George Washington. When you're putting together a post, you'll notice some extra options sitting right underneath the text box where you type... One of those features is actually called
.
Nickname change (read first post!) in Forum Help! ·
This is the official thread where you can request a change to your username.

A few quick notes:
  1. Requests such as a change from Mark to John or something similar are not allowed. The only exception for a total nickname overhaul is for profiles with fewer than 50 posts. Minor corrections that are
    actually
  2. permitted include adjusting capitalization or any slight tweak that does not change the core meaning of your handle. It’s important that your identity remains recognizable. For example:
    • to timothy jackson2 or timmy. New nicknames are restricted strictly to letters and spaces. Adding any other symbols isn't allowed (like dashes, dots, asterisks, etc.).
*A period is only okay if it serves as an initial, provided the period isn't the only thing separating the requested name from the current one

**Additionally, please don't ask for a period if your entire handle or most of it would consist solely of initials
  3. Please do not reach out if you have already changed your nickname once before.
Before submitting a formal request to change your name, please give this a read as well:
    About Usernames (General Recommendations)
  4. Before asking for a specific name, make sure it isn't already taken. You can check this by clicking on the Member List. The forum
    does not
  5. differentiate between uppercase and lowercase letters in usernames. So, for instance, you can't request
  6. Blabla if there is already a user named
    • or something similar. Please be patient while we process your request. Don't expect it to be handled instantly—sometimes it might take a couple of weeks to get sorted out... Don't forget that changing your nickname also changes your login credentials. So, if your old username was meerko and your new one is
      mirko

، when you log in, you will enter
  7. mirko
as your username along with your password.
    • Once I approve the change—meaning your request meets all the rules mentioned above—you should send a private message to our administrator Nici and make sure to include a link to the post where the change was approved. *You can grab the direct link to any post by clicking the number (the link) in the top right corner of the post itself. Please refrain from posting things like "I don't like my name, can you change it to something else?". Please provide
      one

    specific
  8. and single suggestion that follows the guidelines listed above. In cases where the name you want is taken, but that user hasn't logged in for years and has very few (or zero) posts, there is a possibility we might approve your request anyway. The administration will decide whether or not to grant such exceptions. The admin team is not obligated
to provide a detailed explanation for why a request was accepted or denied.
  9. How to check if a name is available: 1. Click on Member List at the top of the forum page.
    2. Once there, look for the search tool on the right side. Click it, type your desired name into the field, and hit Search.

  10. We hope everything is clear and that we can keep this thread running smoothly without too many hiccups...

Note: The administration reserves the right to accept or deny any nickname correction request, even if it falls outside these specific rules.

Look, honey, if we’re talking about what’s being written on this side of the aisle, there are plenty of books being tossed around too... so really, who's the one being uneducated here?

Mandagora, I think you could probably make a much sharper point than that... 😍

Roger Allen2 said:If you head to the doctor and tell them you want to get rid of acne, they’re just going to prescribe you some pills. And then people go right ahead and take those pills because a doctor said so. Because we all know how incredibly healthy taking pills is, right? Since they're clearly a product of science. Not to mention they usually don't even work. The real alternative is clay, which actually gets the job done. So, what should a person actually be taking?

Oh, please, stop talking nonsense. What kind of pills are we even talking about for acne? Sure, hormonal imbalances can cause breakouts on your neck and face, but for almost everything else, you'd just see an aesthetician, or if it's a serious issue, a dermatologist. There are plenty of cosmetic treatments out there that are super effective at clearing up acne...😉

The paranoia among you alternative crowd is getting out of hand. It’s like everyone is being poisoned by everything—food, medicine, the air, the water, who even knows what else... I mean, let’s just take a breath for a second. I’m certainly not saying Big Pharma is some saintly organization, but half the stuff you guys claim about them is just completely detached from reality.

