😉You didn't even mention what you're actually dealing with! You haven't said a single word about your diagnosis...
Neotigason is a really tricky medication👍

Sophia Martinez3 said:Hey there! How has Neotigason been working for you? Personally, I’ve had some amazing results with it...

Right back at ya!

So, for me, I started at 30mg a day. Within just 20 days, I felt like a whole new person—everything cleared up like it was never even there.
No side effects at all, seriously, none. I was getting my bloodwork checked every 10 to 15 days to stay safe. The only thing was, the erythrodermia had left my skin feeling pretty thin.
Over the course of a year, things stayed pretty much the same, maybe just a tiny bit worse than when I first started.

The following year, I tried the same dose again. But man, I ended up in the hospital because of some heart issues and blood pressure problems, so I had to stop the Neotigason therapy right then and there.

Bottom line? It actually agreed with me pretty well.

The only real headache was having to stick to a super strict "diet," plus the realization that I couldn't be a blood donor—not exactly the best news to swallow.

Best,

Tell me, do you know if liver enzyme levels have anything to do with psoriasis? My son's GGT levels came back lower than normal.

Back in the summer of 2005, my psoriasis vulgaris decided to level up by adding psoriatic arthritis and erythrodermic psoriasis to the mix. Talk about lucky, right?
At that point, I had to go on Neotigason therapy.
Before I could even touch the Neotigason, I had to get a full blood panel done.
Here’s how my initial results looked—the ones you're asking about: ASAT was 14 out of 25, ALAT was 10 out of 25, alkaline phosphatase was 172 out of 230, and Gamma GT was 12 out of 38, with a minimum value of 5.

is there a link between high triglycerides and psoriasis?

👍That’s exactly what a treated spot looks like when the psoriasis is finally backing off! You just have to stay the course and be persistent.

As for triglycerides, mine have always stayed within the normal range, unlike my psoriasis.👎

Count me in on this thread too. I’m obsessed with sport fishing—especially casting with a pendulum setup. But when the weather turns sour or the season shifts, I just switch over to bottom fishing.

Cheers!

Robin Robinson8 said:I'm not sure if anyone here has dealt with erythrodermia or even knows what it feels like, :

Hey everyone!

Figured I'd jump in here and join the conversation. Just wanted to let you guys know I'm in the same boat. It's been almost 40 years now since I started dealing with plaque psoriasis. Then, about three years back, everything went sideways—erythrodermia and arthritis hit me all at once.
My skin got so thin, it was crazy. Seriously, it felt thinner than a sheet of cigarette paper. My feet swelled up so bad I couldn't fit into any shoes at all. Even in the middle of summer, I was walking around in wool socks because I was constantly freezing. My body just couldn't hold onto heat anymore.
I really have to thank Neotigason for getting me through this—started on a 30mg dose. For topical stuff, I was just using white petroleum jelly mixed with olive oil and St. John's Wort oil.

I actually just read somewhere that mixing 3-5% salicylic acid into petroleum jelly for the body works wonders. And for the scalp? Use olive oil with that same percentage of salicylic acid. Pretty sure I saw it mentioned in the New England Journal of Medicine.

That's all for now.

Hey there!

Thanks for the help! I'm seeing that prices in Canada are seriously steep—almost double what they are in Austria. Over there, a bottle of 120 capsules meant for psoriasis (since you take four a day) only runs about $26. So yeah, huge difference!

Those ones from Canada come in 90-capsule bottles. They're actually specifically formulated for treating arthritis because the ratio of Polypodium extract to rhizome is different.

Thanks so much for listening! Much appreciated!👍

Best wishes to you all!👍

I had a friend look into it for me, but now I’m sitting here wondering if they’ll actually pull the trigger and buy it. It's nowhere to be found in the pharmacies—at least not in the ones they checked.
Honestly? The thing that gave me the most hope was seeing a photo of a woman who had undergone a mastectomy using this stuff. If she could make it work, I can too.

I told them right away: even if it doesn't work, so what? It's not like it's my first time throwing money at something that doesn't pan out.😉

But hey, I’m not giving up. And I don't let psoriasis get under my skin too much because, like the saying goes, hope dies last.☕

Stay healthy!

