He might not be lying to you; he could just be lying to himself. But it’s pretty obvious he isn't looking to be with you.
I get that it hurts and it's hard to swallow, but what exactly have you been doing for four years? If things were actually great and the only issue was whether he calls you his girlfriend or not... please. Give me a break.
Raymond Booth40 said:I really need to understand why he won't commit to anyone. Honestly, being with him just leaves me feeling completely drained; I feel like my brain has been wiped clean and I'm not even the same person anymore.
Look, honey, it’s not that he won't be with anyone else. He just won't be with you. Face facts. There's nothing more to say about it.
Quick question... I use an asthma inhaler on occasion. I need one right now, but I can't get a hold of my doctor for the life of me—trying to reach them by phone is basically mission impossible.
Is there any way to buy one without a prescription? I know you can sometimes bring the script in later, but with the holidays going on, who knows when I’ll actually see him. I really don't want to put a third party in an awkward spot, so I’d honestly rather just pay full price and be done with it. Thanks in advance.
Paul Campbell3 said:Here’s my situation: I want to run a beauty salon—nails, lashes, makeup, massages—out of my private home. I have this idea where clients get treated to a few different types of coffee, sparkling water, and maybe even a muffin while they wait, specifically during the summer months on the patio outside. How do I make this legal? Do I actually need to open a full-blown cafe, or is there some other way to register this kind of thing? 🤷
If I recall correctly, if you set up one of those vending machines where customers drop in their own coins, you're allowed to do that. But since you're essentially charging for food and drink like a cafe or a bakery would, you'll likely need to register that specific business activity too.
Ever deal with those aunts or old family friends who’ve been hoarding cash their entire lives and suddenly want to nickel-and-diming you over every little thing? It’s that dynamic where they shove money at you—not because you actually earned it, but just so they can manipulate the situation to their advantage. I see it all the time. You could make a decent chunk of change just on small-time side hustles, yet the real issue is how they go after the poor guy just trying to scrape together an extra few bucks to get by. Meanwhile, the people moving massive amounts of money—people flying out to Monaco with stacks of cash every few months—they seem to walk away scot-free.
Honestly, who knows what kind of schemes are being used to hide wealth, whether it was gained illegally or just to dodge insane taxes? The people with actual assets know exactly which loopholes to use, and the authorities know exactly who to target. It always ends up being the little guy just trying to survive until payday, and that’s what gets to me. Not to mention the total death of privacy. Say you enjoy hosting friends and regularly pick up some booze to keep them happy; based on your transaction history, the government will eventually flag you and start restricting your life because they’ve labeled you a heavy drinker.
I have the exact opposite experience. When I’m deep in the weeds with a massive project and the pressure is on, my brain functions like a high-performance engine. But once things settle down and I actually relax? Everything slows to a crawl. If I try to force the stress just to get moving, I end up wrecking my health instead, which leaves me accomplishing absolutely nothing in the end.
Carl Rivera43 said:Does this ever happen to you guys? How do you handle it, or try to play it cool when you're stuck in a big crowd or just sitting at the office?
Do you get that awkward feeling and just try to laugh it off?
Hypothetically speaking, what’s the move if something like that happens at a funeral?
Some woman once told me that’s just a sign you’re possessed or something. Straight to the exorcist for you.🧐 What else are you going to do? Distance yourself and try to focus on something that usually stresses you out and makes you anxious.
Kevin Newman3 said:Those sudden fits of laughter always seem to hit at the worst possible moments. It’s incredibly awkward and almost impossible to suppress once it starts. I honestly think it’s tied to shock; for me, these outbursts usually trigger right after some kind of stressful disaster... one time, I accidentally caused a short circuit at my boyfriend's sister's place and ended up setting their entire bathroom on fire. Total catastrophe, obviously, but I was gripped by this uncontrollable urge to laugh. The worst part was the mental loop playing in my head—just pictacing her sprinting out of the restroom. I knew grinning like a maniac was completely inappropriate, but I just couldn't stop myself. Then there was that time at a funeral, or once while I was at work... I’m fairly certain these are just inexplicable physiological reactions to shock. During that funeral, I actually covered my face with my hands so it looked like I was sobbing, but the second I saw an opening, I slipped out from the procession to pull myself together. Thank God nobody noticed, because I would have died of embarrassment right then and there. How do you even explain that, or find any way to justify it?🤦
Same thing happens to me. When things get truly messed up, I usually end up laughing. Sometimes it works—better than panicking and running around like a headless chicken—but at funerals and stuff, it feels terrible when it hits you.
There’s zero chance you can just kick her out. Not legally. You can't even evict a single adult occupant without a massive legal headache, let alone a wife with a newborn.
