I've been using Fact cream and suppositories for about 5 or 6 days now, but honestly, I haven't seen much of a difference yet.
My doctor told me I need to stay away from any kind of sports until this clears up. It’s incredibly frustrating because I'm a really active guy, and sitting around doing nothing is driving me crazy.
What have you guys experienced? Any specific advice from doctors regarding this sort of thing😕?

She gave you good advice. Straining is definitely not the move. Don't go lifting heavy things either. Light walks are fine, but pushing yourself during a run is just asking for trouble...☕

I’m definitely going to take your advice to heart. For now, my first step is heading back to the hospital for a check-up. I actually bolted from there last time because they wanted to perform a rectoscopy on me. I plan to ask the doctor all my questions, but until then, I’ll try sticking to some creams and a better diet. Most likely, this whole mess started because I rely on laxatives too much due to chronic constipation. And even now, I can't seem to stop; if I don't go to the bathroom one day, I start losing my mind. It just feels wrong, though maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Just watch what you eat and drink. 🙂

Classic him. They really should have handed him a disqualification there. To be honest, he’s pulled even bigger stunts in the past without getting flagged, so I see this as his cumulative penalty finally catching up to him.😁

Massa did an incredible job, too. Even with that broken rear wing, he was lightning fast.🙏
I’ve got hair on my chest. There's some on the back of my neck just below the hairline too, though nothing crazy—just something a barber handles during a trim. My back is a bit hairy as well, but nothing extreme. Honestly, I love my "tapestry." It’s pretty damn sexy. There’s that old saying:"A man without a belly is like a Ford without a badge." (Though I can't say I agree with that one—I don't have a belly😁) I’d probably add:"A man without hair is like a Ford without a badge...". Now, I definitely vibe with that last one, considering the tapestry I'm rocking up front...😁☕

If anyone has some insight, I’d really appreciate it. About ten months ago, right after I got back from a trip to India, I noticed blood in my stool for the first time. Since then, it's happened a few more times. The most recent episode was just a couple of days ago—I had some pretty bad pain during a bowel movement because things were quite hard, and there was a significant amount of blood. About six months back, I also felt some protrusion in the anal area after going to the bathroom. What’s really starting to worry me are these pains on the left side of my abdomen and the fact that my bowel movements have changed; they're mostly loose, sometimes formed, and rarely hard. I'm only 26. I can't tell if this is just hemorrhoids or something much worse. To be honest, I'm terrified to actually go see a doctor because I'm scared of hearing bad news.

The explanation here is actually quite solid. If you head back to the previous page, you can find the full breakdown of how the procedure works step-by-step. If you’re looking for some clarity on hemorrhoidal disease, check out this page from Arithera. It covers everything from symptoms to treatment options. Honestly, it’s one of those topics people tend to avoid talking about, but having clear information makes a huge difference when you're trying to figure out what's actually going on. It's worth a read if you want to understand the medical side of things without all the usual fluff.

Watch what you eat. Avoid spicy food. And you absolutely cannot afford to have diarrhea. You really need to see a doctor to get this checked out. If you're dealing with hemorrhoids, you have to avoid both diarrhea and constipation at all costs...

Timothy Jones4 said:Five days ago, after a night out drinking, I suddenly ended up with a hemorrhoid on my left side. It popped up out of nowhere—thick, inflamed, the whole deal. I’d had tiny ones before, maybe pea-sized, in that same spot, and they’d vanish in a day. But this is different. For five days now, I’ve been doing multiple chamomile soaks a day, using Faktu ointment, some calendula, and even some oil a few times daily. The first couple of days were absolute chaos every time I hit the restroom; the pain was intense. By day three and four, things smoothed out, and today isn't bad at all. The catch? It's still thick. It hasn't shrunk yet. The pain is gone, and I’ve switched to a cleaner diet, drinking way more water and taking magnesium supplements. Can anyone tell me how long treatment usually takes for this to actually go away? Or if it's already too swollen, am I looking at a doctor visit and some kind of cauterization or surgery? This is honestly the worst possible timing for this to happen. Just awful.

At least the pain has subsided. Now, just be very careful about what you eat.

Back in May, I noticed some rectal bleeding. I went to see my doctor, they did a digital rectal exam, and everything seemed perfectly fine. After I cleaned up my diet, the bleeding stopped completely, and I didn't see any more until today. Honestly, I was terrified. I've gone back to eating junk food lately, so this probably makes sense, but it's still scary. To make matters worse, I've developed this blistery rash on my arms. My dermatologist told me it’s like a signal from the inside—a sort of internal warning light—but he wasn't sure what was causing it. At the time, my blood work came back normal, though I was told I needed to retest.

