Hall92 said:haha, I’ve been lurking on this forum since the beginning... seriously... just look at this. I mean... I don't know, I'm trying not to be judgmental, but honestly, I had a bad feeling about going to him too..

But let’s be real, all four of those women are total perfectionists who are basically addicted to plastic surgery. Not one of them has ever just gone in for a simple nose job or a little lip filler and called it a day. I actually wrote a whole rant about this a few days ago... once you start messing with your tissue like that, it gets deformed. Glumičić isn't to blame for how they ended up looking because nobody can predict how your body is going to react after surgery... the only stupid part is him agreeing to operate on someone who is clearly never going to be satisfied. It's like, "Oh, if I turn them away, they'll just go to some other surgeon..." please, give me a break. Let them go... and half the time, they do. Like we're supposed to believe Zambelli somehow "saved" Severina's nose? In my opinion, there's no saving that nose. You can see the nostrils even from the front!!!!! What else is there to say...
Kate Taylor59 said:hmmm.. I could never bring myself to breathe through my mouth when my nose was stuffed up. It used to drive me absolutely insane, so I’d just reach for the nasal spray. Now? My mucous membranes are totally trashed. 😂

It's a classic story... those membranes can take two or three years to actually recover, provided you stop using the sprays entirely. 😁
I was basically an addict. Seriously, I couldn't leave the house without my lip balm and nasal spray tucked in my purse. If I didn't have them, I wasn't going anywhere. 😁 But since my surgery? I haven't felt the urge to use them even once. Honestly, I feel like one of those people in recovery programs—I can officially say I've been clean since September. 😁
Why is nobody making a huge scene when their nose gets totally stuffed up during a cold?! Your body just adjusts... and honestly, it's the exact same deal with tampons. People get all worked up and then nothing happens. For me, I wasn't even bothered by the fact that blood was constantly leaking through them onto the bottom gauze pad—which would get so soaked that blood would practically be seeping past the edges, and the hospital staff? They didn't give a single damn about you... I’d be wandering around the ward looking for someone, basically begging them to change the pad... and if I didn't get a nurse I actually knew the next day, I would have lost my mind. Eventually, she just handed me a massive stack of gauze so I could do it myself 🙂 (I ended up hiding them in my bedside drawer). Plus, for the first three days, sleep was non-existent because there was this old lady in the room with me who snored louder than my dad, my grandpa, and my boyfriend combined 😂
So, go ahead, get your surgery done through public insurance... as if. If the operation had actually been successful, I wouldn't even be saying anything.
During that first surgery, I had them in for five days... gross!... and on the second one, it was only one day... but either way, you won't be able to breathe through your nose once they pull them out. My nose was completely blocked for at least seven days due to scabbing and swelling... So, it's not like you can't breathe *because* of the tampons; you wouldn't be able to breathe for the first few days regardless of whether they were in there or not.

Taking them out didn't hurt at all, neither the first nor the second time... just this really weird sensation. The real shock is that first breath after they're out... I think I mentioned it before, but it felt like I was breathing through my actual brain 😁
steelangler88 said:The skin feels totally stuck to the bridge of my nose. Has anyone else dealt with this?? Honestly, I feel like it’s been happening since my first surgery—I have this little "spot" there—and now after the second one, it’s exactly the same deal... It doesn't make much sense because the bone is displaced again, and they used an open technique this time... what am I supposed to do about it??😕 I really want to fix this because it's super noticeable; it looks like hyperpigmentation, and I'm thinking maybe the skin is just glued down, which is why that area looks so much darker...🤷

Are you massaging your nose? You absolutely HAVE to massage it! Put your thumb on one side and your index finger on the other, then do circular motions to basically wiggle the skin around so you're peeling it away from the bone. Do this every single day for a few minutes, and honestly, as often as you can think of...
If you've got the cash to burn, look into getting some lymphatic drainage done for your nose too.

What I'm saying goes for everyone, not just you. Massage that nose. It keeps the skin from sticking and helps the swelling go down way faster.

Maria Hall92...it's awesome that you don't have any bruising! Did they actually break bones, or were they just shaving down the hump? I'm pretty sure they snapped my nose in a couple of places on both sides... I guess that explains why I was such a bruised mess. During my first surgery, they didn't even touch the bone, so I had zero bruising at all.
Maria Hall92 said:Are you serious? I mean, she told me, but I honestly thought that was all there was to it 😁.. were you using ice? People kept telling me to keep an ice pack on my nose constantly..

Yeah, I was hitting the ice packs pretty regularly. I used those ones from DM... the kind filled with some sort of gel... you just keep them in the fridge at all times... grab one out, hold it on until you can't take it anymore, then toss it right back in the fridge. They cost less than $6.75, and they're a total lifesaver.

I’ve always maintained that most people don't actually feel any pain in their nose. I went through two procedures myself and didn't feel a single thing. If it hasn't hurt this far, it probably won't 👍
steelangler88 said:Oh my god... !! 🙂
seriously, I would have straight up lost it... I'm crossing everything that I can to hope this whole thing turns out amazing.👍

So, how's your progress coming along?
