2014 Monaco Grand Prix Recap & Discussion in Formula 1 ·

I don't want to just assume he did it on purpose, but Lujin's body language was—to put it bluntly—absolutely ruthless 🤣

He clearly knows him well enough by now that he isn't going to bother with any pathetic, half-baked excuses
And honestly? Maybe Nico is just settling an old score over something that went down in the past

*Killer : a Journal of Murder (1995) — honestly, that's right up there with Videodrome for me. I forgot how much of a trip it was.

I haven't actually seen 🙈night moves
.
The Visitors and Night Moves are both total trash.

My internal radar picked up on him immediately, and I was totally hooked from the jump. 😁
I actually enjoyed the film quite a bit.

> (even though Sharon was in a league of her own there, Woods completely overshadowed the rest of the genre regulars 😁), Once Upon a Time in America... oh, and El Salvador, plus I still remember The Boost (1988).

A while back, I caught him when he was just a kid in some mediocre flick I stumbled upon—maybe it was The Visitors? I can't say for sure since I missed a good chunk of it, but I'll double-check soon to see if my memory serves me right.

Why is family being pushed so hard? in Close to Politics ·
This is being pushed solely so one loud, obnoxious group can finally grab their hard-won slice of the media and public spotlight—a prize they’ve been clawing at for years, though, frankly, not very effectively 😢

Even on the brutal political stage, they were nothing more than pathetic losers (😢😢), so now they've migrated to these much easier platforms where they can inflate their imaginary importance until they're delusional, convincing themselves they're actually big-time players
Unfair moderation/Power tripping/Banning for personal reasons in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Before we all get tangled up in yet another round of relativism, mediocre spin, endless mental gymnastics, and—newly added to the repertoire—the moderator playing the victim after one more lazy, borderline fascist outburst, I want to take a moment to remind everyone who we're actually dealing with. This is a moderator who thinks she gets to dictate your philosophy, your spirituality, and—for heaven's sake—your religion too.

The administration really needs to step up and take a hard look at what’s actually going on behind the profile of this "diligent" user—someone whose chameleon-like ability to shift stances whenever it suits her is becoming impossible to ignore.

darkhawk said:And they need to be pointed in the right direction, too. 🙂

(Isn't that exactly what a moderator is supposed to do—provide guidance—rather than just acting like a kill switch for whoever happens to be speaking?)

I honestly have no clue what you mean by that—or rather, I can tell you what "proper direction" looks like to me.
To my mind, proper direction simply means—not causing harm.

That’s basically the only metric I use when deciding who is actually worth talking to (people who can actually manage to inspire me to take action 😁).
I don't see factions, I don't see left vs. right, black vs. white, Proustian intellectuals vs. simpletons, regionalists vs. "true Americans"... blah blah blah.
My goal is just to gauge someone's intentions as accurately as possible—because if it turns out their motives aren't terrible, then that's enough for me to think our future coexistence might actually work.

Along those lines, I really hate being herded into some kind of flock—mostly because, for as long as I've known myself, I've had zero patience for partisan spikes or that general "collective" smell of forced solidarity.
And let's be real: about 90 percent of the crowd still clinging to old-school ideologies on Facebook wouldn't function at all if they weren't busy targeting someone or complaining—with a tendency to make life a little more difficult whenever they happen to be active during the month.😁
The only thing you can do with people like that is water them and hope that time actually heals things.

As for my own "bias"... I guess I'm some kind of national soc... oops.🙂 I'm a realist—so, a national soc-realist.
Right now, I'm rooting for anyone capable of pulling more investment into this country.

(Isn't it the moderator's job to provide direction, rather than just acting as an off-switch for speakers?)

A moderator's job is, among other things, to cut out biased labels at the root—labels we've already seen a million times over.

And I'm certain the moderators would improve significantly if they were dealing with more responsible users.
Until then, everyone should probably work on their own approach.