I'm wondering how deep hemorrhoids would have to be to cause bleeding that wouldn't show up during a standard digital exam. I'm bracing for the worst here. I really don't want to be facing colon issues when I'm only 21...

help me please 😢(((

edit: There's no pain or stinging around the area. I have been feeling a bit nauseous in my stomach and throat for a while now, but nothing like actual vomiting. I'm hoping it's just the heat... hmmm

Hmm, if that's the case, it might not be hemorrhoids. A doctor would typically catch those during an exam. Don't panic just yet; it doesn't necessarily mean something catastrophic is happening, but you definitely need to keep investigating. I don't think this is directly related to this specific thread either, and there are plenty of other reasons why bleeding can occur. You should go see a specialist immediately—I'm not sure which one specifically, but you need a thorough evaluation. In my opinion, it likely isn't hemorrhoids. Good luck...🙂

Walter Stewart19 said:Hey everyone. Honestly, after reading through all these posts, I’m completely lost. It’s just one person bashing another this, someone else arguing that, and I have no idea what to believe anymore. At this point, I’m leaning toward thinking the doctor is actually our best bet.
I think I have hemorrhoids. Maybe once or twice before—I assume they were external because they felt like little lumps while I was washing up, and they really stung. They never actually bled back then, and the pain cleared up after a few days. But now, I’ve got some small ones that aren't quite as painful, though I am seeing some blood on the toilet paper. 😲
I'm not entirely sure if it’s actually possible that they burst or started bleeding just because I've been out riding my bike lately. 22 miles So, I’ve got this issue with my hemorrhoids. They feel really hard right now. About a year ago, I had some intense pain once, but there wasn't any bleeding back then. Now... things are different. Is it actually possible that they burst because of cycling? I’ve been riding a pretty grueling route lately, and honestly, I'm not exactly in peak physical condition. I noticed blood immediately right after finishing my first ride.

Why aren't you reading my posts? I’ve already laid everything out for you—I'm probably the most qualified person here to be giving this advice. Look, pushing yourself too hard isn't worth it if you're dealing with hemorrhoids. You really need to go see a doctor and have them take a look. There are permanent ways to handle this, just like I explained before. Other people have mentioned this here as well. Good luck. 🙂

I’ve read through most of this thread and scoured the web, but I still really need some advice.
About a week ago, I noticed some bleeding during bowel movements. It was likely triggered by being constipated—I've been stuck at home for four weeks dealing with mono. There's also been some itching. For a couple of years now, I’ve had something near my anus that is clearly a hemorrhoid. It hasn't caused any pain or discomfort until about five days ago. "It" isn't hard; it's just a pinkish bump that fluctuates in size.
There isn't any pain when I go, just a bit of a "tugging" sensation.
For the last four days, I've been using an Ultraproct suppository once a day, but so far, nothing is helping.

Just to be clear, I know I need to see a doctor, but I honestly dread the idea. And I can't figure out if they are internal or external. Usually, external ones hurt, but mine don't. Is it possible an internal one "popped out" two years ago and nothing else has changed since? Again, it’s not hard, it's just a normal pink color, and it doesn't bother me much.

Sorry to bother you all, I just feel awkward asking anyone. Thanks!

PS Can someone explain what a swollen anal papilla actually is? Out of everything I've seen online, mine looks the most like those pictures.

After nearly twenty years of messing around with hemorrhoids, I consider myself pretty well-informed—almost an expert in the field.😁 If you've been following my posts, you know I had surgery and I feel like a brand new person. I can't speak on anal papillae because I'm not a doctor, but please, go get checked out whenever you can. External hemorrhoids don't always have to hurt. Nor do internal ones. You won't truly know what you're dealing with until a professional looks at it. It’s probably just hemorrhoids. They can definitely itch. Why? Well, when they swell up and irritate the skin or mucous membrane, it itches just like any other healing lesion. And man, can it itch. When it itches, that's usually okay—it means things are healing. As for what happens down the road, who knows, but for now, try using a soothing cream. It should help with the irritation and definitely dial back the itching. God, just thinking about how bad it used to itch for me...☕