Hey everyone, especially @phyto, could you do me a huge favor and check out this page? Seriously, take a look at those before and after photos KALAWALLE .
I’m sitting here wondering if ordering this was actually worth it. I already pulled the trigger and placed my order, so now it's a waiting game—fingers crossed it actually arrives and isn't just more money down the drain! Just please, look at those pictures. Sending good vibes to everyone!

Remember when I used to bug you about posting your stats over at JMG?

Look, I've checked with some top-tier experts and scoured the web—none of those addresses or phone numbers actually exist in the US.

Just remember: online shopping is basically a playground for scammers.

😉You shouldn't even be weighing in on this since you aren't actually using any of it.
At the end of the day, you're stuck 311 milesaway from us, messing things up for certain members... so why shouldn't both the guy right here and the guy 50,000 miles away mess things up too?

Those "experts" of yours are the same ones who claimed there were 700 different species of prosciutto back in the day.

Don't talk to me about scams.👎

Hey everyone. No matter how old you are when psoriasis hits, it’s a massive blow to your self-esteem with lasting effects. It’s even tougher if you get it young, like during childhood. Older folks seem to adapt to living with it faster, while kids really struggle with those marks—it's like watching life pass them by. That’s why I’m encouraging our new member Carol Patel85 to jump into the discussions here. Self-pity won't help anyone; honestly, it just does more harm than good.
Michelle Parker3, since you're dealing with psoriatic arthritis alongside rheumatoid arthritis, it all feels like the same battle anyway. Your best bet is getting both a dermatologist and a rheumatologist to team up on your diagnosis.
I already ordered my 6th bottle of Kalawallai. One bottle has 120 capsules, which lasts a month, and it's about $40 in the USA.
I'd love to hear what you guys think, but first, check out this link: WWW.organichope.com. It has about twenty before-and-after photos from people using Kalawallai.

Olivia Ramos66 said:From what I can tell, Kalawallai is basically just a plant extract. Polypodium leucotomos. Clinical studies have actually shown this stuff works for treating vitiligo, senile dementia, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis. It acts like a shield against UV damage, stops angiogenesis in its tracks, and provides immunomodulatory effects—basically helping to dial down the immune system a bit.
It's taken orally. It seems pretty safe, but since this plant is still relatively new to the world of herbal medicine, we don't fully know the long-term effects of taking it constantly or what the exact "safe" dose really looks like. Your best bet? Stick to the specific dosages used in clinical studies.
Check this out: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/6...RVAbstractPlus
There are more studies out there, but unfortunately, I can't even get my hands on the abstracts.

Thanks a million for all the help! Seriously, you guys are the best.
I'm gonna make sure that order gets placed through a buddy tomorrow. It's the fastest way to go. If that falls through, I'll just try hitting up their distribution email instead!

Best wishes!

Checking in after a long while! Things are looking pretty good—my psoriasis is actually staying quiet right now. Who knows how long that'll last, but overall, I'm feeling positive. I've been sticking to the creams rapidpanther41 suggested, plus my absolute favorites: St. John's Wort oil and calendula cream.
Since I need to get ready for spring and summer—hoping for that seasonal turnaround—I swung by a local health food store and stumbled upon an interesting link.
It’s about this supplement calledKalawallai. From what I can gather, it's a natural remedy used to help manage things like psoriasis, vitiligo, lupus, and MS.
My English isn't quite sharp enough to dive deep into all the technical details of this stuff, so I was wondering if you guys could help me out? Or maybe I should just ask Olivia Ramos66.
If you just search for Kalawallai, you'll find tons of info online.

Best to everyone!👍

EkatarinaVelika;11508945 said:Hey everyone 🙂

For quite a while now—maybe 5 to 8 years—I've had these tiny little dots on my nails. It looks like someone poked them with needles. I’m wondering if this could be linked to psoriasis.
Aside from that, I don't see any other changes on my nails, the skin around them, or my cuticles.

The nail situation is really starting to worry me. Even though things haven't changed much over the years, those little spots seem to be spreading and covering more area.

🥳
It definitely can be related to psoriasis. There's actually a specific type calledPsoriasis unguium that shows up pretty often. With that, the nail ends up looking kind of like a thimble.
You might also see stuff like brittleness, roughness, ridges, or even yellowish spots under the nail.

That's basically what I know, though maybe some other folks here can give you a more detailed breakdown.

Either way, it's probably best to go see a dermatologist. They can give you a real diagnosis and figure out the right treatment plan for you.

Take care!