@darkhawk, I wasn't trying to make this about myself—I have zero interest in being the center of attention, by the way. I was just dropping a comment regarding the idea that someone is supposedly representing me or us.
Personally, I’d never sign up for something like that; that's just not how I roll.🤷

The rest of this thread just confirms what I already suspected about your intentions, though honestly, I think you’re just wasting your breath. Over the last few years, we’ve been right here, writing endless manifestos about improving the user experience and, more broadly, fixing the communication gap between the community and the mods/admins.
After everything we've been through, I truly believe the only thing you can actually achieve today is by making a tangible, concrete contribution to the specific sub-forum you care about.
It’s all about balance—you just need to know when to push and when to pull if you want to actually move the needle on things that are stuck.

To be honest, even your "analytical-educational" approach feels a bit overambitious. Since we're being blunt here,😁 I’d say you’re coming from a crowd that basically turned forum culture into its own niche social science.
There's really no need for it; we’ve already climbed quite high enough—maybe even a step or two past the peak—because there isn't much room left for political extremes on either side anymore. This place has become more accessible and slightly easier to navigate.
As for the heavy lifting left to do, I really think that can only be handled by users who actually possess a sense of proportion.
Forum Defender Project in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Honestly, this is just pure nonsense—if someone isn't capable of maintaining a coherent line of communication with the administration, they should just go find themselves a different subreddit to hang out in.

Furthermore, I can't help but feel like this is just another predictable thread in an endless cycle of repetitive topics. Déjà vu. Again. Who exactly is trying to step in and meddle with policy regulation? That’s really the core question here—who is primarily pushing for that kind of interference?
Look, I’m not going to dive into all the granular details right now—that’s a conversation for another time. I'll just say this: if we want this PDF to actually turn into something meaningful, it comes down to individual effort. If everyone who actually gives a damn about this takes the initiative to contribute, we can significantly boost the quality of the final document. It’s really about personal accountability here—improving the caliber of our own input while showing a bit more respect for perspectives that don't align with our own.

Look, it wouldn’t hurt to take a step back and look at how people approach this whole thing—honestly. We really need to address the general mindset here. If the individuals who are so desperate to carve their names into the margins of historical fact would just realize that certain eras are already settled, documented, and universally accepted, we might actually get somewhere. Instead, we have people constantly trying to rewrite the past—essentially forcing modern biases onto history like they're trying to reshape reality itself—all while aggressively fabricating some imaginary version of the future. If everyone stopped trying to "re-interpret" what’s already been decided and stuck to the actual record, this entire PDF would finally be able to breathe. It would be a much healthier discussion if we weren't constantly fighting against people's attempts to bend the truth to fit their current agendas.

When you approach political engagement through aggressive interventions—essentially trying to force everyone into a single, "correct" way of thinking—you basically guarantee your own isolation. It’s a self-defeating cycle: anyone who falls for that style of dogmatic shouting is ultimately just left stumbling around in the dark, unable to see the reality of the situation. Meanwhile, any actual, thoughtful conversationalist worth their salt is going to walk away, looking for an opponent who actually values a real debate over a forced monologue.
The mods and the admin team aren't actually to blame for why we can't have a decent, high-quality conversation here—it’s not their job to fix the culture. At the end of the day, real dialogue starts with the individual. If you want better discussions, you have to start by being a better participant yourself.

@ jademoso6, I don't think there's any need for that—honestly, I try to avoid any kind of (bloody) rhetoric calling for some sort of storm involving an armed populace
Everything is already way too tense as it is, and this environment could turn into a powder keg in a heartbeat if certain vultures decide they smell blood in the water

Even just a small spark can be enough to kick off something more significant, if not a full-blown diversion
The goal is to make those folks in power feel the nerves... let them realize their time is running out

Bottom line: it is entirely possible to screw them over using strictly legal mechanisms

It’ll definitely be tougher in major metropolitan areas, but even there, you have to start neighborhood by neighborhood... for instance, the federal government could issue a franchise for national-level operations🤷😁

I honestly don't get why people won't get politically active, even at a local level, just to take care of their own backyard🤷 Political activism doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing🤷

And that’s pretty much all I have to say about the posturing and the general competence of the people pushing this nonsense.