Interesting clips you shared. I noticed they didn't include any diagrams or animations showing the specific vein patterns feeding the hemorrhoids, though. That said, your explanation of the classic stitching method was spot on. Really appreciate the effort you put into this. I remember seeing a photo of my own condition right before surgery—it was honestly gruesome. It’s important to see stuff like that because this isn't something to mess around with. Things can get life-threatening if complications arise. Seriously, don't wait; find a reputable doctor immediately. As for me, I finally got rid of the constant discomfort, and I feel like a whole new person. For anyone living near a major hub like Chicago, you can look back at my previous posts to see which clinic I used. If you go there to get it handled, you won't regret it. Good luck to everyone out there, and please, remember: stop trying to self-treat. Go to a professional to fix the issue. The longer you stall, the worse the consequences become and the more complicated things get...

mistymaker8 said:Hey everyone. For those of you who have dealt with complicated hemorrhoids before, do you ever get that feeling of being "full"? Like you just haven't fully emptied? Also, does anyone else deal with rectal pain? Sometimes when I sit down too fast, I get this sharp stabbing sensation inside that makes me jump right back up. I've also had some pretty heavy bleeding after using the bathroom.

I can't speak to your specific symptoms, but listen, honey—if there's bleeding and pain, don't just sit there waiting. Go see a doctor immediately. If you want more details on how bad things can get, go back and read my old posts to see what I went through myself...

I don't know anything about fissures, and honestly, thank God for that—I have zero experience dealing with them. But from what I can gather, forcing anything through when it hurts just doesn't make sense. You shouldn't have to go through sheer agony just to hope for a better outcome later on. That seems totally illogical to me. It feels like you're just inviting more tearing and even more pain. If I were in this position, I’d head out and see another specialist to get a second opinion and see if there’s some other kind of therapy they could suggest instead...

Thomas Doyle462 said:Here’s my update. It’s been nearly two months since I went private for the DG-HAL procedure with Dr. Ivanovic. Unfortunately, I don't have much good news to share. Aside from a few days dealing with some hard stools, the recovery process itself wasn't too bad. BUT, about two weeks ago, things flared up again—this time with an external hemorrhoid. Honestly, looking at how things are going, I don't think this is over. A week ago, I started feeling a stinging sensation during bowel movements, and the situation has just kept getting worse over the last seven days. I’ve realized I likely have a fissure that’s starting to complicate things. I started using a cream from Hades which offers a little relief; it helped my father when he dealt with similar issues, so I'm hoping for the same luck. All in all, in my case, that "permanent" fix didn't quite stick. If things continue to slide downhill like this, I’ll be giving the DG-HAL method a major thumbs down, especially since it’s only been six weeks since the surgery.
I think forums exist precisely so people can see all sides of the story. Sadly, my side falls right into that "4-6% recurrence rate" they mention in their marketing.
So, here is the breakdown for DG-HAL+RAR per zzzkomarac:
1. Painless—not really. It hurts, just maybe not as much as the other options.
2. 94-96% success rate in preventing recurrence—not true for me. I ended up with my first post-op hemorrhoid and a fissure just a month after the procedure.
3. Quick return to work—true. I was back at the office ten days after the surgery.
4. No complications—mostly true, except for some minor bleeding during bowel movements for about three weeks.
5. Would I do the surgery again given this experience? Maybe. The bleeding stopped, and I honestly didn't believe the recurrence claim in the first place. The only real issue is the fissure, which is something I could have ended up with regardless.
Best regards; keeping a cool head and staying well-informed will help you make the right choice and find a way out of your problems, but my advice is don't wait too long...

It sounds like your procedure wasn't done correctly. When everything is handled properly, there shouldn't be any chance of the hemorrhoids returning. It means the laser didn't hit the right vein or failed to close it off completely. As for the fissure, that might not even be related to the hemorrhoids at all...

Thomas King28 said:Hey there,

It’s been seven days since my surgery, and I’m still here. Recovery is happening, slowly but surely.

For anyone out there struggling, my biggest advice is to get a real diagnosis. I honestly thought my situation wasn't that bad. Turns out, it was stage 4, thrombosed, and had a fissure. Thankfully, I finally got that sorted out.

Big thanks to Michael Diaz4, who I talked to the most, and Karen Thompson10, who really started this whole journey for me.

Don't worry about thanking us. The main thing is that you're finally free from the pain. It just goes to show what I've always believed: you can't truly know what's going on inside your body until a doctor actually examines you. Now, please, don't spend the entire summer sitting around. Not even if you feel like it. One woman on this forum might have dealt with massive bleeding specifically because she waited too long. This surgery might mess with your summer plans, but hang in there—it'll be worth it. Just keep the wound clean. Rinse it constantly in the shower. Wounds heal much faster when they stay clean. That’s exactly what the doctor told me. Just follow medical advice to the letter. Don't go experimenting on yourself...
