Maybe an AMD Athlon x4 860 k processor with that 4MB cache hitting up to 4.00 GHz on an sFM2+ socket, paired with a low-noise Light cooler. Gigabyte GA-F2A68HM-DS2 motherboard, sFM2+. The Gigabyte GV-R736OC-2GD features 2 GB of DDR5 memory on a 128-bit bus, with clock speeds running at 1200/6500 MHz. MS Endeavor gaming case, no PSU included. Supports ATX and mATX. External bays: 2 x 5.25"; Internal bays: 3 x 5. It looks like a 400W FSP Fortron/Source Hexa+ power supply, ATX 2.4 spec, model PPA4004900. Maybe it'll do the job depending on what else is in the build. Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD, 3.5", 7200RPM, 64MB Cache, SATA3, ST1000DM003. Looks like an 8GB stick of DDR3 PC3-12800 1600MHz CL11 Kingston Value RAM (KVR16N11/8). I guess it’s pretty standard stuff.
$960 I guess I should probably mention that... ADM.
If this stock cooler turns out to be too weak, you might want to swap it out for a better one later on. Adding a few extra case fans wouldn't hurt either, I guess.
How would anyone even have this board already? It’s like there are 10,000 people out there buying stuff every single second. 🤣
It seems pretty much identical to the H81M-R, just with DDR4 and a few extra connectors. Honestly, I don't see it on Asus's official list at all. I suspect it might actually be the H110M-A.
Neither the R9 390 nor the R9 390X, or even the reference NVIDIA GTX 1070, seem like the best deals right now... I guess you should wait for some custom NVIDIA GTX 1070 models. They’ll probably be a bit faster and cheaper than the R9 390X, plus they’ll pull about 100W less power.
Budget-friendly setup here, featuring an NVIDIA card and an SSD:
The AMD Athlon II x4 870k GIGABYTE Main board desktop AMD A68 features an AMD Athlon II x4 870k processor. I guess I'm looking at this GIGABYTE motherboard setup with the AMD A68 chipset—it's got the usual basics like DDR3, SATA III, and USB 3.0, plus some RAID support. It seems like a pretty standard, straightforward little build. The Inno3D GeForce GT 710 with 1GB of SDDR3 (model INO-N710-1SDV-D3BX). Maybe someone's looking at a single 8GB stick of Kingmax DDR3 1600? It’s the KIN-8GB model. Just a thought. The MS VOYAGER 2 case, just the chassis—no power supply included. Zalman 400 w pas LX Series Retail, ZAL-ZM400-LX I guess I'm looking at this 120GB AData SSD (SP550 ASP550SS3-120GM-C). Maybe consider the Toshiba DT01ACA100 1TB 3.5'' drive? I guess it could work. The LC Power LC-CC-95 CPU cooler—the 90mm version.
They’re pretty much neck and neck when it comes to gaming and most everyday tasks... I guess the Intel Core i5-4460 is a generation newer, so it might be just a hair faster in certain spots.
I wouldn't even bother looking at that CPU or motherboard... I mean, the processor might still be okay, but it'll get totally crushed by that i5 3350P mentioned above, and honestly, the motherboard is just junk.
As for the GPU, maybe $400 if it still has about a year left on the warranty.
That $150 is meant for the graphics card... I’d say just pick one up later once the next generation drops. Until then, you can probably just get by on the integrated graphics.
I guess that Kingston 1x8GB DDR4 2133 C15 stick—the KNG-KVR21N15S8-8—is sitting at $271.69. Maybe? EVGA 500 W XE Series 80 Bronze, XFX-P1-500B-XTFR Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 3.5'' The MS CHAMPION gaming case—just the chassis, no PSU included. Intel Core i3 6100 ASUS H110 desktop Intel Core i3 6100 ASUS H110 desktop (LGA1151, DDR4, USB3.1, USB2.0, SATA III, DVI, VGA, Audio, LAN) H110M_PRO-VD_PLUS I think you might have sent that by mistake? Or maybe I missed something. Anyway, let me know if there was something specific you wanted to discuss. An MS PC COOL 12cm case fan.
All in all: $860 I guess I should probably get started on this. Maybe?
I’d probably hold off on buying the graphics card for now. I guess you could probably get by on integrated graphics for another two or three weeks. 🙂
Take this deal above; it's actually a pretty solid offer.
Regarding the GPUs, we already touched on this, but the RX 470 should probably be arriving quite soon.
For an SSD, you could go with the SanDisk X400 256 or maybe something cheaper like the Kingston UV400 240, though that one has a shorter warranty and is a bit slower.
That’s a pretty weak deal... honestly, for $900 you could probably build a whole new rig with an i5 4460, 8GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and a much better power supply.
You don't necessarily need to go with a Skylake hexa-core; I guess the Intel Haswell 5820K might actually be the better value here, which would also help lower the cost for $183.

Maybe I'll add 2 more case fans, one front and one rear:
That’s tough... a 480W power supply that only puts out 240W on the 12V rail is a massive red flag for quality. It might hold up for a little while, but I wouldn't really risk putting a new graphics card on it.
For instance, a buddy of mine picked up a Real Power 600W (which is slightly better than that total junk) to run a Phenom II X6 1090T and an R9 390... and it died after about four months.😁
