The "undeniably" problematic posts weren't left up because we let them stay. They get deleted. Otherwise, they're gone.
If one user talked to another the way TNT was talking about those people, would that post still be sitting there as an example for everyone else?
I mean, I don't think it's right to let racist crap or any other offensive garbage just sit there for everyone to see. A mod should just drop a clear note explaining why something got nuked and why that kind of stuff is totally unacceptable and gets you banned.
Honestly, I’m down for goldeneagle36 at least giving mod a shot. 🙂
Adam Moore12 said:Of course I don't see the problem only with Rachel Richardson. But in my opinion, the first step should definitely be getting rid of that spammer. There's zero constructive value there; when he isn't spamming, he just flips his entire stance depending on whose ass he's trying to kiss. But what I hate most out of everything Joshua Perez6 mentioned is the way people insult others through a third party. When I see that level of lowliness and cowardice, it genuinely makes me sick—and I don't mean figuratively or just using an emoji, I feel physically nauseous.
As for the blackpillers, yeah, I've talked to them, and I was pleasant and well-meaning about it. I talk that way with Sisyphus and TNT too, who both bring their own specific brands of trouble to the subforum.
But when the blackpillers start using Nazi terminology, or when TNT starts writing about how people with disabilities shouldn't have even been born, or when Sisyphus calls women who have legal abortions "witches," "exterminators," and "murderers"—that’s when I react.
Did you miss my reactions? Because I reacted every single time.
I don't think moderation needs to be "stricter" in some abstract sense; honestly, I'm just glad the position exists at all.
I don't think any of the people mentioned should be kicked out entirely, but I do think there should be clear bans: a ban for Sylar for physical insults, for the dead guy and Junius for misogyny, for TNT for off-topic posting, and for Sisyphus for those horrific comments. No need to delete posts, just issue the bans so it's crystal clear what these people are writing and why it violates the principles of any civilized community.
That way, I believe people will think twice—maybe even three times—before they hit send.
Plus, it would attract new people to the subforum—people looking for actual discussion and communication, knowing they're in a place where if someone breaks the rules, there's actually someone to report it to or warn.
Instead, we have a moderator who loudly declares she isn't moderating, and another moderator who acts stupid just to protect a holy little clique and nothing else.
Because when I complained to her about that religious thread, it was just "whine, whine, okay, close the thread." You don't need to close a single thread, Ashley Vaughn79, but you DO need to moderate. Either do the job or get out of the way.
Yes, you did. Personally, I think we should be stepping in way before things even get to the extreme examples you listed. That goes for both the mods and the users on Reddit.

We'll always have Paris Anida, man, those few weeks without our respected Reddit user Rachel Richardson 🙂.
But alas, during those three weeks, he spread through the rest of the site like a cancer; you could see him greeting people on the newbie threads, and he wouldn't miss a chance to post in the gaming section either.
I guess it’s better for the other moderators if he just clutters up "only" the US section instead of polluting the entire platform.
Apparently, over 160 THOUSAND posts about girlfriends, cute pics, protein, boobs, asses, anal stuff, and all that other filth are absolutely necessary for this site.
160 THOUSAND PIECES OF SHIT.
🤮
It's super weird to me that you only see a problem with Rachel Richardson. Did the quality of the US really get that much better while he was gone?
What about everything else? Like, the other day those incel types went wild, and you were chatting comfortably with almost every single one of those blackpill guys—probably being nice, I guess, but I think you just helped them spread.
Can someone just fix my username on the Walter Davis forum? Please?
Joseph Rivera75 said:Marriage, huh... honestly, being married feels pretty surreal to me...
It’s one thing when you wrap up high school at 18 or college at 22 and tie the knot, but it's a whole different ballgame starting life after graduation like this...
We always planned on having kids.
But the marriage part...
Maybe we just spent way too much time stuck in isolation studying, because by the time he popped the question on our first anniversary... I felt like I hadn't been to a decent party in forever...
Yeah, obviously. Of course they're happy when the baby arrives. Just last week, a friend of mine—she's 42, he's 50—was talking about it.
But wait until you're dealing with someone jumping around all night... I was holding my kid every single night until they were two, sleeping maybe 2 or 3 hours at a time... man, during maternity leave I thought I was okay, but by the time I got back to work, I was a total zombie.