And then there’s this constant obsession with MMS. That’s not the only issue, either. (Honestly, I think Alan probably thinks pathophysiology is science fiction. Like, "the body cleanses itself of pathogens through bowel movements." Seriously? Think about that for a second. It’s actually pretty sad that there are so many books written on the subject, yet you all seem to find it impossible to read even one of them. No, instead, you BLINDLY believe someone who doesn't have a single medical bone in their body.) On the Military forum, people are even talking about ingesting clay. The supposed mechanism of action they describe regarding how clay supposedly "cleanses" the system makes zero sense. And don't even get me started when some forum user claims urine is HEALTHY and starts recommending it to everyone. Look, folks, I really don't care if you want to eat literal garbage... but your total lack of understanding regarding the topics you discuss is honestly painful to watch. All your rambling is built entirely on faith, while there isn't a shred of evidence for these "magic potions." I won't even get into vaccinations. I'm not saying modern medicine is perfect, but there's a massive difference: in medicine, we use controlled experiments to prove whether something works and HOW it works, whereas in the alternative scene, everything is just based on faith and the placebo effect.

@Nicole Collins13, I honestly don't know how else to put this nicely without sounding blunt, but you really need to back off. I've tried being subtle about it more times than I can count, but you just don't seem to be getting the hint. Clearly, I haven't been direct enough... 🙄

placidheron24 said:5. It looks like this thread isn't going to lead to anything besides endless debating (in the usual style), so I guess I'll have to take this to the moderators.

Go right ahead. Honestly, you should have done that from the jump. But hey, I suppose you just have to leave a trail of complaints everywhere you go, so I can't say I'm surprised you started this thread... Anyway, while you're still on your way, why don't you take a quick stroll over to the Reddit BEST OF thread? 👋

Melissa Castillo said:Timothy Jackson2, buddy, I know exactly how you feel 🙂. That scent of fresh air mixed with the taste of ratio that you bring to these stale threads is basically poison to them 😵 Don't let them get under your skin; just let them dig their own holes, or better yet, let's toast to it :grab silver chalices, pour yourself some Clorox, Timothy drinks peroxide: 🙂

As much as it pains me to care about people poisoning themselves, I just can't help it. They simply don't grasp the basics of chemistry or biology. It’s not really their choice to take MMS or this new version of H2O2 that bothers me. (😂) It's their sheer ignorance that gets to me.

Damn, how did you even know I drink peroxide?
/me raises a glass 🙂

Harold Sanders10 said:I am totally on board with this (though I find the crowd over at the Alternative forums pretty bizarre, so I tend to steer clear of posting there). Some moderators have already been handed partial bans on other forums for less. In my opinion, what Tik did here definitely qualifies as blatant disrespect or being unnecessarily cold, and deserves at least a week-long suspension.

To be honest, when I warned ZgSash that he was insulting the forum members, he just told me I could report him to the admin, so fine, consider it reported...

I’ve already told you once, but I guess I’ll say it again. You have plenty of other subforums to hang out in. You can give the PZ section a very wide berth if you want. First of all, you are constantly making snide remarks. Second, let me reiterate: if you have an issue with how I moderate this specific subforum, feel free to file a complaint. Just chill out, man. It’s not like we grew up in the same neighborhood together...😉
Moved over to the psychology subforum.

Rachel Doyle69 said:You know, some people just have this innate sense of empathy and understanding for others. It’s honestly not that difficult, and you don't need to be running a massive non-profit like the Red Cross to show it...
Sometimes, you go through your own share of hardships, and those experiences give you a perspective that helps you relate to everyone else, whether they're strangers or close friends, simply because you've been there too.
And if you have the chance to offer some helpful, constructive advice, you should take it—that's just what being a decent human being is all about.

Thanks for such a thoughtful and thorough response. Maybe I'll manage to dig up a little bit of that humanity in myself after all. 🙏

p.s. Honestly, some people could really use an intensive crash course in sarcasm...😛

You must belong to some kind of charity group for people who just can't catch a break. I honestly don't get how you can feel so much empathy for someone you haven't even met...🤔

Honestly, I’m not really here to dive into whatever is weighing on you right now; I just came by to indulge in a little bit of myself... 😬

What a load of nonsense. Seriously. I’d bet anything you aren't actually talking to them—maybe once every ten or twenty years at most. And honestly, I don't get the point of everyone handing out their Microsoft Messenger info just to immediately block people for being annoying or hiding behind an "offline" status...

Microsoft Messenger is garbage. Zoom is where it's at. AOL Instant Messenger works too. But sure, let's all just obsess over tiny little emojis. It's such childish stuff... 🙏

Besides, I wouldn't touch those over-the-counter stuff... unless you find getting blood in your urine to be an absolute turn-on. 🤣

Wait, were you actually on enough gear to be peeing blood? 😲 😬