For anyone actually paying attention—and I mean those who prefer substance over constant, loud-mouthed posturing—here is a quote from the people who actually chose the harder path instead of just rattling their sabers:

"A lot of people aren't going to like the policy shifts and management changes we're advocating for... But once the signal was sent from cities like Metković and Omiš, and before that from Primošten, there is no way to silence it for the rest of America. We've proven that citizens can make an impact when they take matters into their own hands, and that's something that can no longer be swept under the rug..."

And honestly, the whole vibe would probably be pretty minimalist—stripped back, nothing extra.☕

Wasn't he in that one thing... what was it? Some Columbus movie? I think Depardieu was in that too—he played some seriously mean motherf***er. Not that I hated it.🤔
I actually really liked his performance there; he’s got a great voice and decent diction, too.

Look, I’m really not interested in jumping back into some exhausted debate that’s been hashed out a million times already.
In my book, edge is a solid individual who has contributed significantly—not just to PDF policy, but to the broader landscape—and that's more than anyone can say for ZgSash.
Period.

The constant flood of daily HR posts all over this forum reminds me way too much of that whole Chicago City era—you know, back when the trend became so incredibly obvious that it was impossible to ignore. 🙄--It was shut down immediately, and honestly, I think it was handled exactly the right way. I fully support that decision.

As for everything else, I really don't have the energy to respond.

Jack Moore90 said:Blah blah, the mods are doing their jobs—except for edge. The guy is arrogant, completely lacks objectivity, and honestly, I’m not surprised you’re backing him up. You two clearly live in the same bubble.

Look, I backed him a long time ago too, mostly because I feel he did more than anyone else to ensure people didn't ACT LIKE ANIMALS when he helped legitimize ZgSash along with his group of loyalists.
At the very least, thanks to him, we aren't constantly dealing with some massive political upheaval or seeing blatant chauvinism—stuff the size of an aircraft carrier—slipping under the radar every single day.

But let's get back to the actual point.
This whole mess started because that spammy site launched those lies again—lies that the exact same handful of users always latch onto—which inevitably leads to a wave of garbage posts that take days to clean up.
Why don't you just put up a disclaimer or some kind of warning right at the start to shut down that kind of mindless, idiotic content before it even gets a chance to flare up?

God bless this forum—it feels like every single person here is some kind of self-proclaimed expert, no matter where you click 🙂

But seriously, admin, have you ever considered actually stepping in and shutting down the endless free advertising for that spam site, daily.us? It’s a bottomless pit of pure fiction, cheap sensationalism, and manufactured hysteria designed solely to stir up constant, localized conflict every single day.

@ Raymond Ross33, there are just some people who lack any sense of proportion—honestly, they have zero concept of boundaries. It’s mostly a matter of basic decency, though in more extreme cases, you could argue it's actually a psychological issue, and maybe this digital space serves as a sort of makeshift therapy for them 😁
I’ve lost my temper more times than I can count with moderators who seem completely incapable of reigning in the aggressive crowds—whether it's at a football game or during a Formula 1 race—but clearly, it’s not like they actually want to educate people. It’s not exactly part of their job description to play teacher, is it?

That’s just how the world works, I guess. You have to accept that we aren't all cut from the same cloth and just learn to look out for yourself 😁
Blay finally 🙂

Jerry Rogers6 I'm not sure how else to answer you, other than noting our attempt to remain as objective and fair as possible.

What's the point, Charles—why bother with all this effort and good intentions from a handful of you when this entire thread has proven that things just don't hold up at the higher levels of administration?

That’s exactly why I figured it would be helpful if the supermods actually weighed in on these specific posts to clear up some confusion—but apparently, even that's asking too much.😁

If I may add—and I say this observing from the sidelines—it seems to me you're falling a bit too easily for the hysterical extremists who have made themselves at home here on Reddit; they're trolling you with nothing more than playground antics.
Because of all this, the current policy of this forum isn't going to last long before migrating toward something a bit more civilized—honestly, you'll eventually be forced to look under a microscope just to find people capable of having a quality discussion.

Thanks for the answers, regardless.😁

PS. Just as an aside, how much longer is it going to take you guys to realize that Harold Walker44 is just a clone of a public official?
