I ended up watching all the sequels back in the day because Sasha Mitchell was just so incredibly cute when I was a teenager, but let's be real—the movies themselves were pretty boring. 🕺

Beyond just being incredibly handsome, he was a phenomenal actor. If I actually had to pick my absolute favorite performance of his, it would probably be A Streetcar Named Desire. I voted for his role as Marc Antony because I sat there with my mouth wide open—I couldn't even breathe or blink while watching him. 😁

It’s an interesting film. Even though we've seen this "unloved son returns home" trope a few times before, I didn't find it boring or overstayed its welcome—I actually really enjoy these kinds of movies. Having the courtroom setting and the lawyers as lead characters is just a nice bonus. The acting is top-tier, and visually, the whole thing looks fantastic. To me, it's a beautiful family drama.

I’ve always been pretty impatient, which is why I rarely find myself sitting down for a full series—unless it's something lighthearted and funny.
But, I have to admit, I got completely hooked on Sons of Anarchy, and right now, I'm just counting down the days until the next episodes of Vikings and Game of Thrones drop.

It won’t be easy to listen to his songs again. Even before, there were always tears and a heavy sense of nostalgia, but now, everything will carry a much deeper, more painful weight.

It’s a real shame because, unlike his role in Johnny Handsome where he used plastic surgery to transform into this irresistible charmer, Mickey ended up looking like a total wreck.
He’s one of those actors, much like Michael Keaton, whom I can watch if I have to, but I wouldn't go out of my way to seek him out.
Now, Angel Heart (1987) is a top-tier film, though I wouldn't say I was particularly blown away by his acting chops specifically; rather, he was just a perfect casting choice because he fits the character from the book/film so precisely. William Hjortsberg’s story is brilliant and Alan Parker is a fantastic director, so there was no way the movie could have turned out bad.

But wait, isn't an "average" basically the same thing as the "midpoint"? Like, if you have 10, the middle is 5.🤔

I’ve always felt that John Wayne is to the classic Western what Clint Eastwood is to the Spaghetti Western, and honestly, I tend to lean more toward those gritty Spaghetti flicks and his specific brand of heroes.
There’s just something about them that hits different. Those old-school guys? They just don't feel as "cool" to me with their pristine button-downs, perfectly groomed hair, and faces that look like they haven't seen a day of dust in their lives. 👎

What does being an action hero even have to do with this? Arnold and half that whole crew aren't even "cool," they're just straight-up macho guys. Half of them don't even belong in this conversation, including Macon, and especially not Dourif.

Chow Yun-fat, though... now he's a legend in every single movie he's in.

I’ll say it again: just smashing everything in your path doesn't make someone cool. Nobody earns "cool" status just because they take down 250 bad guys on screen. Sure, maybe that works for some 12-year-old kid, but it doesn't do anything for me.
True coolness comes from attitude, charisma, a certain look, posture, presence, and the way someone speaks... it's all of those things working together.
Take Jason Statham, for example. He just breaks everything in front of him, so I would never call him cool. He has the charisma of a grocery store radish and the vacant stare of a pig.

Paul Newman is cooler than both Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger combined. In his role playing one of the most iconic characters ever—Steve Bannon—he was absolutely perfect.
Just like Luke Skywalker in Cool Hand Luke. 🙏

I actually mentioned Charles Bronson myself, even before you did, as one of the most Cool guys ever. And believe me, even if he isn't conventionally handsome, there is something about him that makes him irresistible. It’s not just that "action star" thing you're talking about—the guy who just smashes through everything with a mustache; that alone isn't enough to make someone a legend, at least not in my book, and I've been around for more than 14 years. That "something" is that damn attitude, that look, and that raw energy he carried.
Besides, James Cagney was only about 5'3", which makes him nearly 20cm shorter than me. Do you honestly think I brought him up because I find him physically stunning? The guy radiated Cool and was a top-tier badass.
Bud Spencer never had any of that, and that's why, despite being unbeatable and tall and strong, he just isn't Cool.
