Samuel Hayes3 said:I'm planning on upgrading my rig sometime soon, so I was wondering what a fair asking price would be for a PC like this. I originally bought it back in October 2019, and it cost... $2000 That’s about $850, I guess.

I’d probably give this some thought, mostly because you still have plenty of room for a massive CPU upgrade on that motherboard.
I guess this looks like a solid deal on an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X if you're looking to upgrade. Might be worth grabbing while the price is right.
The XFX RX 6700 XT Speedster QICK looks like a solid option for anyone looking to upgrade their setup. I guess it’s worth checking out if you need that extra bit of performance.
Maybe just toss in another 1TB M.2 SSD? I guess this Western Digital Blue 1TB SSD is worth a look if you need some extra storage. It seems like a decent, straightforward option for most people.
And in less than... $1667 You’ve got a seriously capable gaming rig there. 😉
This is $1500 and you could probably squeeze in an Asus B550M for about 5200$1767 total if you're looking for a major boost across the board (like an Asus B550M-A). The GPU sits somewhere in the ballpark of an RTX 3060Ti, while the 5700X is pretty much on par with the 13400F in most ways (which is basically just a downclocked, locked 12600KF anyway—not exactly the latest Raptor Lake architecture).
The only real downside is the longevity of the platform, since AM4 is a dead socket now. That said, AM6 will likely be out by the time you're ready for your next upgrade, assuming the Intel I3-9100F and GTX 1650 have been cutting it for you so far.😬
The Intel Core i5-12400 is plenty powerful enough to handle an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, a 3070, or even a 6700/6750XT; I don't see any kind of bottleneck happening with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 😁
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is a solid best-buy, though it's just a bit slower than the NVIDIA RTX 3060.
A 5600G paired with a B550 board and 16GB of DDR4 3200 runs for roughly $300. You could probably build a whole rig with a decent PSU, a case, and a 500GB NVMe for around $450. It’d be ready to handle an upgrade to a 5800X3D and maybe something like an RTX 4080 down the road, which isn't bad, I guess. 🍿
It’s an Intel Core i3-12100F 3.3 GHz LGA1700, boxed version. I guess that covers the basics. The Gigabyte H610M S2H features DDR4 support, an M.2 slot, and runs on the Intel H610 chipset for the LGA1700 socket. It’s a pretty standard setup, I guess. I suppose that’s twice the amount. Maybe. Just a single 8GB stick of DDR4 from Innovation IT, running at 3200MHz with CL16 latency at 1.35V. Seems like a standard enough setup, I guess. CPU: -> $9.25 I guess this one is cheaper and packs an extra 100MHz, plus from what I can tell, the V3 motherboard supports this refreshed version anyway.
SSD: -> Moving from a basic budget NVMe to the top tier is such a massive jump, $40, so I’d definitely go with this one.
The case and power supply from the previous post seem fine to me.
When I add this to my cart on Amazon, it comes out to about $1517$ . Could you please double-check everything one more time? I think I'm finally ready to pull the trigger and order this.
I might swap out this SSD for a 1TB version instead, so if you have any recommendations, let me know!
Also, total "dumb question" here, but will this order include everything I actually need for the build? Like cables, wires, screws, mounting brackets...? And I'm assuming I'll need some thermal paste too, right?
Whoops, I accidentally bumped a component out of my cart 😬 It should be around $1483. I guess that LC Power model is actually a bit better than Hexe or those other 80+ units. It’s probably on par with that beQuiet! model.
