The Rat Pack in Movies ·
You misunderstood me; my issue with Bud Spencer isn't about him not being good-looking, it's just that he doesn't strike me as Cool—he simply doesn't radiate that kind of energy.

Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were the absolute heroes of my childhood. It’s actually hard to put into words just how much I loved them back then, and honestly, how much I still adore them now. If I ever have kids, I might just name them after them—that’s really how much they mean to me. 😁
But while Hill was always that handsome, charming guy with that effortless Cool attitude and those stunning blue eyes—someone who looked incredible in any suit, especially a police uniform 😍—Bud was always my sweet, gentle giant. He had those small, dark eyes and such a kind soul; he wouldn't even step on an ant if he could help it. Even though he occasionally leveled villains with his "special fighting style," I would never quite associate him with the term The Rat Pack. Still, as a screen presence, he deserves nothing but admiration.

Absolutely stunning eyes. 🙂

Marlon Brando was easily the most handsome man to ever grace the screen; even Alain Delon couldn't hold a candle to him. 😍

It’s not even acting when they yell cut, you know? His whole life was basically one big, continuous theater performance. 😁

In his case, it's absolutely true—he couldn't hide his natural essence once the camera started rolling. That's exactly why he's so utterly magnetic in those roles where he plays those strange, enigmatic gangsters. 😍

@ Outrage, The man who would be king is easily one of the coolest movies ever made. If any film truly radiates pure Cool, it’s that one.

^ There’s so much more lurking behind an angelic face than meets the eye. 😁
I think most of us who grew up idolizing certain actors were only focused on their onscreen persona; what they actually did once the cameras stopped rolling is a completely different story.
That being said, Charles Bronson remains one of the coolest actors to ever do it in my book.

Steve McQueen was definitely a legend, but let’s be real—there is only one true "Rat Pack" when it comes to pure coolness, and that’s Michael Caine.
He takes the top spot, with maybe Charles Bronson sitting just a few steps behind him as the second coolest guy to ever do it.🙏

I only ever found myself obsessing over details like that when I was watching classic Hollywood cinema. It’s actually pretty fascinating how they... When you look back at the heavy hitters from classic Hollywood, there’s no question that some of the most powerhouse female characters ever written came from that era. I'm talking specifically about film noir—where the women weren't just background noise, they were often the ones driving the entire plot through sheer force of will. And don't even get me started on the Westerns; it feels like every truly great Western absolutely required one formidable woman to ground the story and give it some real teeth. It’s just not there anymore. You see movies nowadays where you can tell the filmmakers are really putting in the effort, but they just can't seem to reach that level of excellence established by classic Hollywood.

(No content provided to rewrite.) 🙏

When I think about the absolute peak of men's style, James Stewart is my definitive pick. There’s just something about that level of elegance and pure charm he brought to the screen. It's unmatched. 😍(Sorry, I have to use this hated little smiley face again.) 😁 )

Look, HBO's shows are in a league of their own when it comes to quality, but let's be honest—they can get pretty tedious, just like most other series out there.
Take The Sopranos, for instance. I absolutely love mob movies and books; if it involves that kind of subject matter, I'm reading it or watching it. So, while The Sopranos is top-tier television for me, there were definitely moments where it felt a bit slow.

I’m not really a big fan of those kinds of series; honestly, I’ll almost always pick a movie over a TV show. But when it comes to comedies, I definitely lean toward series—whether they’re classics or newer stuff—and, of course, Sons of Anarchy. 🙏
Actors: Marriage isn't all bad in Movies ·
Warren Beatty was seriously easy on the eyes 😍 I honestly doubt he’s the only actor who leveraged his fame and good looks, though he might be the only one honest enough to actually lay it all out with the numbers. 😁
Actors: Marriage isn't all bad in Movies ·
Kurt Russell & Goldie Hawn 😍, they aren't officially married, but they've been an inseparable couple since the early 80s.
James Woods in Movies ·
I honestly had this overwhelming urge to just strangle him while I was watching The Onion Field (1979). Since he’s playing such a spineless, absolutely repulsive villain, you have to admit he did a hell of a job portraying that level of sleaze.🙂

She wouldn't be hot even if you tossed her into a blast furnace.

Bad actor? Dustin Hoffman. Every time I see him, my digestion kicks into gear.

Oh, come on...☕
A remake of Scarface? WTF? in Movies ·
cosmiclynx57 said:Ha. Yeah, right. Like you somehow skipped remake The Thing ('82), which is one of your absolute favorites. You keep saying you don't watch remakes, but honestly? You're just lying to yourself.

Look, if a 30-year-old Kurt Russell is starring in it, then maybe I'll give this one a shot.☕

A remake is just a remake... I won't be the first or the last person to skip this one and pretend it doesn't even exist...☕

Man, I am actually cracking up at this guy's take. 😂

It’s easily the most epic entry in the Dollars Trilogy and honestly the best one too. It’s also arguably the best movie dealing with the North vs. South dynamic, though they basically just serve as a backdrop here.
I think this might be my first time really seeing Eli Wallach in this role, and honestly, I’ve seen enough—I don't need to see him anywhere else, because I don't want to ruin the incredible impression he just made. It's hard to top a performance this good.

Seriously, a career-defining role. 🙏
Clint is just on another level.

Sergio Leone is a directing genius; I definitely need to sit down and watch his entire filmography.

That scene where they're circling the cemetery? Absolutely otherworldly. 🙏
And those battle scenes—the sheer number of extras, plus the costume design and production value, were just stunning. 🙏

The score is phenomenal, too. You can't even decide which track from the trilogy is better.

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

It would be such a shame to skip the amazing The Magnificent Seven (1960) just because of that.☕
By the way, I’m actually jealous—it would be so cool if you could experience all those movies for the very first time again.😍

It's just a fun, lighthearted, and pretty silly movie.
Once Upon a Time in America (Sergio Leone) in Movies ·
I only watched this movie once in my entire life, maybe five or six years ago around Christmas, and never again. It’s one of those films you don't just sit through every couple of years; it isn't your typical flick. It's a genuine gem that you prefer to appreciate from a distance. One of my absolute favorite actors since I was a kid is Charles Bronson 😍, and he delivers what is arguably the finest performance of his career here. Apparently, he actually had a similar temperament in real life to the character he plays. As for Claudia, she’s probably the greatest lady to ever grace the screen, but her character in this specific film? I don't think there is a better or more perfect female lead in any Western 🙏

I've been eyeing this box set on Amazon

It is simply a must-have 🙏
Cast your dream actors for these roles! in Movies ·
Maybe so, but it would be interesting—really, truly interesting, I have no doubt about that.
The way I see it, Hoffman was born to play David Sumner; honestly, it’s probably the most perfect casting choice in cinema history.