And once the stomach bugs and colds start hitting... I was sick non-stop for ten years. Once you hit 20 and haven't had contact with kids in ages... you just can't bounce back from childhood illnesses like you used to.
Then there's that moment when everyone else is talking about all the places they traveled... while you were just hanging out at Central Park.
Having kids in your 20s isn't everything...
Vita Maslacak?
P.S. for the guys planning to propose... just pick a ring yourself. Don't let your mom make the call.
Well, if they're so happy, maybe you should help them deal with all the parental headaches. 🤷
electricscout15 said:But honestly, what exactly is there to "make up"? 🤔
People who have kids aren't exactly under house arrest for eighteen years straight, and besides, what's the difference between doing things at 25 versus 40? While I guess there's definitely a difference in reverse—adventures in your 40s will surely be better than they could have been at 25. Sure, I might have been in better shape back then, but intelligence, maturity, wit, money, sex... everything else just keeps getting better as the years go by.😁
For me, the responsibility factor is huge. I just never had any interest in being responsible and dealing with kids.
It’s way better for those kids who are still in college at twenty. 🤣
I know plenty of folks who became parents in their late 30s or even early 40s, and honestly, I don't see them struggling or regretting not jumping in sooner. I mean, it’s mostly people who don't exactly view hitting 40 as being ancient.
Look, I mean, sure, there are definitely people in their early twenties who could be great parents, but if it were me? I’d take those years with way fewer responsibilities.
Maybe living together wouldn't be a huge deal, like, pretty soon. But kids? Building up assets, taking out massive loans, all that stuff? I'd wait. Just speaking for myself here, not saying everyone else should follow my lead.
What do you mean you can't just leave? Plenty of people bail, live apart for ages, and basically end things without even a formal divorce. And honestly, if both sides are on the same page, getting a divorce is pretty quick and easy.
After three years of living together, the law basically treats it like a marriage anyway, just without the official paperwork. Especially if there are kids involved, it gets complicated even sooner. 🤷
You really think someone’s got leverage over you just because you signed that paper?
Honestly, I guess it's more likely people are held hostage by shared assets, mortgages... whatever.
After living together successfully for a while now.
Not before you hit thirty.
ruggedscout76 said:Reading through this, I find myself losing count of all these little greetings and hugs. 🤔 If they even count as such, they feel somewhat performative to me; honestly, if I were receiving fifty of them a day, I suspect they would eventually become more of an annoyance than a benefit to my quality of life.
A "real" hug is something entirely different—it’s that moment where you simply let go and surrender, losing yourself in the connection. It’s a lingering embrace where you feel secure enough to close your eyes, a silent reassurance that says, "lean on me, let me carry some of your weight, I’ve got you." 🕺
Having even one of those a day would be an absolute luxury.
Fortunately for me, there are also those lighter, childlike embraces, though I don't think anyone truly hugs with the same purity as a child. Those moments are usually easy and carefree—sometimes offered for comfort, but often just because love is present. Children seem to understand instinctively that you hug the people you care about at every opportunity, without needing a grand reason to do so.
That was beautifully put. I'm with you on this. 😍
At least until they hit those moody teenage years. 😬
I know a few people who are huge huggers, and even though we're just acquaintances, whenever I run into them, I just take a deep breath and lean in. I really dig people like that; wouldn't want them any other way.
Amanda James27 said:At this rate, I’m pretty sure I’m already dead—maybe just a poltergeist hanging around at best...
I honestly can't remember if I've even hit a total of 100 hugs in my entire life, let alone managed to squeeze in 4 before breakfast...
Then you're toast. You can't hug a ghost, no matter how hard you try.
I love a good hug, especially those big bear hugs, BUT only with people I actually know. 😍 I'm super touchy about my personal space and don't really like people just barging in. 🙂
Digital hugs? Sure, they're fine. 🙂
And you know what they say, when you're feeling down, hug a dog. There's probably some truth to that. 🙂

See, I can be quite romantic when I choose to be... 😍
Life companion 🤣
There you go. Perfect answer right there.
jadeowl2 said:Well, on that point, we can actually agree 😉.
Basically, they’re saying if you call someone you love a "partner," you just don't get what real romance and true love are all about. Honestly, I'm surprised you're buying into that. 😁
