Man, I'm gonna end up looking like a freaking turtle in a shell. I actually read something about washing your scalp with Noni juice. Have you ever tried that, or does anyone else have any experience with it?🙏
The whole deal with the unnamed effect is that any kind of trauma—whether you scrape it mechanically or hit it with some chemical or agent the skin just won't take—it basically triggers the first spots where psoriasis might start spreading if it's already on the move... You could technically try
(though I really wouldn't suggest it) making a tiny little scratch on some other part of your body... as the psoriasis expansion moves forward, that should theoretically be one of the first places it pops up.
As for those psoriasis scales... you absolutely cannot scrub them off mechanically or use anything abrasive...
So the big question is what do you even do... Basically, you either gotta manage it with ointments or salicylic acid gels (which is what mainstream doctors recommend), or just keep slathering stuff on until that hard, flaky crust softens up enough to just fall off on its own... But look, the effectiveness of any product is totally different for everyone... it's weird, but something that works for you once might totally fail you the next time.
Personally, I always tried to keep my hair cut super short so I could get as much sunlight hitting my scalp as possible, which is great for preventing flare-ups. Also, stay away from blow-drying your hair because that dries out the skin and makes psoriasis worse, and don't rub your head with a towel either since that's way too abrasive.
The best part about having short hair is that it's easy to dry and maintain (plus it looks pretty good on me 😉)
Back when I was dealing with it heavily, I was applying everything under the sun—unnamed, Sinoderm gel, unnamed... all sorts of cortisone creams and corticosteroids, mixed in with natural salves (even honey-based ones) and lotions made of olive oil, brandy, and herbal tinctures... I honestly felt like a freak, just staring in the mirror in total shock...
It would sort of just heal itself, or rather, it would recede sporadically, bit by bit, then disappear again.
But then a month ago, it came back full force, and I'm talking massive... I went back to the steroids, but they did absolutely nothing... now I'm using some ointment (a mix of lard and St. John's Wort oil) but unfortunately, it’s not doing a thing—actually, things are even worse now on the rest of my body 😠
Regarding that Noni juice stuff, I saw a ton of commercials and "miracle" stories about it ages ago, but honestly, I never tried it or used it myself (I just didn't trust it) and I haven't met anyone who actually uses it for psoriasis or anything else.
Hope you have better luck than I am.😳