Look, there is one silver lining in your situation. Since you're from Cleveland, if she qualifies as a single mother, the city provides rental assistance of roughly $110 a month. If all else fails, that's basically guaranteed money. Plus, if the father chips in some child support, things might actually work out.
Thomas Wells5 said:Just a heads-up for anyone looking to roll back to Windows 7 after an upgrade: you can navigate to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Recovery, and the system will walk you through the rest. Generally speaking, you have a 30-day window following the upgrade to revert everything back to how it was. Also, for those of you who find it absolutely infuriating that Windows 10 insists on downloading itself even when you've specifically disabled updates—yes, I know the feeling—there is actually a rather handy little tool that works on both Windows 7 and 8.1 to stop that madness in its tracks. https://www.grc.com/never10.htm
It’s not working. At least not for me. It keeps claiming the files have been deleted. Look, I’m probably the idiot here. I installed App never10, so it’s either that causing the mess or the system just wiped everything during the jump from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I've got this win.old folder, but it’s useless. Even when I boot up my laptop, I tried running the recovery options to roll back to yesterday—since the version from two days ago was even older—but nothing works. It just won't trigger.
I'll probably just move everything over to an external drive, wipe the machine, and then hunt down some decent Windows 7 machines to see if I can get a mediocre performance out of Windows 10. Everything’s been crashing ever since that auto-install kicked in. Just my luck. 😠
I'm on board with everything said above. That was my exact thought when I watched him recently.
A bit off-topic, but I haven't even touched a TV in maybe two or three years. I just stream whatever I want online. Honestly, I can really feel the difference between myself—and other people living like this—and those folks who can't function without a television being a constant part of their lives.
Sandra Vaughn50 said:We’re talking about melanoma here, one of the most aggressive skin cancers out there. It's serious. If the disease is caught while it's still localized to the skin lesion, surgical excision can remove it entirely, which is considered a successful cure.
Clark and Breslow measurements classify based on how deep the tumor has penetrated. A Breslow depth of 2.9 mm falls into stage 4 (out of 5). Statistically, the five-year survival rate for this group is around 60-75%. This implies the tumor hasn't metastasized in these patients, meaning they live beyond five years—effectively cured. In 25-40% of cases, the disease has spread. Once melanoma becomes metastatic, it's unfortunately incurable and fatal. Standard chemotherapies often fail due to high tumor resistance, and experimental drugs haven't yielded much promise yet.
Exactly. That "fluid injection" (scintigraphy) is meant to check if the sentinel lymph node has been hit by the tumor—basically looking for regional metastasis.
Thanks for the quick reply. I owe you one... I know this might not be the right place for it, but could anyone suggest what might actually help? (I've read things about flaxseeds and flaxseed oil). You can answer here or just send me a private message. Thanks again, and sorry if this question is out of place...
I’m looking for some perspective on these results. It’s a male patient, over 60. Specifically, I’m focused on the invasion level, the depth, and the figure showing 13 mitoses per 1mm of tumor.
Also, what should we expect next, and just how serious is this situation? The patient is scheduled for surgery in two weeks—though I might be misinterpreting things since he’s still in shock and I wasn't actually in the room when the doctor spoke. From what I gathered, they’re planning a deeper excision of this specific tumor, and they also intend to inject a fluid into the bloodstream to check for potential metastasis...
Thanks in advance. Please excuse any errors in my terminology; this isn't my field of expertise.
Back when I was stuck in an unplanned pregnancy, I felt like a complete idiot—zero self-esteem, or at least a very thin veneer of fake confidence. But when things were going well and the interest was mutual, my confidence actually grew. At least, that’s how I saw it.
Are there specific life or family circumstances making you feel less than worthy? Are you constantly looking over your shoulder, terrified someone will uncover a dark secret? Or maybe the guys you date treat you poorly enough that your plummeting self-esteem actually makes sense. Perhaps you're just picking the wrong crowd...
Give me some more detail. What exactly goes through your mind when you think about that loss of confidence...
David Ross3 said:Worst part is, I have zero clue how to deal with this constant fear of failing. My boyfriend and I were planning on moving in together, but once it was actually time to pull the trigger, I just froze and told him I wasn't ready yet... There's always something holding me back. Honestly, what even category does this fall under?
Like I told you before: take it one step at a time. The situation with your boyfriend is a different beast entirely. Moving in together is a massive move. Maybe deep down, you aren't actually sure yet. If there’s no rush, don't rush it.
From what I can tell, you're a perfectionist. You need to learn to love who you are and give yourself permission to be imperfect every once in a while.😉
